I will start by saying I went for a late lunch. With that the price was great but the mac & cheese was dry. The curry was good and the cabbage was avg. I would go again at the start of lunch

blaah! I’ve tasted better. They need Jamaican men in there, they can cook better than the Jamaican women. I don’t know why, but I found a better place that knows how to cook great curry chicken.

Food is great! The staff are very friendly. The fried plantains are a MUST! Came upon the restaurant by accident. But I will be back for sure.

I can’t believe this place has such bad reviews ! The food was delicious. And the service was better than excellent, which is very hard to find in Fayetteville. The girl that was working was extremely nice and went out of her way to make sure we had everything we needed. We were also greeted as soon as we came in. The only thing I wasn’t too happy about. Was that my jerk chicken was mostly bone instead of chicken. When we paid for our food I didn’t leave a tip because it didn’t seem like an actual restaurant. After, I felt bad for not leaving one because the service was so great. Overall, I’m really glad I discovered this place, I will be back.

This restaurant advertises breakfast from 6am-10am. This is untrue. I’ve had my mouth watering just off the thought of having porridge in the morning only to find they were closed 2 different times, when I went to have breakfast. On top of that, the employees were arguing loud enough for customers to hear it. The cashier is kind of weird. I’ve had the sorrel, which was good. The callaloo was not what I expected it to be. It was kind of salty.

Food was Meh. Place looks like a place that should charge $ 5bucks a plate, but it’s not!!! It’s way over priced. &&&& I’m assuming the cashier owns the place otherwise she wouldn’t have such a snotty attitude! She was arguing with the cook too and didn’t care one bit about the customers. Was also rude to this other girl. Idk how they are still in business … I only landed here because the Thai place was closed other wise I would have been eating my delicious green curry and not mediocre food.

Customer service lacked and trying to get food during lunch was a hassle. Staff seemed very out of sync. Food is ok

I got curry chicken with steamed cabbage and rice with peas. The rice seriously had less than 5 peas in it. The cabbage was mediocre. The curry chicken was alright — the chicken was cooked well, but it was like the curry sauce had been weakened way down. Paid $ 9.18 for this meal. Definitely over-priced, I’ve been to other Jamaican places that serve better quality food for less.

As someone of west indian descent, I am well aware of what real Jamaican food looks and smells like. The woman at the counter acted as though I owed her something, typical caribbean attitude like you’re giving them work to do –even when they work in a customer service position. I asked for my beef patty on coco bread and she looked at me like I was out of my mind… I also asked for a patty with cheese and she responded as though this was the most strange request she’s ever received. Meanwhile, both of which are typical variations of serving a patty. p.s I will not be going back and they need to get rid of the«caribbean shop owner» attitude. That might pass for Americans, not me!

I went here exactly ONE time and will return. The stewed goat was really tender and flavorful, and I know how difficult it is to tenderize goat. The service was friendly but very slow. That’s okay because she was by herself and there was a few customers in there. The way the restaurant is set up you order and pay at the cash register first and they bring the food to your table. It is not necessarily a traditional wait staff type of place

Food wasn’t terrible, but not outstanding. I much prefer Mystic Diner on Bragg Blvd. The real problem was the service. The waitress didn’t say a word to us, and right away treated us like an annoyance. She still didn’t say anything when we asked for more menus. She just pointed. Yes, she spoke English. We ended up getting another waitress later. She was better. But then, I got overcharged for my drink. Asked her to fix the bill. Still overcharged. The service is what makes me give only one star. Definitely not going back here. Did I mention Mystic Diner is better?

Hands down THEBEST Jamaican food I’ve had since moving here. I’m from New York so I’m very hard to please when it comes to ethnic food. I’ve tried other Caribbean restaurants in the area and most were subpar in taste and appearance but this place impressed me. Highly recommended!

This was the worst Jamaican food I’ve ever had. This place is not busy and now i know why. They need new cooks in the back cause the food was god awful. I doubt if this place survives very long. Had a lot of employees just standing around. Need to train them on how to cook. Took me too long to receive my order as well event though they weren’t busy. If you want authentic Jamaican food, don’t go here.

I’m not sure why this pops up as Italian… The name is Jamaican vibes. First off, great location right outside the Reilly gate off post. Second, they have a buffet for lunch. But you might want to get there ahead of the crowd. There is one cashier and the line is long. She is sweet but does not move quickly. She did try and make it up by passing out some free cabbage side dishes after the line died down though. That’s the little bit of extra service that makes regulars. The lunch crowd is definitely all green suitors though. They have your regular soft drinks but also sell Jamaican drinks. I tried the malt drink… Just out of curiosity, warning, drink only of you like the taste of malt or molasses. The lunch buffet, your choice of regular rice or Jamaican ‘rice and peas,(which is rice with kidney beans?) they offered three meat choices, curry chicken, jerk chicken, and goat. The meat was tender and fall off the bone, and beware, lots of bones… The jerk chicken was by far the best, but it’s got a bit of a kick. They had pretty good cheesy Mac and cheese, and I swore to my colleagues that this was a vegetable :) The restaurant is small, and they haven’t worked out a good system yet, as the trays are too big for the tables, and you end of giving it back to the front cashier. After your first round at the buffet, no place to put your used dishes. And then you awkwardly stand at the side of the cashier line to ask for another plate. And on a hot summer day, whew the ac must be on at a minimum cus it gets warm in here! Overall, loved the new place, the town needs more variety in lunch options. I say do the buffet… Cus if you order it ala carte, it does take a while. But if you want some jerk chicken and tings, try Jamaican Vibez…

I always get the craving for jerk chicken in the most peculiar times. Fortunately for me, I saw this place on Unilocal and was on that side of the town, so I popped in. It’s settled in a plaza that also serves Italian and Thai, so that’s convenient should I want an order of pad thai with my jerk chicken and rice and peas. You can order a plate or box of food, with an entrée and two sides, or the buffet route. I chose to get a medium sized jerk chicken with rice and peas and cabbage to-go, which was served promptly by a friendly guy. My jerk chicken had more bony parts than what I’m used to, but still, it was still tasty enough — not too salty like sometimes it can tend to be. There were other typical Jamaican foods, like curry chicken, ox tails, and various sea food entrees. There were also sodas and punches, and individually sliced desserts like rum cake. All in all, a pleasant experience. I’d make a note to try the buffet, I think it was around $ 9, the next time when I’m particularly hungry.
