I was very disappointed that this office was unable to give me a reasonable estimate of the cost for preparing my taxes at the time of service. Instead, at the end of my appointment, the bill they gave me was almost three times the cost to have them done last year for the same return. Although I found the staff very knowledgeable and professional, the manager was unable to offer a reasonable solution to the discrepancy in price. Rather than paying the exorbitant price, I chose to go to another tax preparer in the area for half the cost although it was very inconvenient having to schedule and go through another appointment, who wants to do their taxes twice in the same week, right? It is unfortunate that H&R Block would rather lose a customer instead of charging reasonable fees for the work they are doing.
