Established in 2011.

In 2011, the parents of a few Fairfield High School parents wanted to bring the great sport of fencing further into the community. With the help of a few friends and local coaches, the academy was born. Since it’s inception, FFA has developed numerous members into disciplined athletes and even sent some to Junior Olympics.

Meet the Manager

Jim R.

Manager

Jim has been fencing for nearly a decade in the Connecticut area. He was three-​time state champion at North Haven High School before moving on to fence at Sacred Heart University. In college he captained the men’s team for three years and lead the Pioneers to back-​to-​back NFC Championships in 2010 and 2011. He recently captured seventh place in the nation in Division II men’s foil. Jim is the head coach at Fairfield High School’s combined team.
