History
Established in 1955.
In June 2015 my grandfather traveling alone, at the age of 15, landed on Ellis Island to make his way to Rochester. After years of hard work to achieve the American dream, shortly after prohibition he opened the first dinner\dance club coined The Swing Club.
In the early 1950s bay and Goodman opened on the corner that bears its name. One of my fondest memories are families bringing in glass bowls back to the kitchen to be filled with grandma’s homemade pasta sauce and meatballs. The popularity of her delicious sauce and Italian cooking is what led to one of Rochester’s most popular pizzerias.
Not a whole lot has changed since then, we still use the same tomatoes and recipes today.
