I had heard such great & positive things about Holly Mattice that I had looked forward to working with her firm on a custody dispute. Unfortunately I was unable to get an appointment with Holly Mattice and instead was set up with an associate, Cynthia Kairys. Although I work as a paralegal, my firm doesn’t do family law & so I sought professional assistance on a custody dispute matter. From my initial consultation I was told NOT to tell her anything negative about my ex and felt I wasn’t able to get out things which I felt might’ve been pertinent to my case? I felt like my concerns for my child and his care were unimportant. Perhaps it might have been because I was a man and seeking custody of my son? I’m not sure. Despite this I decided to continue to work with her because I felt she was tough & this was just the way it had to be. However as time went on there were several things that made me question her commitment to my case and in a way made me feel like she was adversarial to me! 1) There was an issue w billing an hour for two emails that might have taken less than 10mins to write each nonetheless I was charged and paid it. 2) My concerns and emails would sometimes just be ignored. 3) There was an upcoming deadline and I needed to speak to my attorney about preparing some documents. I had a 3PM appt only to call and be told that my attorney was unavailable. Although I did eventually get a call back, in the end I felt I was better off on my own than being represented by Ms. Kairys as I felt that my case was simply NOT important to her. I didn’t feel welcome. Again perhaps it was because I was a man and seeking custody of my only son. I do not know what her deal against me was. Nonetheless as of yesterday I terminated representation with her firm and hopefully my next experience with an attorney will be more pleasant.

Doesn’t anyone else find it odd that every positive review for Mattice was written by the same person? I found that she was completely the opposite as what was described here by «Shady G.» Advise? Go elsewhere!
