Been here multiple times with my family for lunch and dinner. Have to say its a nice quiet place and people don’t seem to know about it since I never see it packed. We always get one of the BBQ packages for dinner since there are 4 of us and each time it’s been good. The staff is friendly and helpful, always answering our questions and making sure we know what we’re getting since we are not Korean. Their tofu soup is pretty good too, and short ribs are amazing.

Hands down one of the best Korean barbecue places I’ve been to. Definitely worth it going there with a group of friends. The short ribs are definitely a must for anybody who visits this place. I ended up getting short ribs a bowl of sticky rice and a separate bowl of their fermented chili sauce and it tasted absolutely awesome! They have a okay selection of alcohol but I wish that they had better menus and selection. If you go with a bunch of friends it’s usually a very inexpensive night. The family style dining really lends itself well to having a great casual experience. Definitely a place that I would recommend to pregame at on a Friday or Saturday night before heading out to the city.

I gotta say… This was the first time i walked into a korean BBQ restaurant and being white… i was not the minority. This was refreshing. And i felt comfortable knowing that they probably weren’t racist towards anybody that wasn’t korean as are most of the restaurants in palisades park. Although its a little expensive They give you a good amount of food. Ordered the number 2 with a friend. It came with flounder sashimi. a fish stew. boiled egg dish and other good banchan. a bottle of soju(optional to substitute for naegmyon but we were to full for that) and a good amount of beef steak and vegetables that they cook and cut up for you at the table. All for 99 $ befor tip and tax. They service is very good but sometimes they just don’t know when to leave you to yourself. Wait on me with out trying to make so much conversation. Very nice sweet lady. TIP: if you are a smoker they have plenty of outside dinning int he summer.

I been coming to this tofu & kor bbq place for 5 plus years now. The place recently added some outside seating and Bar area. The bon chon dishes are hit or miss and so are the weekdays. The menu has more«stone pot» selections and they have pretty decent soju combo deals. *Stay away on week nights(service downright stink-o) *Try #J11, its bibibop + sliced ribs over rice.

We came here because my bf’s brother was craving for their chicken. He said he had been thinking about it for WEEKS. So we decided to go before dropping me home in PA. It really felt like we were driving forever in a strange location with really poor conditioned roads. Anyway, we get to Myung Ga only I thought it was called Lighthouse(apparently that’s just the bar area). I would have preferred to be out here. It was a cool outdoor seating area and would be great on a summer’s night. Apparently my bf’s brother was craving the ‘fire chicken’. And boy, is that an understatement. I tapped out after four pieces. But it was great. Even the boys were sweating from it. I wished we ordered other dishes but we were on a time constraint. I think it was pretty pricey for what we got though. I didn’t get to see the itemized bill but I think they charged us for additional rice. Nice place but I doubt I will come again, more because of distance than the food.

The food was not impressive at all, not even the water was good. Waitress didn’t even want to help with the food to make it better. Wont go there again.

Probably one of the best places to have in NJ. The Korean BBQ short ribs and the rice dishes are really good, but the Tofu soup falls a little short, you could probably get a better soup in Fort Lee. The Ban Chan is the best i have seen from many Korean Places i have been to, they have a big selection and sometimes is enough for 2 people to have just that for dinner, They have very good service, the 3 stars are more like 3 ½. Things to try ae the ribs, Kimchi & masago rice and the casserole.

Light House is a Korean BBQ house that specializes in tofu soup, but I found their BBQ and tofu not all that impressive. Their Ok, just not the place I would run to if I wanted some BBQ or tofu. Their octopus stone pot rice, on the other hand is amazing. It’s well flavored with Korean spices and their portions of octopus is very generous. They also serve a good amount of ban chan(side dishes) and their food is MSG free.

Find classic-traditional Korean dishes at this restaurant. They serve lunch and dinner specials where you can choose an entrée and a soup for a reasonable price, since they serve enough ban-chan(side dishes). I always enjoy ordering fried fish and bean soup. The soup is very salty as it should be. It resembles the flavors from Busan-South Korea. Since my father is originally from Busan, he is a regular here whenever he’s feeling nostalgic about his homeland. They advertize tofu soup as the specialty of the house, but I’ve never tried it since my friend told me it wasn’t very impressive here. Having children, I like to order Bulgogi in a pot. It comes with noodles underneath and is easy for my children to eat since it is sweet and flavorful. For meat lovers, they have special prices for BBQ both Kalbi(marinated ribs) and chdolbegi(unmarinated beef very thinly sliced). Being near the H Supermarket, this is the place to stop by for lunch when you’re done with shopping. For a good value for a Korean full course meal, this is the place to come to. They advertize no MSG.
