Ned Stevens Gutter Cleaning

Trying to book an appointment for my dad who has Alzheimer’s. Need a certain day and time so he doesn’t turn them away like he always does when he’s home alone! WORST customer service ever! The woman was so nasty. Been using them for years… time to look elsewhere. #donotneedtobetreatedlikethis #plentyofotherservicesoutthere

I warn you dont use this company. I took off work to be there when they came. But they came earlier then they said. So I wasnt around to watch them. They made a mess and I arrived home just as the workers were leaving. They didnt speak english well and were in a rush to go. They said that i needed repairs to gutter and I should call office I ask them to point me to where i needed repairs they didnt even want to get out of truck. I called the office and they told me i needed a new gutter on left side off house and they were very rude and denied that they came at the wrong time and said i was” lucky” to have my gutters inspected. To make a long story short I had to find another honest gutter service to find out if I in fact needed any repairs since my gutters were actually less then a year old and it didnt make sence that they needed to be replaced. Sure enough he said everything was fine and I was just being scamed.

Very disappointed with the salesman. When I first hired the service I was told I needed new gutters and it wouldn’t be worth cleaning. I got new gutters, they came and cleaned them fine but little did I know I was charged for the first time they came. When it came time to renew I couldn’t get a word in with the salesman who told me essentially I didn’t know that they had to clean to tell me the gutters were bad. They didn’t clean them the first time. He argued with me. So I voted with my feet. Bye bye

The guys show up, do a great job and leave my bill at the door. Easy peasy. And if they come at a bad time — really early on a weekend, for example — they are happy to come back another time if I ask. And now that the phone reps don’t try to hard-​sell me on home improvements or high-​cost repairs (long, old story), I am quite pleased with them.

Have been using Ned Stevens for many years. Always an excellent and professional job. Workers are always helpful and courteous. Already scheduled through next year. Thank you Ned Stevens!

Did an excellent job on cleaning my gutters & down spouts. Very courteous and nice employee. Will definitely be calling again next year.

I have used Ned Stevens for many years. Always a good job and good clean up. They will take the debris with them if you request that. Otherwise they will probably leave it at the curb, which is fine unless you’re a week away from trash pick– up. They come to my home twice a year, early spring and late fall. They have never tried to bait and switch.
This spring, I did have a problem with clean-​up. They left a lot of debris in my flower beds and the perimeter of the house, which was so unusual for them.
I called, talked to Mike, told him of my displeasure, and he issued me a credit for the next cleaning in the fall for my aggravation, with an apology. When I returned from work the next day, there was a plackard on my door that they had come back, and my debris was cleaned up. They did a great job.
Of course they will advise if they see something that they think needs repair, but they are not pushy about it, Just say no, that works. They told me of some staining on the roof, that they have a cleaning service, but I said the roof was about 15+ years old, and he agreed that if wouldn’t be worth cleaning if I was going to replace it soon. I find they really are not a high-​pressure company.
I will continue to use them as long as they give me good service and stand behind their service.

if I could give less than a star, I would. So professional on phone. Told themI have a large 2 story house with tile roof. They said $ 325, payable in advance. I paid. Guy came out 3 weeks later and was here 5 minutes. Today called with our «revised» estimate of $ 725 as house is big with a tile roof. Total bait and switch– I’m getting a refund and using someone else asap. Super unprofessional

Did a through job, however don’t buy that $ 35-​$ 75 price for average home. They charged me $ 160 for 2800ft2 home, even though I told service rep gutters over garaged screened and didn’t need to be cleaned.

Interesting that after two years of fending off Ned Stevens incessant calling (fairly early and later evening to boot) that after I post on Unilocal I finally get an actual acknowledgement of my repeated requests to stop calling. Let’s see what happens.
Nevertheless, I’m still not going to use them anymore.

Good job at a fair price. Clean up is always done well. Have used them 3 – 4 times and plan to continue as the need arises.

Don’t bother with this company, they put you on a wAiting list for service, go with a local outfit, these guys quoted me $ 100 more than others. They won’t even come out if there is snow on the ground, pathetic business Don’t even call them

I called to have my gutters cleaned a few days ago. The customer service rep, who was nice and professional, explained that they don’t make appointments since it’s outdoor work, but they would send someone soon. He also emailed me helpful information related to some questions I had about gutters.
Two guys showed up today, despite the pouring rain, and did an impressively thorough job of cleaning all my gutters. They double-​checked their work after they were done, made sure the water flowed freely through all the downspouts, and cleaned up all the debris they had removed from the gutters. They were efficient, polite, pleasant (despite being drenched in the pouring rain… and working on Christmas Eve), and answered all my questions and concerns along the way. I couldn’t have asked for better service!
I normally have my handyman take care of the gutters, but I’ll use Ned Stevens moving forward. The two guys they sent did an absolutely fantastic job!

I didn’t think I could write 6 paragraphs about gutter cleaning, but here ya go!
It starts with the same issue that others have had, they would not schedule a date for me. They basically said, we don’t know when we can get to it, but we’ll try to get there soon. okay. okay.
They finally showed up today and cleaned the gutters. I got a call a few hours later which I was expecting to be a quality survey. Nope. They wanted to upsell me on «leveling my gutters.» It would have been nice if I could have seen the problems while the guys were here. You mean, there’s a problem that could cause damage to my house that I can’t test on my own and that your guys just decided not to demonstrate while they were here? Of course, what’s another $ 550.00?! Just do it! Thanks for making time in your completely overwhelming work of collecting money for running a hose for 10 minutes.
Maybe I’m just a little fired up at the moment, but the reality is, gutters are very very important, and if they’re not working properly, your house will be damaged. It is serious and important work, and they should have SHOWN me where my gutters were off-​level if they really want to save me the headache of further damage. Calling me later is almost like saying, yeah, we don’t really want to do this work, but we don’t the liability of not bringing it to your attention either.
But what offended me most is that we had used Ned Stevens to install new gutters about 10 — 12 years ago, and Ned Stevens is the only company that has ever cleaned and maintained them. But, they have no record of ever doing business with us! So, forget about the off-​level gutter being a warrantee issue (for which they wouldn’t have been covered anyway), I didn’t even exist to them before today!
Unfortunately, this long standing family run business seems to be operating more like fly by night gypsies than old time craftsmen you can trust to do the job right. I’m seriously offended that they have no record of business on my home. I assured the CRM that we had used them many times, and all I heard was «That’s impossible sir, it’s not in the computer.» Gee, you ever think maybe you just can’t find it? Customers really don’t like that, especially when they’ve been paying for semi-​annual cleanings for over 10 years, with only a brief lapse.
I wanted to go one star, but you did actually clean the gutters and no one cursed at me or pooped on my lawn, so you got 2.

Called them more than 3 weeks ago to schedule an appointment and was told they would put me on the waiting list. They just showed up, unnounced today, after I had already paid someone to do it in a timely manner.

I called them for a gutter cleaning. They charged my card and would not give me a date. I waited a few days and nothing called back and still no date. It wasn’t until i threatened to call the BBB and to post online reviews that a spot opened up next day. HOW do you charge someone before even doing the job ??? I would have been ok if they just gave me a date. Also their prices where high and I believe all the positive reviews on Unilocal are from the company itself. STAY AWAY !!!

I had a gutter replaced by them last year. 1 year and 4 months later, the gutter leaks like crazy when it rains! This is the reason why I had it replaced. I called Ned Stevens to ask if they will correct the issue. They stated that because I did not have my gutters cleaned and too much time passed (really…only a little over a year later??) they would not do anything for me. This gutter is not near any trees (therefore no leaves will get in) and I have gutter guards on all the other gutters which Ned Stevens said I would have to remove in order for them to clean the gutters, then I would have to reinstall.
I am disappointed they they do not stand by their work. I went with them for this gutter SINCE they are in the gutter business.
