I like their various products. Exotic, unique, cool,… All I want is always expensive somehow. But they often have sales. The staffs are really nice. There is a free parking lot in front of it.

They have many things to see and consider. I’ve never got tired here. Also the staffs are really nice. It seems to be fun for kids too! Price is not bad. Lots of clearance stuff too.

It’s really a hit or miss with this location. Sometimes I’m greeted by overly friendly personnel, more than willing to help with sorting through their selection. Other times, I feel very un-welcomed, as though my very presence is a nuisance in and of itself. Particularly, the manager is very unpleasant. She makes it seem as though you’ve made an unfathomable request, when it clearly isn’t anything out of the ordinary. I was extremely disappointed by her negative mannerisms on several occasions. However, this location is equipped with a wider selection compared to others around the area.

Great customer service! A bit pricey on the most simple items. Smells great!

Between the horrid store manager, «Mary» and her minion«Chris» I’m surprised this place has managed to stay in business. Both characters named above have zero customer service skill/knowledge. «Chris» chased us down after we’d been in the store maybe 15 seconds. Told him we just wanted to browse around and he would not go away. You can’t miss this guy. You’ll get dizzy looking at him as he swings his head nonstop while speaking. Completely condescending and unprofessional. He claims to be the store manager, but we later learned that this Mary person was the manager. Neither of them have any business being in management. You can’t lead by example when you don’t know what you’re doing.

I would give this store a 5 star rating but I can’t because of all things, the horrible store manager. She’s about 6 feet tall, large stature, with long hair and incredibly loud. You can’t miss her. In fact, I believe she is the same manager that reviewer Ryan references in June of 2012. This was my second unpleasant interaction with her over the course of a year but this one really stood out. I was being rung up by a very pleasant older lady who wanted to get my email and offer me a Pier 1 card. I was crisp in my «no, thanks» but not unpleasant. A minute or so later, the store manager says loudly in my direction«Is everything OK.» A customer walking up behind me believed that she was speaking to her responded«Yep, just ready to buy my items.» To which the store manager responded ever so loudly«oh, I wasn’t talking to you, I was speaking to this lady because she looked so irritated.» It was as though she was provoking a fight with me. While being rude to the innocent customer behind me at the same time. It was the most bizarre interaction I’ve ever been privy to and from of all people a store manager. I can’t imagine that I am the only person to have had run ins with this obnoxious woman. I hope Pier 1 is reading these reviews and has an action plan to move her to back of house or better yet, out the front door. This woman would make a perfect parole officer or prison guard — not a store manager at a fine store.

I visited the store with my fiancé to find a few pieces of furniture and decided to take a seat. While she was shopping, I took a seat and I overheard the store manager«Mary» speaking to some of the older ladies who worked there. Mary was incredibly unprofessional and disrespectful to the employees, enough so that I had to walk away so I didn’t say anything to her. It made me incredibly uncomfortable, to the point that I would rather shop elsewhere. If my mother worked there, Mary and I would have had some serious words about her professionalism and respect for people.

The stuff at pier 1 is honestly pricey for the quality and the merchandise you get. However they do have the best selection of cushions always! And if you look through you’ll find something everytime you go in! But the definite four stars for the management and the staff here! I always just go to this specific location. The one closer to tysons corner has the worst staff and even worse manager! So unhelpful and so uncooperative! So definitely go to this location instead.

Some interesting and quirky home stuffs that have to be picked through carefully, but they’ve got some cool stuff. A little pricey for what you get however, so join their mailing list and wait for the coupons. I just picked up a Papasan couch 20% and LOVE it.
