Business Owner

II was born and raised in Turkey. I came to USA when I was 26 years old. I always wanted to learn to be able to speak English. And thought this was the best way to do it. I have an engineering degree but as you see I have been in retail world for a quite a long time. From the humble beginnings many up and downs I am still having my own business and I am proud of it. As a business owner my main goal is helping to our customers the best possible way in order to make their shopping experience very pleasant with us. Make sure they get what they want. And always be there for them.

I have been married for 12 years to my best friend. My wife’s name Kris. She is great as a person and life partner.

We have the best dog ever. King Charles Cavalier. And her name is Daisy. She is a little angel sent to us by God.

Best nights sleep in a long time. I would recommend this store to anyone looking for a mattress, bed, or pillows. I bought a eastern king mattress and i could not be happier. It was delivered when promised, the setup team were professional and courteous. My salesman and owner Akin made this experience a great one. No pressure to buy but very informative and took the time to answer all my questions. I went in their for a twin box spring for my son and came out with a mattress, bed frame and two pillows for me. They even had 18 moths no interest to make the buying experience easier. They didn’t even mind my sons trying every mattress in the place. I will go back there for sure and highly recommend you go here for your mattress needs.

My wife, myself and I were looking for a new mattress to replace our old one. One of our friends was tagging along looking for a spare mattress for a guest bed as well. First we went to Sears and took a look at their mattresses and wow that was a mistake. Everything was way to expensive there. So we headed on our way and stopped here to give it a shot. We were first met by Rick who is friendly and knowledgeable of the mattress selection they have there. My wife and I described the type of mattress we were looking for and in no time Rick already had 6 mattresses that fit our general description. After some extensive testing by my wife we finally found one we liked at a 1⁄3 the cost of Sears. My friend was so impressed by the prices and comfort he ended up buying himself a new bed set up and moved his old stuff to his guest room. Rick didn’t lead us wrong, we’ve had this mattress for a little while now and I’ve never slept better.

So was a little nervous after reading a couple really bad reviews but overall they were positive so I decided to check them out. It was a lot smaller «barn» than I thought it would be but hey I had just come from Ashley Furniture where it was so big I got lost. Maybe it was just me :) Someone greeted us right away and started showing us mattresses based on our needs. We walked out of there less than 30 minutes later with a CA King mattress and a complete double bed set with frame, rails, box spring and mattress for 1300. This included delivery and haul away of old stuff. It was quick and easy and really affordable. Ashley Furniture quoted me 2k for a mattress vs the 800 I paid here and they were basically same quality. Overall Ashley was 1k higher than Mattress Barn for everything I bought. I also asked his opinion on several other places in the area because I wanted a sofa sleeper. He told me to pass on a few and then suggested Three Brothers Furniture in Vallejo. I skipped hours of looking at a bunch of places and I went straight there based on his recommendation. I left 3Bros 30 minutes later with a 950 sleeper sofa. Right on! My shopping was done and he didn’t steer me wrong. I was really impressed with the ease of purchase and good value I received from Mattress Barn. OK, my things haven’t actually been delivered yet and I haven’t slept on it but if something goes horribly wrong I will let you know. Until then, I’m good and you will be too if you shop at Mattress Barn!

This time I brought my husband with me (a must for a final mattress purchase for couples). Again, we were not dissappinted! We even went to all the rest of the mattress places on the street to compare different mattresses. We went back to Mattress barn for these few reasons:
— customer service is sincere, informing and honest. Akin, the owner, is a true gentleman and knows his products well.
— prices are very competitive. We had a cheap mattress for 7 years and this time chose ab organic memory foam with adjustable base. We knew we wanted have a bigger budget and the other two places did not have what we wanted within that price range, comfort, settings. We were ok with waiting a week for order and delivery.
Overall, other places have nothing on a family owned local business that truly works with your budget and your requests of a specific mattress. We even received a personal thank you card from the owner with a small thank you gift! Thank you Akin for everything!
I hope the mattress is all the comfort as we experienced in your store. Can’t wait to sleep on it!

This review is based off of customer service only. First off, I went to Mattress Barn a few days ago, I did not realize they close at 6:30 and walked in at 6:35, doors were still unlocked because there was a couple just leaving, the sales clerk was kind enough to let me come in. The sales clerk was extremely professional, knowledgeable and honest about every mattress I asked about. I decided on a couple of beds that I liked but needed my husband to come down and see if he liked them as well. The next day, I returned with my husband and a different sales clerk Rick was there. He too was very kind and helpful. I ended up buying a bed from Mattress Barn because the two employees I dealt with were both very nice, helpful and honest. Besides the great customer service, the prices were way better than Mancini’s, Sleepworld and Mattress Discounters. I did go to all of these other stores and the prices were double what I paid for at Mattress Barn. Now I’m just waiting for my bed to be made and delivered, can’t wait!

This review is for their service since we just purchased and haven’t received the mattresses yet. Bought both of our daughter’s full size mattresses from Rick. He is extremely professional and does not pressure like many of the big name stores. They have a good selection from entry to royalty level. Rick never once made us feel uncomfortable, never pushed the more expensive product on us, in fact, did just the opposite and asked a lot of questions to make sure it was the right choice for our girls. Aside from the great price we got, it was really Rick who made our decision to purchase from Mattress Barn very easy.

Okay. I gotta write this too. I am DEFINITELY getting the rest of my home furnishings from here. Besides getting a fair price, the delivery men were SUPER on time, VERY friendly and efficient, OMG. Just, WOW. And he gave me tips to keep the furniture in good condition. The best.

If you want top quality furniture at a fraction of the cost plus excellent customer service, this is the place. 100% satisfactory customer! All my furniture will be bought here from now on.

Great customer service, Rick was cool, knowledgeable and pacient. We went here first and we were helped by Rick, after he showed us all our options we told him we were going shop around for other options first. We went to sleep train and it seemed that they jacked up their prices for the holiday weekend to make you think you were getting a deal, we then went to mancinis and the two employees that were in there were too caught up with their computers that we had to leave. We went back to mattress barn bought a mattress and called it a day.

Rick was awesome, so friendly and knowledgeable, genuinely cared about our comfort and did not pressure us to buy the most expensive mattress in the store! After shopping all of the mattress stores in the area that were supposively having big sales, we ended up buying here. It is the only place you can get a good mattress in the $ 600 range. NO ONE had anything for that. Thank you Rick and mattress barn, what a great company that cares about customers.
