All Star Heating & Air Conditioning

Called twice for a quote on fixing the AC. They did the service before we closed so they know what is broken. Both times I was told service department would get back to me and 3 weeks after the first call no answer, 2 weeks after the second call still no answer. Person answering the call was rude, impatient, and was yelled at by another employee (while I was on the phone and could hear) NOT to read the description of the problem on the phone. Apparently I am not allowed to know what is wrong with my AC. Will never call this company again.

We decided to have air conditioning installed in our home. We called 3 different places and chose All Star based on: prompt response and follow up, professional staff, competitive pricing, problem solved an issue we had and all around top notch service. Matthew has been our point guard and has seen us through all the options and issues. I feel confident that when and if issues come up in the future that they will deliver the same satisfaction. Definitely would recommend them and look forward to cooler days when the heat ramps up.

All star is not honest on the pricing. Do you research otherwise they will fool you. I called them for a quote on installing heat pump as recommended for one of my friend. One technician came on Saturday as scheduled. Everything looks good until he gave me the quote at the end. He said he started doing this since 1990’s and had a lot of expeirence. But he quoted me a 3TON unit which simply is too small for my house about 2800 sqft. Just googling on this, you will immediately know it requires at least 4TON unit. Then, he also said my quote will be cheaper than my friend’s quote because my house is smaller. But actually my friend got a lower quote with a 5TON unit. So I emailed him and asked why my quote is not cheaper as he said. Now the technician started lying. He said that the installation is more difficult in my house as the structure is different and therefore it costs more labor. But when I compared my quote with my friend’s, mine is a level 1 installation which is actually easier than my friend’s who is level 2 installation. Maybe they are good at doing the service, but I am not comfortable to deal with dishonest people specially on the area I don’t know much about.

I had a horrible experience with all star. We used them to service our furnace and clean the ducts. It only took them a few hours to clean the ducts on a large home, and they weren’t cleaned well. I questioned them about it at the time and they assured me it was fine. Here I am just a few months later watching dust balls come out of my vents. We had other furnace issues and their communication and customer service was non existent. We are now looking to install an AC unit in our home and I’m happy to say I will find another company recommended by my fellow Unilocalers.

We called at 8 am asking for an ASAP service call and got the 10 am appointment. Dave showed up on time, well prepared and greeted us with a friendly smile. He was thorough, knowledgeable and patiently explained to us what needed to be done with our HVAC. Our fireplace was not working property and we couldn’t get any fireplace man to help us. Dave took a look, knew exactly what to do and fixed it. We sighed a one-​year contract with him on the spot. Highly recommended All Star.

Scheduled my day around their four hour window for my appointment. I hear at the end of the four hours that they cannot make it that day. The phone operator was very rude, no apology and offered no alternative to get my furnace serviced and repaired. If you like to have your time wasted and rudeness, give them a call!!!

Our air conditioning unit died during all of this heat. Based on the great reviews; I called All Star on Saturday ⁶⁄₂₇ and made an appointment with Serghei for Sunday ⁶⁄₂₈ morning. Serghei fixed our unit in an hour, was super pleasant and speedy. Great experience. I plan to use All Star for my maintenance going forward. Highly recommend All Star, particularly Serghei!

We’ve been using All Star Heating and Air Conditioning for years. Consistently excellent service. Serghei was our service technician for our annual maintenance call on our heat pump this year. Very efficient, pleasant, and knowledgeable.
Frankly our Trane heat pump and associated thermostat have given us repeated problems over the years but All Star has stepped up to the plate each time to resolve the problems.

mediocre, took another company to come out and figure out a previous fix had been done poorly and the entire system was wired so that it wouldn’t be inefficient. I wish I’d known better

The bathroom and bedroom power went off right after the AC was installed by All Star. Called the electrician who refused to come out to resolve it. End up I called All Star 24 Hour Emergency Service. Within minutes the electrician Serghei responded and came to my house right away. It was a circuit break that jumped. Easy fix. Relieved and learned something about the circuit board. Serghei was very pleasant, and patient. Deserved the 5 stars.
The electrician that All Star hired should be given a thumbs down. He said he’s having his long weekend with friends and family. He refused to take responsibility. Who would have jumped the circuit board if not him who installed two more circuit breaks there. He could at least made an effort to try to help like having me take a pic of the circuit board could tell which one has jumped. Very disappointed.

All Star installed a new high efficiency Trane furnace for us and they are great. A real pleasure to work with very high integrity. (They kept every promise they made and then some). As with many major repairs or upgrades to ones home there are often a few glitches or follow-​up items, but the entire team at All Star took care of every glitch, every question (even my stupid ones) very quickly, efficiently and graciously.
From the start, Matthew who provided the estimate spent a lot of time with me listening to my needs and how I would like to improve the evenness of the heat in the house. He provided 3 very detailed proposals & gave them to me the same day. I really felt he was honestly aiming to offer us the «right-​sized» & best solution for our needs-​not the highest price. Great follow-​up from him even after the installation.
The installation team was very nice & respectful of the work space and were meticulous in their clean up (a pet peeve I had shared in advance).
The Service Manager and office staff are exceptional! Honestly, I cannot say how pleased we are. We will be using them again.
In fact, I have been looking for someone to replace the company who services our gas fireplaces and HOORAY, AllStar offers this service too — so we are switching. They are absolutely our go-​to company for all things HVAC related.
BTW: The new furnace is fabulous.

David did an awesome job repairing our furnace. He was efficient and provided great customer service! He also arrived at the start of the time slot, which was a plus because I had a very busy day ahead of me. I would definitely recommend this company to my friends and family.

Super inpatient phone operator, not willing to listen to what customer has to say. And keeps on repeating «we don’t service xxx». I’m turn away by the unfriendliness.

Robert called me back on a Saturday after leaving a message with his answering service. I told him about the issues with my furnace that I was having for the past several weeks of it being temperamental– not working all the time. I told everything I’ve tried doing to troubleshoot the problem. he spent atleast 15 – 20 minutes on the phone with me talking different points– going through different components of my system which is foreign to me. He gave me a few pointers on something else i can try doing, where to look and be careful since i was comfortable enough to try them.

Long story short– i’m really happy with the customer service that was provided. I feel he went above what most may do. others did simply try to schedule the appointment first but I felt no pressure when speaking with Robert– honest and upfront– told me the high costs (worse case) and low costs (best case) of what could be wrong if the pointers he gave didn’t work.
I will certainly recommend and use him for any future issues with my furnace.

I’ve used All Star for years and they have never failed me. This time when the installers arrived, they discovered the furnace I wanted didn’t fit in the space. They were able to get the correct size furnace and install it all within the time frame scheduled. Thank you All Star for another terrific encounter.

My heat pump wasn’t coming on and my house was sweltering. Called All-​Star July 2 at 4PM; they were able to get Robert out by noon on July 3. A tech myself, I appreciated his excellent troubleshooting methodology. In short order, he had it isolated to a pinched condensation tube, probably due to my yard guy inadvertently moving the unit. Robert came up with a creative solution to prevent the tube from getting pinched again. Robert and Lonnie have both gone above-​and-​beyond with a rodent-​caused duct problem a year ago as well. My highest recommendations!

All Star Heating & AC came out today to do a regular service on our furnace and heat pump and to check out the weird noises that we started hearing from our heat pump. Robert F was the tech that came out to take care of us! All checked out ok and I got a nice explanation of the causes of the noises we were hearing — long story short, it was normal and due to the mechanics of our new thermostat we had installed within the last year that is why we started hearing it. We have other HVAC services come out and were not complete satisfied. All Star is a keeper!!!

Robert F came out late on a Sunday to check our malfunctioning heating system. Even though it wasn’t a system he had dealt with before, he was able to quickly trouble-​shoot and fix the problem. In less than an hour, we went from a cold house to a toasty warm one! Robert was extremely friendly, courteous, and careful. We would defiantly recommend Robert and All-​Star!

I just moved into a new house and one of the first orders of business was to get a heat pump put in with an air filtration system. Our climate makes a heat pump worth the money and I hate it when my house gets too hot to sleep, even if it doesn’t happen all that frequently. I talked to some friends who recommended All-​Star and I did some additional research by looking up their profile on the Better Business Bureau website. Between what friends said and their A+ BBB rating, I was ready to do business.
A sales rep came to the new house and after inspecting it, sat down with me to go over my options. He was detailed in pointing out the pros and cons of each system type, but never did I feel pressured to buy only the best and most expensive. Noise level was high on my list so I decided on a quieter unit that was middle of the road in terms of cost. I found that the quote for the air-​filtration unit was right in the ballpark of what I assumed the cost would be so I purchased that as well and saved money in installation costs by having it all done at once. I contacted the office staff to get everything coordinated — contract signed, deposit down and an appointment scheduled. They were so great to work with. They were really friendly and when I wanted to move my appointment up, they were able to get me a new date.
Everything else from there was easy. All-​Star takes care of all prep, permits, the electrical contractor, etc and it’s included in the quote you get. There’s nothing worse than thinking you know what you’re going to spend and then getting hit with additional charges that weren’t in the fine print. Installation went very smoothly. Everyone showed up on time and got right to work. They actually finished up sooner than expected and they were able to run some wires that were going to have to be along the side of the house under a corner and into my garage. It was all going to be in the back were only we would see it, but it was nice that when they realized there was a more aesthetically pleasing option they did it that way.
I couldn’t have been happier with my overall experience with All-​Star. I’ve already set up pre-​paid maintenance and believe I will be doing business with them for a long time to come.
