ABC Liquor

they do not have a mixer section. how weird is that? however, they do have every liquor you could want under the sun. no beer or wine though, which is a bummer. they are literally a liquor store in that they only have liquor.

Packaged liquor stores are great… This one is no exception.
I love these places because it’s a veritable cornucopia of happiness when considering ADULT BEVERAGES. I mean, don’t get me wrong, I love being able to pick up a bottle of bubbly while making groceries (if you’re from NEW ORLEANS, you get the reference); but something about being in a store where the cheese (smashed grapes in this case) stand alone, woooooohooooooo. As far as the eye can see LIQUOR LIQUOR LIQUOR & guess what…
MORE LIQUOR. It makes choosing your poison relatively easy.
Arrangement of booze is such that types of alcohol are grouped together… Which makes the pickings all the easier. Scotch over here… Tequila (my personal favorite) over here… Holiday drinks ie eggnog over here… Oh and there are mixers & such so you’re not taking it straight to the head.
Quick note: NO BEER!!! Or Wine for that matter. No where in sight. But alllll the Liquor that your little kidneys can handle.
I found the staff to be friendly & apt to make a shift to get rid of long lines swiftly by setting up a make-​shift credit/​debit card ONLY line.
Parking is spacious, but contained to the lot that the store sits on & entering & exiting is straight off a main thoroughfare, be careful.
Sidenote: its fun to see an empty lot mid day & the closer it gets to the 9pm shut «no-​sale hour», the lot gets dense like fog.
