Benner’s Meadow Run Camp Grounds

We have tent camped here for the past 8 years. Atmosphere is family friendly, well kept, and clean. Activities are designed to include the entire family from the elderly to the very young and young at heart. We built regatta boats and raced them, played bingo, swam in the pool, and enjoyed the DJ sat night. We also participated in the themed «Wet and Wild» weekend with the squirt gun wagon ride in which all on the wagon had a little squirt gun to spray. An added twist came with the residents set up to greet us with water balloons and squirt guns to return fire and one with a hose was really having fun. We laughed really hard. The store and laundry are really nice as it rained and we forgot a few things. The showers and restrooms are great and kept clean and stocked. The camp ground has cabins for those who do not like tents and you can bring your own camper as well.

This was our third stay here. This is a very family friendly campground and we love the quiet hours. Although we did not care for the Mtn Cottage 2, we loved cabin 3 and 4. Staff is very friendly and helpful and cabins are clean in appearance. Pool is very nice and there is putt-​putt and an arcade for the kids. Camp office is well supplied and there is a snack bar. Central to many local activities. There is even a safety gate to keep non-​campers out.

This place was terrific. Perfectly located in the heart of all the tristate outdoor action. Amazingly friendly and helpful customer service. Great cabin! Nice hot shower. Comfy bed. Low key relaxing atmosphere. Getting the room was a breeze. Highly recommend making Benners part of your high adventure vacation.

If you’re looking for a campground (as opposed to just tossing a tent in a field somewhere), this is an excellent place to be. It’s just a few miles from Ohiopyle State Park, so the location is perfect.
So why is this 5-​star worthy? Customer service, amenities, cleanliness, beauty, and general niceness. This place is a tight ship. They’ve got a gate with a code and strict parking rules and quiet hours. Normally, I’m not excited about such things, but if you want a nice little get-​away as a couple or as a family, it’s nice to know you’re not going to have a huge loud party, outside your tent wall. That said, if you’re looking to have a big old camp out field party, this is not the place.
The office is well-​stocked with anything you’d need: firewood, fire starters, snacks, Jiffy Pop (!), bug spray, sweatshirts, etc. And the staff is super friendly and clearly there to be of service to you.
I totally recommend this place and if the opportunity arises that I’ll be looking for a cabin in this neck of the woods again, I’ll absolutely go back.
