Jam Class: Music and Guitar Lessons

OK, so if you want to learn to play guitar, Dan Cohn is your man. I am 59, consider learning to play a serious piece of unfinished business in my life, and I was looking to find an instructor willing to take me on. Dan has worked with me through thick and thin, difficult work schedules, my own challenges because of my age and commitments, and I am reconnecting with music in a way that is very personally rewarding. This guy cares. He wants you to be better, and he has an approach to music that is holistic and serious, while maintaining a sense of humor and willingness to explore a variety of genres. He makes it fun, while holding your feet to the fire on practice time. He makes my life better every week by bringing music back into my life and helping me progress a little further with each lesson. I highly recommend him if you are a total beginner, or an axe master wanting to hone your technique. And his Jam Class approach is highly motivational. This is the way to learn guitar and the guy to do it.

After two years of lessons with Dan, I have found him to be great at directing my lessons toward the type of music that I want to learn. I know that any time I come across a new difficulty or challenge with my guitar playing, he will find a way to help me work through that challenge in a way that I am comfortable with. His humor also makes lessons fun and relaxing. For students who are interested in playing with other students in a band environment, Dan offers Jam Class. This is a great way to meet other musicians and practice being a rock star.
