My previously famous mechanic decided to up and retire on me (HOW DARE HE!), so I had to go and find a new mechanic to help me. I didn’t want to go all the way down to Hell to find one, so I tried Unilocal first. And as usual, my fellow Unilocalers were right! I took my Optima down to Factoryspecific for its 60,000 mile service. They were prompt and I got great value, even though my Kia wasn’t one of the makes that they really specialize in.
I also asked them to check out a weird noise that was coming from the engine, which they did for me at no charge and told me where it was coming from. They explained how difficult (and costly) it would be to fix it even though it’s not really a problem, just an annoying noise. Because I’m still under warranty they recommended that I go down to Kia and make them fix it, even explaining what excuse Kia will likely give me to avoid fixing it and what my response to them should be. They could have raked me over the coals to fix my annoying noise, but instead armed me with the information I needed to get it done for free. I’ll definitely be back!

Several friends have recommended me to this company for work on my Toyota Matrix 2004. I was very impressed with their customer service and care. There is better performance in my car and I greatly appreciate their kindness and honesty!

We were referred to Factory Specific by our neighbor who has a lot of vehicles. Usually he does his own work, but when he is unable to take care of it, he only takes his vehicles to Factory Specific. We went there for our Subaru Legacy to get our timing belt changed, the radiator hoses replaced, the radiator flushed and an oil change. The price for all of that was the same amount if we had only done the timing belt only at the Subaru dealer and all parts replaced were OEM. We even received all the old parts back, as you should when dealing with your car. It’s been a long time where a mechanic took the time to really review everything about your car with the customer and I appreciate that greatly.
I had gotten there early to pick up my vehicle and I was sitting in the waiting area and was able to ease drop on a call with the mechanic and a customer on the telephone. The mechanic was very thorough in explaining the situation, what was fixed, what can be done in the future to prevent, why it happened and so forth. You go to Meineke or any other place, those guys just jam through fixing your vehicles and not take the time to discuss what was done. Factoryspecific takes the time with the mechanic and the customer to advise everything and that is important.
We currently take our Lexus and Subaru to Factoryspecific. They will give you pricing for OEM parts as well as after market parts. They don’t push you to make a decision right away if it’s a big job, they will make a point to monitor and say that on the invoice, give you the pricing when it’s really needs to be fixed. I really like the honesty when they are far too booked that day to take in your vehicle because it’s not about making money but doing the fix right the first time so you don’t have to come back to get it fixed again. Other places will just take your vehicle in to make the money and put things back in your vehicle in a half hazard manner but Factoryspecific does not do that. They value their work and value you as a customer and that is what is important.

So I took my 2006 Nissan Pathfinder into them for a overheat/​coolant leak issue. Made an appointment next day Friday and was given the run down on all what they found. Car has well over 150,000 miles. Not only did they find the pesky coolant leak but also a few other problems as well. They did everything in their power to help me save money on these costly repairs. Cutting labor costs and combining them with other service to bring the car back to factory specs.
So we agree on the price and Andy promised it wouldn’t go above that and in fact if he can save money on labor elsewhere he will. Was told that the car will be ready no later by next week Thursday. Why did I get a call Monday late evening telling me my car was ready? Not only are these guys great when it comes to helping you out but they do everything they can do get your car back as fast as they can.
We show up to pick up the car and Andy was great in showing us all the old parts and what was wrong with them. They where also able to save me another $ 100 and because they had to drain the AC they recharged it on their dime.
About the only complaint I have is the fan clutch is loud as hell. I sound like a semi driving down the block. This isn’t a problem with them because I decided to go with an aftermarket part to save money. Going to give it another month to see if it gets quieter if not I am going to have to foot the bill for a genuine Nissan part. Guess this is a common problem when using the afterrmarket fan clutches for my SUV.

Have taken my 05 Ford Escape here several times to get my oil changed, as well as other repairs such as oil pan replacement and brake inspections, and they are great!
Their prices are VERY reasonable for the quality of service you receive, and they are very honest and helpful in their explanation of any further servicing your vehicle may need. In fact, speaking for myself, I can say that they are the most honest shop I have ever been to. I cannot recommend them enough.

Been here before for some general maintenance and tune up and the last major event was replacing the radiator.
We’ve also had our 95 accord brakes and rotors serviced and their team here made it affordable. With captive rotors this is no small job but they did it perfect and it’s driving smooth again. THANK YOU SO MUCH!
Today we’re getting the transmission serviced and on this hot September morning, they’ve got the AC on super chill in the waiting room

I went to Unilocal to search for Honda auto mechanic because we just moved in the area and I wanted an honest shop that will take good care of our van just like the one we left in Southern California. They had good reviews so we decided to take it to them. This review is about 2 weeks after the problem is fixed. I just wanted to make sure. I would go back to them again for all problems with our van in the future.

Yesterday was the first time I took my car to Factory Specific. I took it there solely based on Unilocal reviews. The reviews were right!!! I got my ac pannel replaced, they installed a new battery (that I bought elsewhere) and they checked my check engine light. I made an appointment and was out of there in 1 hour. Not sure if they always require you to make an appointment but if they do I love it. I don’t have to leave my car overnight and rely on someone to pick me up and take me back because I know when they will be working on my car and how long it will take and I can wait there for my car to be done. They are also very reasonable with their fees. They don’t up charge you on work which is why I left my previous mechanic place (CME in Vacaville). They were honest with the time they took to fix something and charged accordingly not just went by their «pricing book» which is not accurate. I will be coming back to this place from now on.

I have been taking my cars to these guys for a few years. I think they are the best at what they do and they can really fix any honda/​Acura issues. Hands down the best honda shop in the Bay Area! For first timers do not pass these guys up they know what they are doing… if you own a Honda, Acura, Lexus then take it to this shop.

Overall good service and they only repaired what was needed and they did not over charged for the repairs. I would definitely come here for all my vehicle repairs.

If it wasn’t so far I would take my car here for an oil change even but any other major work I have taken it here and they’ve taken good care of me. They are awesome. Gene is on it. he’ll order the parts right away so your car can be seen as soon as possible and they are very thorough and super friendly. Andy or Khoi are experts and have walked me through what my car was going through. And they’ve also stayed after to wait for me to pick up my car since my job was so far. I refer anyone I know with car problems to them.

My Del Sol failed smog and I immediately called Factoryspecific to make an appointment. They replaced a couple items and fixed the timing on my distributor (that my cousin installed when I was out of town). My car passed smog with flying colors!

My son told me about this place after he was desperate looking for a good mechanic to fix his rare car. After searching online, he came across this place. He further read the reviews. It was voted as #1 automotive repair shop in Solano county so he went there. Since then he didn’t doubt about their job performance.
Now it was my turn to have my car done. I needed to pass the smog before registering my old car. They helped me solve one problem at a time. They did not even charge for diagnosing my car and they guaranteed me that if my engine light comes back on I can go back and have it checked again. These people were very detailed and they give you the explanation of what’s going on with your car. They will tell you what you really need and not add on to it. They are very honest and thorough with their work. I am so confident to have them as my new mechanic.
They are pretty reasonable and they give military discounts.

This is my first time getting my vehicle serviced here and I highly recommend this place to anyone that has any IMPORT VEHICLE. The staff that work here are friendly and helpful (Andy & Khoi). They always have a long line of customers coming in everyday. It’s best to reserve an appointment ahead of time.

We were on a long trip from the bay area and noticed some odd sounds and leaking coming from the passenger side of the engine. Being nowhere near home, we used Unilocal to find this shop. We walked in and they told us they were booked the entire day. We explained our problem, that we were out of town and just wanted to make sure we could complete our trip. Without skipping a beat, Khoi graciously took time out of his day to take a look at our car. He immediately identified our problem, pointed out where the leak was coming from, told us it was the A/​C, explained the issue and that we were good to go!

The shop in Dixon that I went to before was in transition (moving to a new location). I was a little overdue for an oil change and my A/​C wasn’t blowing cold. I found this shop via Unilocal *and* it was recommended to me by a couple of friends. So, I made an appointment.
They quoted me for the oil change and an A/​C inspection. I signed and they said they’d call once the inspection was complete. They called. Oil change done. Instead of the A/​C inspection, they actually had a Summer special on an A/​C service which accomplished the same thing but saved me some money!

This place gives the best service around. The only place that I would ever take my cars. A must if you are around the area. You will not be disappointed. The people that work there treat you like you are VIP! Awesome place. 2 thumbs up!

This place is awesome! Came here with my ’08 Acura TSX.
As a woman, I’m stereotyped and most places ATTEMPT to swindle me. It’s been to the point where they tell me that I need headlight fluid. Really? This place is reliable and ran by good, honest people. Khoi, the owner, only charges you for what you need.
The prices are super reasonable. Even dealerships are attempting to match his prices!
When you walk in, there’s a front desk, and a waiting room to the left. The waiting room is spacious and even has a children’s fixture to keep them entertained. They have a nice coffee bar with various flavors (Sumatra, hazelnut, morning roast, etc).
Great customer service. Normally, you get a group full of guys and they’re total dicks. Khoi and his team are super friendly and genuinely want to help you. They’ll always find the best option for you depending on your situation, efficiency, whatever.
