Community First Bank

This has been my bank for almost 18 years. I love these folks! Their rates for things like checking accounts are very reasonable. When I first moved here in 1997, other banks were charging $ 30 a month for business checking accounts. My business account at community first bank started at five dollars a month. Now I think I’m paying about seven or eight dollars a month for it. On the rare occasions that a client’s check does not clear, the amount is minimal compared to what the big chains charge. Ditto with the rare bounced check.
Even though there’s just the one office, they have an ATM system set up around the country through which no fees are charged. The tellers here are very friendly. And I trust the higher-​ups to give me straight information and not just feed me a line of BS when I inquire about loans and mortgages.
My only regret with this review is that I can only give them five stars. Honestly, I don’t know why anybody would bother with a big chain bank when there is such an excellent community bank right here in the «neighborhood»!!

I wrote the above review several months ago. A couple weeks after that I wrote the review I got a notice in the mail that community first bank had been bought out by Providence banks. The official merge took place two days ago on July 1, 2015. I received a notice in the mail today which except for a few things like now you have to have a minimum of five dollars in coins or you will be charged a fee for running them through the coin counter. I’ll keep my review at five stars for now. I’ll check back in a couple months.
