I have dined in every sushi/Japanese restaurant in Fairfield Ct As I work in NYC I have dined in Japanese restaurants there as well Kiraku is definitely a favorite. From Jonathan the manager to Leo the sushi chef I dine here every Friday. The fish is very good quality and fresh. the presentation by chef Leo is a culinary art. If you want to have him create a dish not offered on the menu, he is pleased to accommodate. If you do not want sushi, the menu has plenty to offer in Asian food The selection here is quite large. I look forward to go hear each and every week Mark K

Don’t get me wrong they have excellent fresh sushi and it was one of my top favorite places BUT today : They tried to hustle me w sushi! I ordered TORO which is pink and I got regular red tuna instead ! I DID complain and got half off on the fake toro order– it’s unfortunate bc this was one of my favorite places– I’ll never come back And Not to mention the microscopic pieces of sashimi– this is the first time I’ve ever been served something so small and I’ve been here so many times! It says on the menu that the sashimi is 2 pieces per order but when I got the UNI it was only one piece — Total RIPOFF

Finally, Manhattan level sushi & Asian cuisine in Fairfield, CT. Kiraku had recently snagged Jyn Kong and Leo Chen from down town Manhattan to reignite the flavor at Fairfield’s favorite sushi restaurant.

They have 3 pages of options for specialty rolls. Did I say 3 pages? Wow. As far as nigiri, there were the usual options and everything that was listed as M.P. was unavailable. I was looking forward to Kampachi, Toro, and others that were listed on their menu but weren’t available to order. The rolls were yummy. My friend enjoyed his Pad Thai if you’re looking for a non-sushi option.

I like this place because it delivers and you can get both sushi and Chinese, so it makes everyone ordering happy no matter what they want. The sushi is solid but not exceptional. You won’t be unhappy, and it scratches the sushi itch when you need it delivered, but it’s not going to blow your mind. The fried rice is very good. The other Chinese dishes are OK, but for some reason they put a TON of big pieces of red onions in the noodle dishes. I just ask for them to be left off. Delivery is quick, prices are average, food is reliable and solid. You can’t ask for much more from delivery sushi.

3 stars because of prices, fast delivery, but overall food is ok. I order from here all the time because Fin does not deliver. This sushi taste fine and is fresh, but nothing compared to FIN which is respectively pricey and no delivery. If your being lazy and want delivery you won’t be WoW’ed but u will not be disappointed nor will your wallet But if you want to take a date out, Fin

By far the best sushi in Fairfield. You have to go to Stamford to the west or Orange to the east to beat this place.

Best sushi in town. Apps are creative and delish. Great place for families, young professionals or a late night drink and bite to eat. Staff is friendly and always gets our order right. They treat return customers like friends. I go here often.

I love Kiraku! My friends and I go about twice a month. I hear their sushi is great but I go for the sesame chicken. OMG! Best in Fairfield.

I couldn’t be happier that I took a ride to Fairfield to try this place. Had a super tasty meal that was delightfully fresh. Looking forward to exploring more of the menu soon. Definitely recommend trying this place.

I’ve been going to Kiraku for years. The food is always amazing. There’s a new owner Benson and his wife and daughter are so sweet. I almost like it better now because it’s a family business. But the awesome food is what keeps my friends and I coming back.

Just had lunch at Kiraku. They must have just gotten fresh fish in or something because the tuna was amazing. Always is but today was better than ever. My buddy said the same thing about the salmon.

Toro was off the charts, salmon sushi is always amazing, and they have fun rolls that they name after customers. Everyone there is wonderful. Love it.

A rather awkward place to go with friends, but we managed okay. The sushi was completely forgettable and bland. If you read the glowing reviews, the gimmick here is the owner wanders the tables and brings you free stuff, but if he doesn’t get to your table(or some days, doesn’t show up at all) you end up with a really mediocre experience. If you’re looking for personable sushi with an owner who cares, check out Momo. If you’re looking for legit sushi made by a bunch of Japanese people who share one van, check out Fin down the street.

We went to Fairfield to go to Mecha Noodle Bar but it was an hour wait. Saw this place. Wanted to walk right out as soon as I walked in. The wife said no, so we stayed. Chinese run. Since I’m half Japanese that really irks me. Its like a Greek owned Italian place. Not good. Sushi is typical, nothing really screams I got to eat here. There’s no grill despite what the name implies. No shock there. Basically this Tengda.

Used to be much better. Recent meals showed a downward trend, hair in my salad last week and awful entrée makes me wonder if they are under new management. I won’t be back.

Oh Kiraku, I used to love you SO much. So much, in fact, that we would have lunch here 2 times a week and sometimes order takeout for dinner. That is, until, a few weeks ago, there were(several!!!) baby cockroaches each of our soups. As soon as I spotted them, I canceled the rest of our lunch order and we walked out. Im sorry, but we’ll never be back. Get it together, Kiraku. Gross.

I ordered the Salmon Teriyaki Bento– plenty of food and variety w/shumai, california roll, and a good portion of salmon, though it was a little flooded w/teriyaki but at least they’re not skimping. It was a little awkward eating solo for lunch– I’m sure the sushi chef standing in front of the TV felt similarly. All-in-all, I will definitely check out this place again to try different rolls(if Fin or Wild Rice don’t hook me first).
