We started out as Multi-​Lingual Software back in 1987. We invented a few technologies that are in use by all computers & devices that are in use today.

In 1997 we filed for a major patent in the AI field, then changed our name to OOPSystems Software

In 2004 We established our international operations in India, China, Korea, Lebanon & Venezuela.

We Created OOPSystems, Inc. To manage the entities.

We also introduced «BizOS» A Total Business Management Software Solution.

In 2007 we established ITForBiz to take over corporate IT services

In 2008 we Started Bits & Bytes Computers to fulfill the Network & Support needs of the Bay Area.

Business Owner

Alex Jarrah has worked in the Software Industry since 1977. He came to United States as a graduate student in Mathematics after completing his Undergraduate education in Mathematics and Business Administration in his native country of Lebanon.

Alex worked for Companies such as Microsoft, Adobe/​Aldus, Symantec, Borland, HP, Xerox, DirecTV and Apple. Alex held some of the highest technical offices in these as well as other companies.

Among Alex’ accolades:

*) helping found the Unicode Consortium, a ubiquitously adopted multi-​lingual text processing standard organization.

*) Acquiring the first FDA approval attained by Spacelabs Medical in over 12 years.

*) Linking the 32 international Offices of the largest Publishing House in the Middle-​East in an age before the internet was widely available (1984)

*) The invention of «OOPs» the natural language Interpretation Engine, which solved a decades old problem in Artificial Intelligence.

These guys are pretty spectacular. I just happened to find them on a hunch searching the internet and called to see if they did any soldering work. I needed a wire soldered on my A/​C panel out of my 02 Toyota Highlander and they delivered. The wire was super small and they made it look factory new and it worked like a charm after I put it back in my car. Will go to them again in a heartbeat.

My desktop from my college era has failed me and has been sitting in my closet for the last three years. I recently dug it up and tried to tinker with it in hopes resuscitate it but failed miserably. I bought this Photoshop software in college that costed me over $ 400 and I was desperate in figuring how to get it working again without having to buy a whole new computer, new software, or everything all over again.
I found Bit’s & Bytes Computer Services thank to Unilocal and I purchased a deal provided through Unilocal since I knew that this fix wasn’t necessarily a «quick fix.» I called on a Monday morning to get an estimate and was in the shop two hours later to drop of my tower. I believe I spoke to George (I may be wrong with his name) and he said they’d take a look and get back to me in three days. So the days go by, communication mix up (on my part), and a week and a half later I now have my tower back.
I’m waiting on my files and I’m having a problem correcting the resolution to my screen but the computer is solid.
I’ll update again when I get my files back.

Great service ! Took my desktop in and they were able to fix it in 5 mins. Turned out to be an easy fix and they seemed very knowledgeable and familiar with my computer. Very reassuring to have someone know how to work on computers. I will definitely come back. Very friendly and even showed me how to fix my problem if it happens again.

I sent my laptop to get the screen replaced a couple weeks ago and they said that it would take a least a week to get the parts for it to get it repaired. They said that they would call me to let me know when it will be repaired & two weeks later, I still haven’t received a phone call from them to see when it will be fixed or when I can pick it up.

Bits and bytes is the computer repair «sleeper cell» of your technological woes. I have been getting help from them since I made the leap into #MAClife about five years ago. The entire team is friendly, knowledgable and fluently speaks geek. Recently my battery reached its life span and then some, next went my hard drive :(. Needless to say I was roaming this earth in a fugue state without my laptop… Until the team started poking around and was able to get my little link to the world back up and running. Myself and my laptop are both alive and well and reconnected to the Skynet. Now big brother can resume monitoring thee onslaught of cat selfies I will be taking up make up for lost time.

Brought my laptop in 2013 after dropping it and breaking the charging port. They fixed it within days and the price was very reasonable. Once again I drop it and this time the screen is completely greyed out. They said they can probably fix it but if not at least they can retrieve my data. Happy customer!

So it all started with taking my computer to bestbuy. My computer was running super slow about a 1 month of purchasing it from bestbuy. Don’t get me wrong the computer was nice when it first came out of the box. but within a months time of using it about 5 – 8 hours a day. It went from taking a few seconds to load to taking 5 – 10 mins to boot up. So my first reaction was to take it back to where i got it.
I waited in line for about 20 — 30 mins. Once it was my turn the best buy geeksquad guy said that i had to check it in, and it could take 3 — 4 weeks. and would cost me 199.99 plus 99 for back up. I told them its new it doesn’t have anything worth backing up on it. I asked what does the 199.99 fee service include? The geek couldn’t tell me. He said its procedure to check in the computer before they figure out the problem. and to check it in I had to pay 199.99 plus tax…
I thought it was outrageous. 199.99 plus tax, with out even telling me what my problem was. Its a new computer its not like its ancient.
Anyways someone recommended that I bring my computer to Bits & Bytes. So i did. The guy there was super friendly and nice. With in 10 — 15 mins of being there he instantly found my problem. I had installed some kinda ad ware on my computer the loaded up with the computer every time and ate up about 70% of my
So not only did this guy talk to me on a personal level and actually figured out the problem he fixed it right away. and also set me up with the proper protection on my computer so it wouldn’t happen again.

Ever since then i have recommended this place to everyone i know and I always system resources. He instantly removed the ad ware, and only charged me $ 30 bucks for it. take all my computer/​electronic issues to this store hands down.

These guys are wizards with hardware and repair. I couldn’t be more happy with their work!
In addition to their hardware expertise, the cherry on top is that the staff is an absolute joy to work with, and they’re straight up and honest with your potential choices of repair. The staff are really funny and make their little shop more than just a store, it’s a family-​run business and it’s obvious that they want to help you understand your potential options before you bite the bullet.
I’d been debating buying a desktop computer capable of handling graphics-​editing software for school, and I found out that these guys were able to customize computer orders. The staff knew their hardware & software inside and out and working with them resulted in the building of a beast of a machine! Thanks B&B! You guys are the best.

I was looking up just a small part for my pc build online, and the closest place I could find with it in stock was in Concord. I thought to call this place, and sure enough they had it! PLACE SUCKS DO NOT GO HERE FOR ANYTHING
They have BBB accredited sticker on the wall, however the BBB website shows no BBB accreditation.
This place is a Joke. I brought my iPad in to repair because the volume button was stuck. It was dented where the buttons where, so that was obvious.
The lady who I dropped it off to at 1PM, tells me the tech will be in later this afternoon around 3PM. I asked her what time do they close, she says 9PM.
Just took my name and number for a qoute to fix it.
5PM and no call, so I call them, and the guy tells me the tech took it apart???
WTH, I only ask for a qoute…
He then tells me the tech will call me later, I asked him what time they close, and he said 6PM, WTH why did that lady tell me different???
So the next day, No call again…
I called them and the guy tells me, that the tech is working on it and will call me back.
Several hours later… Nothing
Once again I have to call them. The guy tells me the tech left, and that he will call him and then call me back, Yeah Right… No Call once again.
I wait until noon the next day (Day 4) and call them, I spoke to the guy again and he said the tech is not in WTH… Then decides to give me attitude about iPad and how long it takes to fix. Uh Hello, all I wanted was a price to fix it.
I go there and pick it up and the guess what… the Tech is playing video games instead of looking at the iPad…

I won’t go through all the issues I experienced here, I’ll just say, back up your data before you bring your computer here, because if the motherboard gets fried while they have it, they’ll want to charge you after the fact to retrieve the lost data.

This place is awesome. I had issues with my computer working very slowly so I brought it in. The guy I worked with was really cool and very thorough. He did a full diagnostic check on my computer and gave me several different suggestions on how to enhance performance and avoid certain issues. He was friendly and funny and I definitely felt like I was getting the full treatment. Not only did I get top notch treatment, it was affordable and the guy reminded me about the promotion. I have been back for a few different wires and iPhone issues and I will definitely return with any future computer problems.

My sister broke the screen on her iPhone over the past wknd. I was pleasantly surprised when I found out that there was a place in my hometown that fixes iPhones (Thanks Unilocal!). We had been driving all the way to Sacramento to fix our iPhones.
I arrived and to drop off my phone with Amar (no appt. necessary) who said it would only take an hour to replace and would cost $ 100 to replace the LCD screen. To me, that’s a pretty good deal instead of having to order parts online and figuring it out yourself OR buying another phone which could cost anywhere from $ 500-​$ 700 (No thanks!). I also talked to him about my lock button… it had stopped working a few months ago and I asked if he was able to fix it, he said yes but it’s a lengthy process. So I just asked him to sell me the piece (for $ 30) and I’ll have my husband do it (Hehe sorry babe!). All in all, I am satisfied with this place and pretty sure I’ll be back to fix my phone again someday.
