Let me start by saying that the staff is very nice. I brought our dog 2 x over the last year and both times our dog came home sick. Both times with vet bills too which our dog needed medication. I did phone with this news, and a young lady answered the phone and was very nice and wished our dog well. I understand that boarders cannot know which dogs are sick but maybe things need to be changed and evaluated by the owners. Also our dogs pillow was ripped and chewed up. Our dog is very passive and has never done that so I’m assuming another dog had access to our dogs sleeping space. If not, then we wondered why the person who brought our belongings out didn’t inform us until we noticed it when we loaded the car. Maybe they didn’t know. Too much texting and on cell phones by both front desk and dog handlers (we saw on webcams) we switched to another boarder in Fairfield.

I have brought my dogs here every summer during our vacations and they have always been treated with such loving care!
They are SO HAPPY when we get into the parking lot to see their extended cousins as I tell them! Their rules are a bit tough, but I feel secure knowing they are tough for the safety of MY dogs and although its not always convenient for me to have to stay away from dog parks before we go there (actually, we stopped dog parks altogether because of the info I learned from Liz and Max), I’m grateful that the Rover Ranch takes extra precautions to keep my dogs healthy and safe!
HIGHLY recommend trying this place out!!!

We always leave our dogs with them when we go away on long trips. We recently used them for a weekend. I especially like the fact that there is cameras in the play area.

My Dog loves Rover Ranch as do I. She has boarded there for the past three years, and they do an excellent job. She is happy when we get there and she loves going back. Whether they board or go for the day, the dogs are out in the play areas. You can see the dogs on doggiecam during the day and the dogs look happy, playing all day. It’s nice that they have two play areas, one for larger and more rambunctious dogs and one for small and more timid dogs. People are in there supervising the dogs.

Really happy with this place. Boarded my french bulldog for a few days and really enjoyed knowing he was in great shape because I could watch him on the nifty webcams! They were very patient with all my questions.

I needed to leave my dog this summer for a week while I was on vacation. My vet recommended Rover Ranch and Spa in Fairfield. It’s such a great place. The staff was so friendly, the owners very involved, the place was spotless and my dog came home happy and healthy. The dogs play all day in a supervised setting and they separate the dogs by size. I was able to watch my dog on their web cams which gave me a great sense of comfort. I was also able to get him groomed while he was there. They also sell great stuff in their boutique. I would definitely use them again and feel 100% comfortable recommending Rover Ranch and Spa. They also have daycare which I intend to take advantage of so that my dog can socialize on a more regular basis.

My dog LOVES boarding at Rover Ranch. The ranch hands all remember him, and he is obviously treated well because he has no problem being left in their care. This is saying a lot, as he is a pound puppy who spent enough time in the shelter to be wary of being boarded. The daycare is included in the boarding fee, so he gets to enjoy time with the other dogs and out of his kennel each day.
I also appreciate the way they keep me informed while he is with them. I am very comfortable leaving him in their care for extended stays.
