LIN is worth my drive every time! She is outstanding with color (I like my highlights to look more «natural») and I always let her cut my hair the way she wants and love it every time! She is very easy to work with whether you know exactly what you want or need suggestions.

Made an appointment for my mom. She was very pleased with her color and haircut. She is certainly returning back!.

Definitely get a booking with Lin, I felt so beautiful after she did my hair. I got full caramel highlights on my long hair and Lin made sure to match what I had in mind. The whole experience was phenomenal from the moment I walked into the salon to washing my hair to getting my hair highlighted, cut, and styled.

It’s always a little intimidating to try out a new salon, but my experience with Nash Hair Design was absolutely wonderful thanks to Lin. She stayed late to slot me in and did an amazing job with my hair — a subtle a-​line bob just as I had envisioned. And if that weren’t enough, Lin’s company far surpassed the haircut. This was possibly one of the best experiences I’ve ever had at a hair salon. I will definitely be returning to Lin at Nash Hair Design!

I’ve had bad experiences in the past and was really hesitant on changing stylists, however; I got extremely lucky this time. Ask for LIN. She is precise and asks for feedback throughout the process which I really appreciate. Really the best haircut I’ve gotten in a long time! People rave about Lin all the time and she most definitely lives up to the hype.

I rarely write reviews but I am writing this one because I had such a problem finding a great stylist when I came to the DC/​northern VA area and I want to help others in the same situation. Lin is one of those rare finds: a combination of an excellent technician and a real artist. She is an expert with her processes and techniques and uses them with the flair and subtleness of an artist. I am very particular and she makes my hair look exactly as I request — blending highlights with my natural colors and enhancing enhancing them. Her styling/​cutting and blow drying techniques are highly professional and I recommend her for all of your color, cutting, and blow drying needs. She has taken excellent care of my difficult hair for years now!
I highly recommend her for any of your hair needs.

an all over color, partial balayage, and a trim to my layers last week and I couldn’t have left the salon any happier!

I have thick and unruly hair but Lin managed to help tame it and give me an extremely flattering cut and color. I am so excited to finally have found my stylist. She is so patient and understanding! The salon itself is beautiful and I felt very comfortable here. I will definitely come back again. My color is so beautiful and my hair is not damaged in the slightest!

I’ve been coming to Nash Hair Design since I was in middle school! All the stylists are fabulous and everyone is wonderfully friendly.
I’ve since moved to New York City, but I still won’t let anyone but Vivianna cut and highlight my hair. I come back every few months to have Vivianna do my hair when I’m home visiting family. Most people don’t even know that I get my hair colored — that’s how good they are!

I’ve lived in the area for 20+ years and I’ve finally found my hair place. I got my hair done by the wonderful Zeny and I’ve never been so happy with my haircut and especially the COLOR. I wanted balayage and I’ve never quite gotten the color I wanted at other salons. She really figured out what I wanted and was able to execute it perfectly. Zeny was warm and welcoming and I really enjoyed my time at the salon. I look forward to going back in the fall!

I visited Nash for the first time last week. I was able to make a last minute appointment with Zeny. She cut and styled my hair and my toddler daughter’s. Our hair is perfect! It had been way too long since I had been in and my hair was a disaster. Now my side-​swiped bangs and layers look fabulous. My daughter’s curly Qs fall nice and even.
The salon is simple and chill and the staff are kind and helpful. Zeny also gave me general product recommendations when I asked but without being pushy in any way. I am definitely planning to be a recurring customer.

After moving from Philadelphia to Arlington, I was bewildered and distraught about finding a new hair stylist (the struggle of moving, ugh!!!). I read the many positive Unilocal reviews for Nash Hair Design and decided to give them a try. So glad I did! My appointment was with Zeny and she was wonderful. She was ready the second I walked in the door, super friendly, and a good listener. She listened to my hair cut idea and made it way better, she took my overgrown shoulder-​length hair and chopped it into a perfectly layered and well-​shaped bob. I’ve received tons of compliments and I am SO relieved to have found a stylist that I will definitely come back to! Great experience overall, and well worth the reasonable price.

I recently had the pleasure of finding Nash Hair Design — right around the corner from my house this whole time! I was desperate and needed an emergency color fix — I had gone to a cheap place to have my hair colored, it had come out completely too dark and uneven and in desperation, I used ‘Color Oops’ on it myself. The state of my hair was terrible — red on top, dark on the ends and dry as a bone.
Nash was completely calm and not judge-​y about my mis-​steps at all (as some colorists can be!) and set to work fixing me up. He did the exact color I was looking for in the first place and then recommended highlights to soften it. He did a deep conditioning step to keep my hair from being too damaged. His confidence was reassuring and the salon itself was so relaxing and friendly. His assistant was wonderful too!
The resulting color is better than I could imagine — I love it! I plan to go back for a haircut too!

This is my second time going to Nash. I was looking for a salon that had a nice atmosphere, an acceptable price, and temporary color. The first time on 4 October was nice so I called and got an appointment on 30 December for a cut and color. I was not happy that an assistant instead of the hairdresser mixed my color but I was assured that the same formula was used. Something was different — not the color but the strength. My skin and scalp is having a reaction — a very bad one. I knew I should have walked out. I should have listened to that inner voice when I saw the coffee machine next to where she was mixing chemicals in the back and I decided not to ask for a cup of coffee (it was not offered) or when I was left me under the dryer at a very high temperature.
I am so disappointed and will return on Saturday to discuss.

I’m not one to usually write reviews about businesses — however, my experience today was SO great and I’m SO happy with the results that I just had to write one!
One of my bosses recommended Nash Hair Design (and Mikaela specifically) for her hair coloring expertise. I have naturally dark hair and have had a very hard time finding a hair stylist who truly understands my hair color and how to work with it. In the past, I have gone in to other salons for highlights, ombré, etc. and always ended up something that I haven’t been happy with. Mikaela took the time to listen to what I wanted, recommended what she thought would work best, and then worked with me to figure out what would be the best option for the my hair. The outcome was the best color that I’ve ever had! I’m more than happy with the end result and I can’t wait to come to her in the future to see what else she can do with my hair!
I’m so happy I discovered this place and will definitely be recommending it to all my friends!

Super excited to find Mikaela. On my first appointment, I felt confident to let her whack 6 inches off and give me a really fun, short cut. Making my second appointment this week to get color and a shape up.

Love this place — I have had a hard time finding a NOVA hair salon where
a) the hair stylist listens to me and offers suggestions based on his/​her knowledge of what we’ve done in the past, my personality and profession
b) getting there isn’t awful, and by this I mean parking (validations or huge parking garages) as well as scheduling nightmares
c) It doesn’t cost an arm and a leg (I’m looking at you, French hair salons in the Tysons Corner area)
This one is my go-​to hair salon and has been for over a year now after about 6 years of changing salons every 4 – 6 months. I love working with Mikayla, she is a great colorist (natural highlights every time) as well as a hair cut expert. I love my new longer in front, shorter in back long bob. She listens and provides suggestions, but isn’t pushy!
