Had my kitchen, laundry room and bathroom tiled. My contractor was George, owner. I could not have been more please with his service — from the moment he wrote the estimate until the project was done, George was extremely professional, punctual and went above and beyond to meet my needs. I would recommend his services to anyone in the Bay Area looking for a clean, progressional tile installation. I will be using his company for all my future projects.

George Restivan from European Tile & Stone tore out our ugly old tile kitchen floor and installed a beautiful new one. He did a fantastic job, and his suggestions about grout, woodworking, transitions and other details were all spot on. He took care of every detail, and installed the tile in a custom brick pattern. We love the floor and it looks better than we had hoped it would. George was reliable, prompt and trustworthy. We felt very comfortable having him in our home this week. He was very communicative about what he was doing along the way and we are completely satisfied. He even did a couple of small additional jobs we asked him about in other rooms! If we need tile work done again, we would definitely want to work with George again.

George is such a talented artist in his field. He was clean, punctual, and respectful. He made it easy to live our everyday lives while he worked in our home. If you want the job done right and efficiently… choose George! You won’t be disappointed!

We did porcelain tile installation for our 190 sq ft kitchen in SSF. Our contractor was George Restivan from European American Tile and Stone(out of Fairfield) through Lowe’s. He was extremely courteous, friendly and always accessible for questions any time and open to suggestions that would best fit the situation. He and his team removed the old floor and moved the appliances, which was a tremendous help. He did a wonderful job in 2 – 3 days, and we will definitely request him again for our bathroom remodel. The first day with the removal of the old vinyl floor, George came with a couple of his assistants, but the last 2 days involving the fine detail work was just George. He puts up plastic to block the doorway to keep the rest of your house dust free, and the area is left very clean at the end of the day. He is a hardworking and dedicated gentleman, and the professionalism is very apparent. Lowe’s may send your paper work to a different /default flooring company they use for other types of jobs(carpet, hardwood), so please make sure to request him specifically for the stone and tile work you need. The workmanship was exceptional and worth every penny.

George Restivan did an outstanding job on floor tiles for my bathroom. He is professional, personal and worked within my timeframe to have plumbing work and wallpaper work coordinated with his job. In addition, he loaned me his baseboard nailer to finish my baseboards after his job was done. I’m impressed with his work and his price was more than fair. He is definitely a strong look if you have tile work that needs to be done.

George Restivan, the owner and installer at European American Tile & Stone Inc., is a top-notch contractor and someone that we would jump at the chance to work with again. George was assigned to our tile installation job in our master bathroom through Lowe’s, and he was the one bright spot throughout the whole project(see my earlier ho hum review of Lowe’s). George embodies everything you want in a contractor: He’s extremely professional and just comes in and gets the job done with no stress at all. In a matter of 5 – 6 hours, George transformed our bathroom with beautiful new tile, and left the area impeccably clean.(You would have never guessed that work had been done earlier in the day!) We especially appreciated his commitment to going above and beyond for his job. For example, when I offered to reschedule our installation day when I found out he was having surgery just a few days before, he insisted on trying to keep the original date, as long as he felt OK.(In the end, he ended up needing to push the installation out by a week, which was totally fine by us, given that he had just had surgery and all!) In another instance, George made himself available at 10:00 pm on a Friday night(given our crazy schedule) to go through all of our supplies via phone to make sure he could hit the ground running with the installation the next day. And when the installation was complete, he took the time to walk us through maintenance of the tile, how long it will take the tile to set, etc. He very patiently answered all of our questions, even after still being a bit woozy from the surgery the week before and after a hard day’s work. And should any issues arise, George offered to come back and address them promptly. Of course, because of his high-quality workmanship and attention to detail, there haven’t been any, and the tile looks fantastic. Ignore the fact that he’s based in Fairfield — George does work throughout the SF Bay Area, so if you’re in SF and have a bathroom that needs some tile TLC, give him a call. You’ll be glad that you did.
