I found it ridiculous from the start that there was no option to get a membership that only included the weight room and not everything else that comes with a «Platinum» membership. To top that off, they only have ONE squat rack in the whole gym, and no bumper plates whatsoever. This is not a weightlifter-​friendly gym in the slightest.
The last straw for me came today when I waited outside the club for an hour at 6 AM (they supposedly open at 4 AM), and here it is 7:20 with the building totally closed and dark and not an employee in sight. Truly astonishing and I will not be back.

Wow, I love this gym! It’s probably the cleanest most friendly gym I’ve ever been to. Although I haven’t signed up yet, I pay the day fee. I usually go in the mornings. The morning staff is super friendly and nice. I miss the young girl named Stephanie she was great, but Jose and Chomanie (Sp?) are very nice also if it were me opening the gym at 4AM I could not be that friendly, A+!!! on my way out there is often lady named Kendra I believe who always has a smile and is super energetic. I love the cardio room but sometimes it gets a little too warm but that is not going to affect my rating. The pool is PERFECT! always clean and at the perfect temperature.

Despite what i’ve reviewed in the past about this gym. I have seen changes of front desk clerks and janitors. I still go into the gym before work and the two new workers are awesome! Very friendly, very helpful, if i needed questions about something they seem to be very informative also if something was not working the janitorial guy would do his best to fix and make things work best for us members. These two are a great asset to this gym. Despite the bad reviews, i would recommend this gym for sure! 5 stars! The ladys before were too much on their phone and not helpful, not even a smile.

Totally love this gym as it is not crowded and so close to my work so I can work out before I return home to Napa. I tried — for the first time– a 5:30 class (Golden taught it) and the people in there were really nice. One of the ladies even helped me with form so I won’t get hurt during the class this past Thursday’s class. That was so kind!
I like this place a lot and it’s not overwhelming as some gyms can be.

This is my go to gym in the area. I usually prefer it over Dover, Suisun, and Vacaville In-​Shape locations.
This place is very clean, (not smelly, like people sometimes fear gyms will be). I definitely don’t feel icky after using any of the equipment, whether it is the yoga mats, the benches, weights, machines, pools, hot tub, shower, etc. They do a very good job keeping things clean. I have never had to complain about cleanliness, but I know their customer service skills well enough to know that they would tend to any complaints very quickly and efficiently if that were to occur.
Fully equipped with three racquetball courts that have ample use, outdoor pool and hot tub, lounge chairs, studio room with mats and other studio equipment, treadmills, stairmasters, tons of different weight options, spin room, etc. Any equipment you would want is there, and it’s all in very good condition, not too old or run down. The only thing missing is a sauna and steam room, which I wish they had, but I got over it.
I really enjoy how this gym is set up. There are separate rooms for pretty much everything: weight room, machine room, cardio room, studio, spin room, a section often used for mats and ab work, and even an observation room above the racquetball courts.
I like to attend the yoga classes here (pro tip, Tina is great for a good Vinyasa flow, Ginger is great for a relaxing class), but have yet to try any of the other types of classes.
Great gym! Come on in and get those sick gains. Don’t bring too many people though, this gym is also awesome because it doesn’t get too crowded.

This is by far my favorite gym. They have all the equipment that I use and it’s very spacey. I tend to go at night when it’s not so filled with people when I’m in school or in the morning during break or weekends. The workers are very nice and helpful.

As a background I have three gym memberships throughout the country. I am a frequent traveler and believe that fitness is a daily part of my life. Thus, having three gym memberships benefits me. I now only have two as I discontinued my In-​shape platinum membership. In-​Shape on Holiday lane in Fairfield, Ca is the closest in-​shape to my residence. I currently have a membership to the 24 hr fitness not one to two miles away from the In-​Shape. I signed up for In-​shape because I was sick and tired of inconsiderate members at gyms (staying half an hour on a machine and leaving barbell plates on bars, and placing free weight barbells not in the right place), and not to mention the dirty, smelly bathroom at 24 hr fitness. In-shape’s bathroom is always clean and mimics a country club style locker/​bathroom. But as far as the inconsiderate members, they’re also at In-​shape. The bathroom I can live with but the plates left on bars and the lack of multiple variations of machines that work the same muscle area at In-​shape was why I left. It just didn’t have enough to offer for me and my work outs. Don’t get me wrong; facility clean and well kept, staff polite and personal. This gym is geared towards people who are willing to pay more for a nicer, cleaner versus 24 hr fitness across the street. It is geared towards members who are afraid or dont want to work out near sweaty, muscular, flexing members. But at the end of the day I need a gym where there are a lot of machines and options get better exercise benefits. So, I tried to like this gym. But at the end just didn’t suit me. It may suit you, but you don’t know unless you try it out.

I’ve been a member at In Shape for 10 years. I started in Brentwood and Antioch when they were new. I was pleased to see that they had bought locations in the town that I was moving to! 2 years ago I started coming to Holiday Lane. I love the staff there! So nice. A special shout out to my favorite spin instructors Angel, Suzanne, Cara. You guys keep me motivated when I really just want to sleep in!!! Thank you Kayleena for keeping those classes going when I know how hard it is to get group instructors!!! I feel I’m probably missing someone but please know that I appreciate you all!!!

I have been going to Holiday Lane IS for 3 years. I go to the other IS gyms in the area, but I like this one best. It is smaller than most of the others, and I like that. The facilities aren’t very fancy, but I find it very friendly and easy to get in and out. The best part for me are the classes. Coco’s Zumba class on TTH mornings is the best! She makes getting a workout fun. She always has new choreography and is an amazing teacher and so inspiring. Body Pump and Ujam with Lauren and Geri are also really good classes, great workouts with friendly people. :)

I have to come back to write another review. In today’s world of almost zero customer service anymore I have to say I am so incredibly impressed with the manager at this In Shape. Chris called me to discuss my recent negative post, he spent time on the phone with me listening to my concerns, he committed to immediately making changes to the cleanliness of the group x room. Tonight he called me up to follow up on another matter we discussed regarding the Monday night group x class that had been dwindling and not well cared for. THAT is customer service and I am very excited about hitting the clean group x room tomorrow!!! Thank you Chris!!!

:(I’ve worked in gyms my whole life I can’t seem to have a good experience with any of the lnShapes. I finally decided to get a membership after trying three of the local in shapes. The manager at Holiday was extremely unprofessional and smelled like a mean hangover. He seemed too lazy to even give me a tour. The members were rude and the outrageous price I was paying for a very small weight room without the ability to visit other locations was absurd. $ 102 a month! I spoke with the corporate office soon after and they kindly canceled my membership. The only good thing was that they canceled my membership as soon as they did. I really hope this business gets the professional work it needs.

I recently moved to fairfield, I have the pass to go to any gym, so I tried this in-​shape first as it was closest to my house. It’s supposedly newly remodeled, and I will agree that it is beautiful, but super confusing. It’s not easy to navigate at all, everything is closed off. On top of everything I have never had a pleasant experience. Of the three different females at the front desk when I’ve been, not a single one is friendly. I’ll drive the extra 5 minutes to the Dover location, where I don’t feel like an inconvenience for making someone do their job.

The man who helped me and gave me a tour of the gym was really rude to me. He didn’t even smile and made me feel like I’m a burden to show around the gym. Then at the end he didn’t even ask me if I was interested in joining.
I’m overweight I know this but for a member to tell me that I have to be motivated to work out and use the gym, well I KNOW THAT! I don’t think I will be joining In-​Shape at all even tho the facility was beautiful and close to where I live.

I signed up here a few months ago with my friend who was already a member. Then a few weeks ago my boyfriend signed up, I went with him so we could work out after. Well the guy I signed up with was nice, but I felt like I was haggling for a price. He «went to talk to his manager» three times. I was expecting the same ordeal for my boyfriend, but no. The girl who signed him up instantly gave him a great price, telling him to change his work place info to Six Flags so he could get some discount they offer for employees. So he is paying $ 10 less a month than me and gets unlimited gym access (can go to any location). When I told the girl my situation, she just said that I should have come to her. ._​_​. Well if I would have know that they can just charge however much they want per person I would not have joined here! Now I’m stuck for a year at place I feel I was taken advantage of. So beware when signing up!

So I usually go to In-​Shape in Suisun, but since its summertime, my gym of choice has been the In-​Shape here on Holiday Lane. The reason is simple, outdoor pool. Yeah indoor pools are nice and everything, but who doesn’t enjoy getting a tan while getting exercise? The outdoor pool area is very spacious. There are large cabanas, small cabanas for changing, tables and chairs, and nice lounge seats. And there is a hot tub, in case anyone was wondering. As far as the inside goes, there are two levels, with the weights taking up most of the lower level, and cardio equipment mostly on the upper level. There are also racquet ball rooms, which seems to be a big hit with many of the members. Unlike other In-​Shape gyms, you don’t have to bring your own racquet ball equipment, you can use theirs. The only thing I would change would be to add more parking, because sometimes during peak hours there are no parking spots available. Other than that, nice gym!

I only went there for 7 days while I had a free pass to check it out. The gym was recently remodeled and is beautiful. All equipment is brand new, everything is in perfect condition and there is a good selection of cardio equipment. Even the audio system works !
The staff is very friendly as well and I was glad they let me test the gym for 7 days which is a lot more generous and reasonable than the 2 days I got from 24hour fitness. They have an outdoor pool that is great too. The staff is friendly.
What I did not like was that the parking lot is too small. It can be hard finding a parking spot if you want to go there at peak time which is after work (afternoon/​evening on weekdays). Also, they have only two showers (at least the ladies) so don’t count on taking a shower there since you may have to wait in line, particularly if you want to take a shower around the time one of those classes end.
Still, I would have joined and paid their monthly fee which is about twice as high as 24h fitness since In Shape had no corporate discount for me. But they wanted me to sign a 3-​year contract and that is absolutely no option for me. First of all, like many people these days I don’t know that I will still have a job in this area a year from now. But also, I don’t know that InShape will keep the club nice and clean and fully functional. Once I sign a long-​term contract they can do whatever they want. Therefore, I disagree with their business model and joined a different gym. Even though aside from their long-​term contracts I must say this is the best gym in town.
