I stayed away from Pub 99 for a long time and I have no idea why. The food is actually pretty yummy for a chain. Can’t beat the cheap prices. I went recently and ordered the grilled turkey tips — they were delicious! It came with coleslaw, mashed potatoes and a honey biscuit. Another item that is delicious: the gold fever chicken! They also offer free popcorn or cheese and crackers so you don’t have to buy a huge appetizer. Me likey. Also they only have booth seating. quite possibly the best idea ever.

99 reasons you’ll always come back for more! Steak tips and tenders, you can never go wrong. Then there’s always the fish tacos. I’m not normally one for chain restaurants but this place is extremely consistent and tasty. And the bud select draft is that best bang for you $$ coldest draft beer anywhere around.

we’ve been dining at 99 for years and the fairhaven restaurant is our favorite. we have yet to get a bad meal here. we always order steak and haven’t been disappointed. cooked to order, hot mashed potatoes and prompt drink refills. my only complaints are i wish they served a good bread with the meals and they could have a better dessert selection. other than that, it’s a good place for a decent steak dinner with quick service. other favorites are the buffalo wings, lettuce wedge w/blue cheese and bacon and the french onion soup for apps.

This is just about the only chain the survived in Fairhaven… After Uno and Applebees kicked the bucket, this place became our place to dine if we are too lazy to cook and just want a reliable meal. Service is friendly. For a chain typically my expectation is usually not too high, but they managed to do well. Water always refill fast. 8⁄10 times waitress actually has friendly personality. Never had any issue with not being promptly attended to. Solid damage control. 2 examples: 1) I ordered nacho one time. The plate is full of grease and liquid… basically the worst nacho ever. I did not finish for obviously reason yet elected not to complaint about it neither. The waiter saw this and took off the bill with me even asking. 2) My daughter’s chicken parm was under cooked. I complainted and the manager made her a new one(and did not charge us), and on top of that did not charge the take out I made for my wife(another chix parm). The food flavor and portion is pretty consistent. I like to order steak tips with chix strips. I think they used to give you more, now it may have shrunked abit, but still enough to fulfill. The facility itself is clean. No sticky table or strange odor. Defintely a place I will continue to patronize as long as I live in the neighborhood.

A passion to serve The first Ninety Nine Restaurant was started in 1952 and there are now over a hundred of them throughout the North East. Their mission state is A Passion to Serve. Our waitress was very nice, pleasant and friendly and although a passion to serve might be a bit of hyperbole perhaps, she did seem to enjoy her job, was very attentive and made sure we had everything we wanted. To be honest the food at Ninety Nine Restaurant is a lot like what is available at a whole heap of other restaurants of this type. Good food but with a limited menu and nothing that is really going to get your attention. The prices are quite reasonable and pretty much what you would expect. The restaurant was very clean and had a rather odd but pleasant décor. At least the tables aren’t all smushed together and you have room to spread out a bit. We don’t go to Ninety Nine Restaurants very often because there always seems to be something around that we would rather have. But it certainly is a pleasant, clean and reasonably priced place for some decent food and friendly and attentive, if not passionate, service.

Hard to judge the worst part of our meal… was it the hair growing out of the chicken wings, the promise to «get you more wings» to replace the 20 we ordered and returning with a plate of 3(yes, three), the 5 drink glasses that sat empty for looonnnngg stretches of time, the medium-well steak we had to send back because it was red, or the latex glove(I assume from the chef) that came inside a sandwich? Yes you read right… A DIRTYLATEXGLOVEWASINSIDETHESANDWICH!!! I’m still sick thinking about where that had been. I won’t be eating at any 99 ever again. Would you?
