Business Owner

Michael E. Grosso DDS graduated with a Bachelor of Science in Biology from Virginia Polytechnic Institute and State University in 1993. Dr Michael then went on to the Medical College of Virginia School of Dentistry where he received a Doctorate of Dental Surgery in 2003. Dr Michael also serves as a part-​time professor at MCV School of Dentistry.

I am not a patient yet of Dr. Grosso but had a great experience with him as I was frantically searching for a dentist last night at 6:15 pm for my son who had taken a bad tumble at school. One of his teeth was knocked back, gum area was bleeding and some bad cuts on his lips due to his fall. Anyways, after trying unsuccessfully at other places in the area and calling, I was able to get through to Dr. Grosso. He was on his way to a holiday party but offered to turn around for us given the situation. He even gave me excellent advice on pushing my son’s tooth to try to straighten it which will hopefully save his tooth from extraction. He gave solid advice and as I am in the process of looking for a regular dentist, may wind up seeing him myself.

I can’t say enough good things about Dr Michael. I think he & his entire office staff are the best. We have been going to the Grossos for 20 years.
The office philosophy is to provide honest, customer-​oriented, conservative and high quality dental care.
Dr Michael is there when you need him. When my husband had a dental problem on a Sunday morning when we were in San Fransisco, Dr Michael answered on the second or third ring, gave my husband a prescription which we got filled a block away & arranged to see him as soon as we got back to DC.

Dr. Grosso is excellent in all respects – professional, knowledgeable and friendly. He is proactive in his patient care. Once when I had a malady and was referred to him for a diagnosis he was assertive in communicating with 3 other physicians who were not communicating with one another and, thanks to him, I finally got a test I needed to diagnose the problem at the time even though the problem turned out not to be in his realm. He was concerned enough to have me subsequently call him to let him know how I was doing. I have never forgotten that. He is a unique gem in the medical arena that is often rushed and impersonal. He stands out and makes a profound difference for his patients. He is truly the best!

Dr. Grosso is not only an Awesome Dentist, but a caring, compassionate person. I had an Implant that broke off and he came in on a Sunday to help me! He has been my Dentist now for 5 years and I won’t go to anyone else! Little known fact about Dr. Grosso, he spends some of his «Vacation» time to treat people free of charge in many places!

Surprised no one has already written a review for this dentist. The office and staff are so friendly and helpful it really helps ease the anxiety of going to the dentist. Dr. Grosso is very gentle and doesn’t do work that is unnecessary, which for someone with out insurance is MUCH appreciated. Overall I will be bringing the rest of my family to this practice and I highly recommend him to anyone in the area.
