Preferred Auto Body and Custom

I have literally taken my car there for years to the point that people think my car looks new (my old car with 250k miles). I just had my brand spanking new 2015 car worked on here, these guys are honest and will help you and go the extra mile for you i really recommend this body shop. Great service and prices and lots of experience in repair and dealing with insurance companies. A real honest body shop that actually takes pride in their work and wont screw you like other places i went to back in the day.

Beware! Preferred does not stand behind their work!
I took my truck to this place in March to get a complete paint job as the original paint was peeling. I was told it would take 4 weeks to complete. I paid the full amount up front (big mistake) I wasn’t in big hurry to get it done so I said he could take longer if he needed to. Three months later he had made very little progress, So mistake #2, I took my mother in laws 2012 pearl white Honda Accord after the rear bumper had been hit. Preferred replaced the bumper and painted it. As I approached the body shop from a distance I could see the bumper was not even close to the color, looked like they sprayed the wrong color, I thought it was a joke. When the owner came out I explained my concerns to which he said it is what it is, that was the color code. I asked if he could do anything about it he said no. I was very kind, after all he had my money for the work that needed to be completed on my truck, so I left to get a second opinion from a couple different body shops and they told me it unacceptable, I asked how much they would charge me to make it right and they advised I return the car so Preferred could fix it and if they couldn’t the other body shops would.
So I talked to the owner at Preferred, he was very irritated with me; I had to calm him down. He said he would fix it… reluctantly. He repainted the bumper, it was a little a closer match but I know it can be done better and so do others. They were extremely rude to me when I picked up the car. Being extremely rude they said they did not want to complete my truck because I was too «picky» but that they would since we had a contract. I felt helpless since they had all my money, so I decided to pull my truck out from their shop. They were not close to being half way done yet the owner kept half my money, he said business is business; there was nothing I could do. They were jerks, I give them two stars because some of their work is good, however if they make a mistake they take zero accountability and become aggressive. I would NEVER do business there again!

I took my ’06 Mini Cooper to Preferred Auto Body to get an engine oil leak fixed and my front suspension bushings replaced. I also had them replace a side view mirror cap and a tail light unit. Horacio had everything done for 40% less than what it would have cost to fix just the engine oil leak and the suspension from the dealership. They had my car finished (and washed and detailed it) within a week and even took the time to take pictures and explain everything to me! Horacio

If I could give Preferred Auto Body more than 5 stars I would! They repaired my vehicle and I can honestly say it probably looks better than before the accident! They even cleaned my vehicle inside and out, so when I picked it up it was spotless, which was a nice thing for them to do! Horacio, Reneri and their team really go above and beyond! They’re honest in regards to what your vehicle really needs repaired, they work hand in hand with your insurance to make the repair process so simple. They kept me informed and due to the fact that I was coming in from out of town to pick up my vehicle they even stayed open a little later to make it possible for me to pick up my car and not have to go another day without one!
Honestly if you need repairs this is the place to go! From the customer service, to the quality of the repairs everything is simply above and beyond work!

Horacio really knows what he’s doing, and he’s upfront and honest. He’s taken care of us a few times now, over the years, and he really takes the stress out of dealing with accidents and repairs. Susanna is great, too. She gives really good, genuine, customer service.
Most recently, we took our Corolla to them. Horacio assured us it would be good as new, and he really delivered! He returned our car to us looking even better than it did when we took it to him.
This auto body shop won’t nickel and dime you, they won’t try to pressure you in any way, and they won’t exaggerate or lie for any reason, least of all to squeeze you for more than your repairs are worth. Highly recommended.

These guys are amazing, and Susanna at the front desk is a sweetheart. They’re all extremely picky about detail, which so am I. My initial reason for going to this body shop was based on the many positive reviews from Unilocal,now my experiance speaks for itself. I couldnt be more pleased with the outcome. Thanks for the great work!!!

These guys are THE BEST. I took my Lexus IS to them a few years back and they did a fantastic job. It turned out most of the vehicle needed to be re-​painted (luckily insurance covered it) and they went out of their way to make it look as good as new. They were super nice, honest, and kept me informed. They take pride in their work.
They are so good that I took my car again when some jerk keyed it a few months back. Again, they were professional, timely, and did a fantastic job. It turns out my wife’s Lexus SUV was rear-​ended around this time as well, and again I took it there and they hooked it up like always. Car comes back looking brand new. I have recommended a couple of other people here, and would not hesitate to do so again. These guys are the best.

So after 24 years of driving it finally happens… I got nailed by a red light runner who wasn’t paying attention… and on top of that I was in the car I love most… my 05 Nissan 350z. My brother in law was in an accident 6 months ago and had Preferred Auto Body fix his Toyota and I’d been impressed by the work they did on that… plus they’re old high school friends of his as well. so I decided to bring it to them for an estimate. From the moment I talked to Horatio on the phone I KNEW Preferred Auto body was going to take care of me. From giving me advice on going ahead and using my insurance (Geico) to get things moving quickly to later that morning talking to he and Reneri in person I immediately felt better about getting my Z fixed here. I only wanted original Nissan parts put on and they worked with me on that. and worked to get Nissan to come down in price or match aftermarket prices for me. I visited several times during the month or so it was there (took a while for some of the Nissan parts to come in) and was always shown what stage my car was in… the specs they were following to make sure everything was EXACTLY the way Nissan intended them to be… what the next steps were ect. I had them do a little extra with adding 370Z signal lights on the fenders as well and they came out GREAT. When I picked up the car I was blown away by the paint… my car is Pikes Peak White and has a gold pearl in it… Horatio made it look PERFECT… I’m pretty picky about paint and he did an incredible job of blending… you honestly cannot tell it was ever in an accident. It drives just like new and I feel like the accident never even happened. Also, their office manager Susana was extremely helpful at giving me info and keeping me in the loop… I knew I was going to get my car back in good as new shape and I did. If you need a great auto body shop that has great customer service and does EXCELLENT work I highly recommend you give Preferred Auto Body a call… you won’t regret it.

This is the ONLY body shop I use. They do an excellent, professional job. Horacio takes care of me like I’m family. They’ve painted my 2005 Tahoe and it is beautiful! I’m about to have them work on my 2003 Jetta. I have total confidence in their work and would strongly recommend them to anyone.

Is it possible to give negative stars — if so, this place would be the perfect candidate. Took a car for «restoration» paint job. They had the car for close to three years. Long story short, I have a case pending against them thru BBB for a $ 6000.00 paint job that has shrunk, chipped and bubbled. STAY AWAY

This Body Shop is the best, They have worked on my 03′ Subaru WRX a few times, From Painting side skirts and misc. pieces to installing my Spoiler, These guys did an Awesome Job. While installing my Spoiler we noticed that they needed to drill 16 holes in the trunk and it did not come with a template. Was not a problem for Horacio and Reneri to install. They did an awesome and professional job.

I recently got my 64 VW repainted and they did an amazing job. Everyone was so professional and their quality of work speaks for themselves. I’ve recommended this shop to various family and friends. They are a straight forward no BS shop which is hard to find. Great work!

Oh man whats NOT to say about this awesome establishment… Horacio & Renee are an kick ass team that have never let me down. They worked on my RSX that I entered in show reguarly and their customer service and work quality are unmatched in the area… I, as well as the countless recommendations I have sent their way, are all extremely happy with their work. Rest assured that they will take care of you and you car, you have nothing to worry about!

I was recommend this place by a few friends with show cars and I was very please with the work they did for my car, which is now a show car. When I first went and was trying to figure out a pearl to mix with a color they sprayed 5 different pulls on a metal fender to see how I would like it. They made sure that my paint had the effect I wanted which was a subtle gold pearl on a alpine silver base. This auto body shop is 30 – 40 minutes away from me, but well worth the drive for this excellent service and quality of work. I recommend this shop to everyone who wants excellent quality.
