History

Established in 2011.

While most of my friends in high school were busy playing sports, little did I know, I was learning the foundation of what would be my livelihood many years later. I worked for a local landscaper all through high school. Upon receiving my college degree in communications, I jumped out and started my own landscaping company called, Newland-​scaping (the most popular comment we get about our name is, «That’s clever!» *last name is Newland). As my wife and I became more and more aware of the many dangers of chemicals and hormones in our food, I began to also question the dangerous nature of the fertilizers and pesticides we generously apply to our yards every year. Through concern for my own family, as well as yours, Whole Yards was born. As a native to Colorado Springs, I am committed to having a local, family run business that seeks to build up our community with a commitment to pure, organic methods, while providing unrivaled customer service.

I have been blessed with a beautiful wife. After a few years of marriage, we went a little crazy and had 4 children in 5 years! I go mow grass and move boulders in order to relax. My wife is amazing. She is vital for our business, helping out with organizing, paperwork, and financial advice. With 3 out of 4 kids being boys, I am raising my own landscaping crew! So, from time to time, you may see me with a young supervisor in training. From my family to yours, we will care for your Whole Yard.
