I just came from my third IPL/​RevLight treatment and have been loving the progress so far.
As an Asian woman, I suffered from typical hyper pigmentation, predominantly on my left cheek, and a few chickenpox scares. The damage was caused by years of sun exposure, so short of extreme burning or chemical peel, the progress has been amazing for only a few treatments.
The left side of the picture is before any treatments and the right side is right before my third treatment. Post-​3^rd treatment is not shown but even significantly lighter now.
My favorite part is that I can get a treatment and be perfectly fine to go to work the next day, with an added glow to my complexion. I’m looking forward to continuing my treatments with Dr. Sheikh.

She is my godsend! Tried ultherapy to lift one brow that had always been a bit lower, it always made my face seem lopsided, the ultherapy lifted my brow and now everything seems even!
Yay!!!

I went for the IPL treatment. It took about 5 minutes and $ 125. There was no improvement in decreasing the sun damage not then and not after few days from the treatment. Dr. Sheik said that I needed more treatments but I don’t trust going back as I did not see any improvement not so ever. I felt I flushed my money down the drain.

The IPL treatment did not work on my Asian skin but the doctor recommended Revlite so I will go back and give it a try and hope it works since she has good reviews on her treatments from other patients.

Dr. Sheikh Is a fantastic doctor. I went in for IPL for a sun burn mark on my forehead, and she was professional and helpful, and examined all areas before starting. Making an appointment was easy online, and the office managers (Susana and the lady from Saturday mornings) were both extremely kind and called me back immediately when I left a message. Dr. Sheikh is also very gentle and lets you know what she is doing and when to expect the laser, which I also appreciate! This is the second time I have been to their very clean, modern office, (there is a parking lot, so you don’t have to find street parking), and I would highly recommend to all my friends. Thanks!

Dr. Sheik is very upfront in regards to the procedures and results they can achieve.
She is very thorough and will answer all your questions. Most importantly, you achieve positive results. Pictures are taken before procedure and after. When you come back for a follow up or second procedure you will review the pictures and see the results.

Very pleasant place and the Doc worked fast… Not to mention a script was given to me for my conjunctivitis, which was completely unrelated to the visit

I won’t go anywhere else!!! Dr Sheikh is so kind and always provides great advice and treatments. My skin looks amazing after two IPLs and RevLite. One major plus about this clinic is they don’t try to push treatments or products on the customer. The staff are a joy to talk to and try their best to get you in Dr Sheikh’s busy busy schedule.

I was introduced to this place via Groupon and initially I had a good experience. Dr. Sheikh took her time with me and even though the IPL I underwent didn’t really do much for me, I kept going back since you need more treatments to get results. However, at my last visit, she recommended RevLite which is significantly more expensive than IPL. I asked her to honor the price I had for the IPL and she agreed. However, the «Office Manager» came back and said they couldn’t match the price. To make a long story short, just be careful of this place. The Dr agreed to the price so I went ahead with the treatment. Then the «Office Manager» said she couldn’t honor that price. Not really sure who’s the boss in this place. Just be careful as they seem to upcharge without your knowledge. I’ve stopped going to this place.

Dr Sheikh is concerned with giving the best treatment as comfortably as possible. I’ve been here twice for IPL and botox and am very pleased.
It was really difficult to get through to make an appointment the first time but now the office seems to be more efficient, and welcoming.

I bought a groupon for 2 IPL facials. Dr. Sheikh examined me and recommended the RevLite. You will absolutely see results within 1 session. I personally need a couple of treatments because my acne is so bad, but you will leave feeling nothing but satisfied and money well spent.
Be mindful if you want more appointments– The office is only open 3 days a week and since she is so amazing she is usually fully booked so get on wait list and call back frequently to check for cancellations.

I bought a groupon for 2 IPL facials. Dr. Sheikh examined me and recommended the RevLite for both sun damage and hormonal Melasma since it was more effective than IPL (plus I am Asian and RevLite is known to be better for Asian skin) but she didn’t charge me more since the price was more. I then asked her opinion about my previous botox by another doctor and she made a few VERY reasonable recommendations and did the work. She was frank on what I needed and did not push on things that I didn’t need. I am very very very happy with what was done. I loved her honesty and I love the admin manager who was amazing. Will definitely return.

Poor scheduling and bookkeeping.

I have seen Dr. shiekh for about a year now, she is great with her patients, she takes her time to explain and make you feel comfortable and safe. I have seen many skin doctors for several years but, she is my favorite so far.

I purchased the laser facial treatment from Groupon for my melasma and some freckles on the face. I fretted and fretted because the more I read the more I became concerned that the IPL might not be the best treatment. When I arrived at the office I was greeted warmly and offered a cold drink from the fridge.
The doctor is so warm and soothing and when she said she didn’t recommend the laser treatment that I purchased for melasma but told me about the RevLite procedure I said let’s go ahead with it. When I came out of the office my husband told me I looked younger! My melasma has significantly lightened but those pesky freckles are almost gone (I have one stubborn one that is lightening but still present).
Everyone that has seen me remarks on how much younger and more rested I look. I could not be happier! I am being diligent about my sunscreen but I’m sure I will be going back in the fall for a follow-​up.

My husband bought me this Groupon back in January… I called immediately and made two appointments, the first one the receptionist screwed up, she told me March 6 and it was for February 6, after I got the No-​Show noticed I called her up and they fit me in for March 12 at 9:30. I get to the office at 9:15…waiting…calling…waiting… calling from the HALLWAY. No one is even in the office.
Finally someone shows up at 9:38… no apologies… nothing… the doctor is not there yet. I leave. I get to my car and have just left the parking lot and they call saying the doctor is there and if I wanted to come back. That’s when I get an apology, probably because the doctor was listening to her. If the receptionist had said that from the beginning, I would have stayed. There is no way I am going let someone put lasers on my face that is so unprofessional. Standing in a sketchy hallway waiting for them to get there. Unacceptable. My time is just as valuable.
Maybe Dr. Sheik should worry about her receptionist a little more.
It’s too bad because I had been waiting almost 2 MONTHS for this treatment and was really excited.
I immediately called Groupon when I got back to my office, and they could not have been more understanding and efficient. My husband immediately got his money refunded. no hassle.

I bought a 2 full face sessions from groupon and on my first visit, she went over on my freckles under eyes with a pencil-​like laser machine and said that she would go over them again on the next visit to make sure they were lighter and stuff. I was very looking forward to it because my freckles seemed got a bit lighter so I thought if she would do them again, I would see a great result. But on my second visit, she didn’t do anything on my freckles under eyes and I had to ask her about what she said last time when she turned the machine off.
then she was like «they are looking pretty good.»… but you still have to do them again right? I had to ask her again to go over on them then instead of turning the machine back on and treating them, she opened her drawer, pulling out an old, dirty looking bottle, trying to put it on my face with a q-​tip! I got scared because the bottle just didnt seem right to put on face whatever it was inside!
when I said i didn’t want it on my face, she hurried me out and I just felt like I got kicked out of the office haha. what upsets me most is that she didnt listen what i had to say. if she had just explained me why it wasn’t necessary i wouldve happily left without getting them done but now i just can’t help feeling mistreated.
I referred at least 5 of my friends and they all bought the groupon because it seemed such a good deal, but now it is just a waste of money.

I purchased the IPL Facial Groupon and I am so glad I did. When Dr. Sheikh came into the procedure room I was a bit nervous but she immediately made me feel at ease. She took the time to thoroughly examine my skin, and then explained exactly what to expect with the procedure and outcome. She uses state of the art laser equipment and the entire procedure was painless. My skin looks amazing just after one day and the entire procedure was painless!
Dr. Sheikh is very professional and compassionate about her profession and is an excellent and empathetic comunicator. I will be returning to see Dr. Sheikh, even without a Groupon. For those of you who complained about the wait — The reason is because Dr. Shikh takes time with her patients and gives them her undivided attention.
Dr. Shikh has earned her wonderful reputation by running a professional practice — THIS IS NOT A PATIENT MILL.
The Falls Church City office is open on Tuesdays and Thursdays from 9:30am — 5pm and every other Saturday from 9:30am-4pm. If you are flexible, you can call during office hours and ask if there are any cancellations. The office is right across from Falls Church City Hall, parking is very easy. I arrived 15 minutes early, the receptionist greeted me immediately, asked me to fill out a form with basic contact information, and offered water. End-​to-​end, the entire process was very patient focused and positive — SHE IS WORTH THE WAIT!

2 Full Face sessions ($ 159 with a Groupon) and I’m pleased with the results. Dr. Sheikh was able to fade a lot of my freckles and remove some completely.
On my second appointment she even removed a skin tag on my back for $ 20.
My only complaint is the office dynamics. For both appointments I was present 15 minutes prior to my appointment, but both times I was forced to wait (the first for 25 min, the second for 45min) with no apology, water, or concession. There was also another women in the waiting room who had been waiting and was growing impatient because she had to pick up her kids at daycare.
When I arrived for my second appointment the receptionist had thought I had cancelled, and said «we need to get your contact information» then said «oops, never mind, its on the form you filled out last time.»
So you couldn’t call me to tell me you were running behind???

I just got online deal, and had IPL done. Dr. explained to me what to expect, etc step by step. It was not easy to set up appointment due to her popularity (my next appointment is 6 weeks from my first day! There is no opening slot). As other reviews, she does not press to sell other services, it actually made me want to know other services! I have done Botox at other office in D.C. before I discover Dr. Sheikh, but I did not have good experience because of too much of ‘hard sell’.
I recommend Dr. Sheikh to everybody. She is honest, willing to help you. It is worth to travel to her office.
