I’ve been looking for a particular car all around town found what I was looking for on the website for Fallbrook motors drove all the way to their business from Ramona only to find out that the vehicle that is being advertised online is a completely different vehicle on their lot. Yes its the same make and model but it’s a different color different license plates and the whole spiel so makes you wonder if you want to do business for the place that does some false advertising

So as usual I check reviews before I go to a place where I might be placing a big purchase. The reviews say it all, these guys are great and just cool people. Easily can become your friend if you live in the area.
We bought a 2011 Jeep Wrangler with monster tires and were happy about our purchase. They were pretty honest about the selling price — KBB priced it as a trade in around $ 19k-​20k and they were selling for almost $ 21k so they weren’t making a score on their vehicles, just being honest and keeping the business a float, unlike major dealerships that are making $ 5k off you and say they have no room to budge.
Our trade in was priced about the max value considering it has some outside damage and wear and tear. Also they found us a great APR and extended warranty!
Overall this is a mom and pop shop type of place, which makes it that much better because you feel more at home when dealing with them. Tim and Rosie both are just good people who want to help and are not in it to make a ton of money off you, just trying to make a living. I will likely buy from these guys again and make the 2 ½ hr drive to do it! Thanks Tim and Rosie.

We bought our used Lexus here and it was so easy. Much better than a full dealership. When you drive around our town, you will notice that many license plate frames have, «Fallbrook Motors» on them. When you live in a small town, you have to do good business or you don’t survive. Tim and Rosie put out a great used product. We send our friends and family there and have never heard anything negative from them. Much Much better than your traditonal used car lot!

Rosie and Tim are the ONLY people I will ever go to again when I buy a used car. My family was looking at buying a truck but after talking with both Rosie and Tim at length they steered us towards a Toyota 4Runner which is EXACTLY what we needed; there’s more «car» (essential for a family of 5 with friends galore) while still having the off road– truck like feel.
I speak on behalf of the entire Murray family when I say this is the PLACE TO GO for a used car. Tim shared with us the business’ history (fascinating) while still helping us to find what our family really needed; they didn’t try to oversell us and really made the experience hassle free and positive.

I bought a used car back in high school and it finally plunked out on me! I got in touch with different people to look for a newer car. I even went to a dealership after I narrowed it down to the car that I really wanted.
I told Tim and Rose what it was I wanted and within a week they had everything I asked for! Color, miles, and even a year NEWER than I was expecting; all within my price range.
From now on, they will be the people that I choose to purchase from. They are honest, dependable, trustworthy, and most of all, they listened to me! (They did not pressure me into anything that I didn’t want — I experienced this at the dealership)
They also have a fabulous mechanic whom I will be taking my car to from here on out.
Fallbrook is lucky to have these guys in town! A++++

Shady!!! The plates on our truck were stolen!!! My husband got pulled over by gum point!!! Both my parents work at car dealerships & they’re never hear of the excuse Fallbrook motors gave us. Shady shady shady!!!

Tim and Rosie really help my family out! My car had over $ 4000 in damage unexpectedly after a trip from Big Bear, not something we wanted to invest in since the car had been an issue from the start. (Nissan Xterra over heat issue, be careful!) My dad took us over to him since he’s boughten two cars from Tim previously. One was a Toyota T100 back in 2005, I believe, that I ended buying off my dad and is still running! Well they helped us entertain the kid and the dog, mind you we never made it home, and were really helpful crunching numbers and trying to work something out for us. The dealership doesn’t look or feel like a typical one. It was homie not like the big dealerships that isolate you in a room while they are in the hall trying to make a deal off of you. It’s very clean and so we’re all the cars. We will always appreciate them and what we did. It was such a stressful day and they helped us relax and get a really great Honda Civic (which I never thought I would get) that I love so much! Thank you Tim and Rosie we will definitely be back!

I owe this review, and have for a too long a time.
Fallbrook Motes helped me out of a bad situation.
The bank, via an undertrained assistant manager, noted my claimed family income, did not note when I said that my wife made most of it, and did not note that her debts vastly outweighed mine. So he took my debts and our family income and approved me for a car loan, anything up to 35K.
So I went shopping. I found a good bargain at Fallbrook. It was more than an hours drive, but looked good. I was impressed about how the internet reviews showed Fallbrook handled some bad situations, and happy that they left those comments stand.
When I got there they let me inspect the car as much as I wanted to, they let me test drive it. I found an odd noise. The mechanic took it out and test drove it. He was delightfully aggressive in testing it, and we could hear a strange noise when braking.
FM was firm on the price. No bargaining, but no feeling that I had been outbargained by a pro either. I transferred the insurance (and be prepared to do this), and drove it home.
And the bank declined the loan.
While in Chino I had my mechanic look it over. I found trivia like the license plate light being dead, and other potential problems. The more serious the problem, the more unlikely it was to happen. And the noise was because the machining of the break rotors had ridges in it.
And FM was again firm on the price, my mechanic’s notes ignored. But they found another bank, and got me the loan (at a higher rate, but by then any loan was a good loan).
So I now have the car and am happy with it, all thanks to them.

This is the place to go if you are looking for a used car or truck.
I recently purchased a 2001 Tacoma 4wd crew cab there. The truck was in great condition, exactly as advertised, Rosie and Tim were both a pleasure to work with.
Almost feel guilty for all the times I have said «Used Car Salesman» in a derogatory manner ;-)

Bought a nice 2001 Lincoln Navigator that was advertised on AutoTrader. It is great that they offer a FREE viewing of the CARFAX on their website and this is what led me to end up buying this SUV from them. It was priced at the normal NADA price of which I had no problem with as the Navigator was in near new condition inside and out. Had just a couple of minor issues that were quickly corrected by owner Tim. Contract was written up quickly and efficiently. Nice people, easy purchase, love the SUV!
Feel comfortable in recommending this place to anyone based on my experience/​purchase.

We saw a car on Autotrader that was (or seemed to be) just what we were looking for. So we made the 1.5 hour journey to Fallbrook to see it. That is, after we talked to Rosie about its condition and were assured that it was what it seemed to be… in good shape. That façade shattered quickly upon our arrival.
Rosie was pleasant and pretty much knew nothing about the vehicle. Tim swooped in a few minutes later. Once we started asking basic questions about some indications that the car had been in at least one accident (despite their assurances that it hadn’t) Tim became very defensive. Rather than just being straight forward and giving us the scoop about what kind of repairs he had made, he started telling us that he had to make a profit, and basically we could just leave if we wanted to put him through the ringer. Um… really? Who’s giving money to who here?
And who’s safety depends on the condition of the vehicle? We weren’t asking for any favors, just some good olé fashioned candor. No dice. I’d take a long hard look at some of the 5 star reviews on here. They are not representative of what we experienced at ALL. If you know anything about cars, or bring someone who knows about them, you may be treated with hostility and shown the door like I was. You, my friend, are not their target audience.
I’m sure they have some cars that are great, and maybe you’ll be one of the lucky ones who rolls the dice and wins. But Fallbrook is the avocado capital of the world, not Vegas. And Fallbrook deals in rotten fruit. I’m not in the position to play Russian roulette with my safety or wallet by purchasing a vehicle from Fallbrook Motors. Next please! There are lots of shady used car dealers, but few who are as transparently sleazy as these guys.

I have been doing business with Tim and Rosie at Fallbrook Motors for 13 years and will continue to do so for as long as I can drive. My husband and I just returned recently to buy a used truck, and got a very competitive price and are super happy with our purchase. I research in advance what a vehicle I seek is worth and Tim and Rosie are always right on the money with my expectations, and I end up getting more than my money’s worth out of each purchase. I’m reading previous reviews on here and know that they must be written by dealership competitors because Tim and Rosie have impeccable integrity and compassion. In this small town you have to be honest to stay in business or everyone would know it — and every time I have been in their dealership I am not the only happy repeat client there. I have enthusiastically recommended Fallbrook Motors to family and friends without hesitation, and plan to continue, as I am positive many of my Fallbrookian neighbors will do.

Tim and Rosie at Fallbrook Motors run a fantastic business with great knowledge of the industry combined with friendly service and fair prices on their autos. One thing that many might want to know is that they don’t mess around with lemons. They keep a full lot of quality autos and are very thorough from the time you meet and greet, browse cars, to the time you sign the title and take the keys. If you’re in the market for a used car, Fallbrook Motors is where you need to stop first!

So far so good! I bought a car from them, Mercedez SUV. Great little vehicle. It broke down the next day and they made sure it got fixed. Just a sensor, but caused my life to get tilted for a minute. Tim was a hard negotiator. He knows what he wants to get for a vehicle and gets it. Rosie is sweet as can be. They are honest and try to do good business. But, a used car is just that… used. They come with problems and previous owners who might not have taken care of the vehicle.

You know at first I really appreciated this dealer. Family owned and they seemed very honest. I traded for a Toyota Yaris and all seemed good until I went to sell that Yaris and found out that it had been in an accident. I had distinctly asked about any accidents and they told me it had not been in any accidents. OK, I should have ran my own Car Fax but I thought I could trust them. They’re prices are WAY too high and you cannot trust them.

Bought more then 5 vehicles from them… never a problem. Easy to talk to, they will find what you want even if they don’t have it in stock. Quality vehicles at a good price.
Car buying made simple!

Awful.
I bought a car there, only to have to pay nearly $ 1,000 three months later for things that should have been done before I bought it: transmission job, water pump, tuneup, serpentine belt, impact sensor, etc. Yesterday the seat belt FELL OFF. What’s next?
When I called them to ask if there’s anything they can do, the guy was smug. He told me I didn’t know what I was talking about because I didn’t «sound mechanically inclined», then suggested that the lack of parking in my area would have something to do with all the car’s issues. He also admitted that the car had been in an accident, and that it was bought at auction, two things that weren’t disclosed when the car was purchased.
