Homewood Suites by Hilton Fargo

Stayed here twice on a recent trip to North Dakota on the front and back end of my trip. Super close to the airport which is nice if you have a late flight in or early flight out. I think it is less than two miles which is awesome. Also seems very close to the University.
The property appears to be new, and there is an Buffalo Wild Wings and Applebee’s right next door which is super convenient if you are too lazy to find something that is not a chain.
So the property itself is very well kept up, the lobby is super clean and welcoming and nicely decorated. They do complimentary breakfast and happy hour here and I was very impressed with the breakfast, it is not a fully made to order breakfast mind you — but similar to Hampton where they have something for everyone and it can be a pretty hearty meal.
My room was on the first floor, a studio suite which was VERY large and comfortable. Loved how big the bathroom was, and it was very clean. I actually ended up in the same room when I came back to the hotel for the night prior to flying out the next morning. I think due to the location there is not a bad room in the place in terms of noise. My room (111) was right across from the soda/​ice machine and I never even heard it throughout the night — so the insulation here must be good.
If I ever come back to Fargo, I am staying here hands down.

We’re partial to Homewood Suites. This location in Fargo is great. You’re close to the airport, the FargoDome, NDSU, the Interstate, Buffalo Wild Wings (with rooftop seating) and more.
Our room was very clean, and the Saturday morning breakfast was truly one of the better hotel breakfasts we’ve had — cheesy hashbrown potatoes, mini donuts, etc. Both we and our children went away impressed.
The front desk staff were friendly and helpful. They weren’t very accommodating regarding a room change request, but the hotel did seem pretty full, so we understood.
The pool, as others have indicated, did seem pretty heavy on the chemicals.
The convenient location, clean hotel, and other amenities make this an excellent place to go whether you’re traveling for business or pleasure. We would stay here again!

This is my favorite hotel in all of Fargo. Clean rooms, comfortable beds, awesome staff and a good morning breakfast. Parking is well lit.
Walking distance to Applebee’s, Taco Bell, Buffalo Wild Wings, Subway, Burger King and across the street sits the Fargodome.

My typical hotel stays are one or two nights. We were here for 7 nights. It began to feel like home.
We liked:
The suite with king bed.
Having complimentary breakfast every day– and dinner during the week
The friendly staff
We didn’t like
The smell of their cleaning products
The pool, which felt like it was in a dark basement and smelled of really heavy chemicals. Husband said the hot tub was frothing.
Some of the food– the flavor was pretty standardly cardboard.
All in all we would stay here again if we need to spend another week in a hotel in Fargo.

The hotel was excellent. Stayed the night before an early morning flight out of Hector Airport. The complimentary shuttle did not run early enough for our 5 am flight so the hotel ordered us a complimentary taxi to take us to the airport at 4 am. Was very impressed with the customer service and quality of the room. Will definitely stay here again and recommend to others.

I wish I could give them a high rating… I really do… but this hotel needs some work to meet the standards.
I have been to other Homewood Suites before so I have the expectation that they did not meet… and they failed to recover from a big fail!
My experience was even written up in the Fargo Forum
They failed to keep their breakfast stocked. Granted I understand they were busy buy if you see there is a full hotel and you know there are a lot of kids in the hotel, plan to feed accordingly… I went down to get this free breakfast to find the hot buffets mainly empty with just scraps of food. I sat and waited for a refill and they refilled one that was emptied within 5 minutes, and then they refilled another buffet (they had like 6 in all).
Mind you if you are parking here and there is a event at the Fargodome, good luck. This hotels biggest opportunity is to give parking passes to the vehicles going to guests then tow the others. They could even make some money to non registered cars getting towed… (see article). After a long day at a funeral i just wanted to go to bed and sleep… yeah that wasn’t quite a option according to them because there was no parking (see editorial in fargo forum).

Probably the best extended stay hotel I’ve stayed in. Large rooms with nice bathroom areas and decent sized kitchen, especially for a hotel. Pool, spa, and fitness room. Close to the airport but quiet. By far THE BEST free breakfast that I’ve had at a hotel (really sorry to leave it behind. Left the Homewood Suites in Fargo for another one in Colorado Springs but the Homewoods there couldn’t hold a candle to the one in Fargo). High-​speed wired internet AND Wifi available in your room. If you miss dinner there is an Applebees and a Buffalo Wild Wings just across the parking lot as well as a Subway, Burger King, and CVS all within a 4 minute walk.

Very clean hotel — would have given 5 stars, but the cleaning people were still in my room when I arrived so I had to wait in the hallway.

One night stay here. Wish I could have stayed a bit longer.
I am a big fan of Homewood Suites and this one did not disappoint!
Check-​in was delightful– staff was very friendly and welcoming. One-​bedroom suite was clean. I did not have any complaints.
Dinner on the night I stayed was just coldcuts and sandwiches. Not an ideal meal, but it’s free. It’s about 10 minutes driving from a shopping mall, in walking distance from many restaurants, and about ¼ mile from the airport. Very convenient!
