Bay Area Airstream gets high marks! Our experience with sales (Danny Villanueva) and service department has been great. When we did our walkthrough, they were patient, and took plenty of time with us. As we return to pick up or drop off our Flying Cloud, we are treated with respect, and learn something new each time.

RATED HIGHEST!!! All the staff at Bay Area Airstream are amazing and work so hard; a great experience I would highly recommend. The entire process was so easy, start to finish.
Ask for Daniel (Danny) Villanueva, very friendly, knowable and patient with my endless questions and concerns. Bobby Vyvlecka is the guy that helps work magic on the numbers. Between the two of them, a very smooth experience and now able to use 25′ Eddie-​Bauer (the last one!). I can’t say enough about them as being, easy to talk to, respectful, caring, very low key and open about accommodating my needs. At times, I would have a question or concern and I texted Danny off hours only to be surprised with answers or assurance he would search for the solution. Also, he makes a video walk through of the trailer and that helped a lot… I must have replayed that a dozen times.
The experience continued with an amazing team in the service department. Many questions and requests were taken care of professionally. Work was completed with focus to detail, within a good acceptable time-​frame and on budget. Both Chris and Josh appeared endlessly patient and continue to give their honest opinions to help solve and accommodated my needs. Steve (the general manager) took the time to get me a simple pin needed for the latch on the hookup on the trailer hitch, and that was around closing time.
Many thanks to my friends at Bay Area Airstream! I can’t wait to do dry camping this next year.

Apparently there must have been some fine print I missed, and now am finding out post-​purchase that I can’t take delivery of a small RV without first updating my driver’s license. Being from out of state in the middle of the holidays, this has not been convenient. Am I also required now to drive the thing once I do take delivery? What if it was a tag-​a-​long trailer? Do they require a current license for those? I have employed a driver in the past and I assume in the demographics served here that’s not uncommon. People in this demographic are more apt to be sued and so forth and may find driving to not be worth the liability compared to hiring a driver.
But they won’t let me take delivery with a driver. Wish I could tell you more about my experience or the new RV, but it isn’t really happening yet. Despite the sale having transpired.

Traveling thru Northern California, headed North, our LPG went out on our Airstream Interstate 3500. Though we had no appointment, nor could we leave our rig in for repairs, these guys took the time to identify the problem and make the necessary repairs while we waited! They were awesome, very helpful, very knowledgeable and empathetic to out situation. Thanks so much for getting us back on the road so quickly!!!
BTW…they also had an amazing selection of new Airstream’s! Will not hesitate to buy my next Airstream here!

We picked up our new Airstream today. We were very impressed with the Bay Area Airstream team, especially David Villalobos and Danny. We never felt rushed or pressured. David spent two very informative hours going over all aspects of our new trailer. He was never. condescending nor did he act like a know it all. He understood it was our first RV and treated our questions with the utmost respect. Danny was very helpful in the beginning of our RV purchase, listening carefully to our requirements, thus steering us to the perfect trailer. with all this said, we truly feel we made the right decision with Airstream. As a first time buyer/​owner, I was nervous about a bunch of things regarding my new-​to-​me Flying Cloud 25. Dave Villalobos, who did my multiple hour walk-​through today, took care of all of those and many more! Dave is an excellent resource for tips and suggestions, was generous with his time, was polite and patient while I tried to find the words to articulate my questions, and went over every system in the unit both inside and out in detail. Afterwards, I felt like I was equipped to handle everything, and had even started troubleshooting and weighing different options in my mind. Such a relief! And he did this all while being personable and humorous, and at the right pace for me to listen and digest, take notes and for my friend to videotape the tour. As a result, I feel more confident as I plan my Airstream adventures! Thanks, Dave!
Making this purchase was a long time coming, for me, and this place gave the right amount of follow up and support to make it happen. Hats off to everyone: from Kathie who spent a ton of time with me two years ago, before I was ready; Ed, who provided just the right amount of info and handling to help me take the leap now; Gregg, who clarified and sealed the deal; Danny, who gave me the AWESOME welcome basket today filled with lovely products and made me feel like a cherished customer; Jim, in parts, who said YES even after I had paid in full; and Dave who, along with his peers, put my trailer center stage, made it cleaner than my house and crossed all the t’s and dotted all the i’s in today’s walk through. Thanks everyone: I may have written the check, but you all made this happen!

What an awesome experience! My partner and I decided to buy a trailer. We thought about a pop up, a teardrop, or an Airstream. All of our rustic friends told us go with the Airstream: proven brand, great history, incredible product. So, we drove up to Fairfield, and within minutes of walking in and Airstream Sport I was won over!
Christina was a fantastic sales person. She answered all our questions, gave us a great deal of information and helped make us comfortable with our choice.
Two weeks later, we went to pick up Airstream, and found out that our car could not tow it. Long story short, the people at the Airstream dealership made it happen. They provided us a rental truck, so we could enjoy our first weekend away.
Everyone here was friendly, knowledgeable, helpful, practical and just as excited for us as we were for ourselves!

Five stars to Dave Villalobos in the service department at Bay Area Airstream Adventures. When we picked up our new 25′ Flying Cloud Airstream, Dave gave us our initial walk through and showed us how to operate everything from lowering the awnings to reading the solar monitor. We were impressed with Dave’s knowledge and professional demeanor. He patiently pointed out in detail how everything works and answered our seemingly endless list of questions.
And many thanks to William, who made sure our hitch and weight distribution setup was correct and safe.

They don’t work on commissions so they are not pushy, not aggressive and offer you plenty of options to chose from. They have produced 30 proud airstream owners last month (April 2015) and are eager to do it again by offering incredible deals to folks who wanted to own one. This is a great opportunity for ALL potential owners!
I went from a non-​airstream-​believer to a Flying Cloud owner within 3 weeks. We started with a cute little pre-​owned BAMBI with lots of upgrades (including solar panel) to a final selection of Flying Cloud. We opted to park our unit at their secured outdoor lot.
What was interesting was that while my family was there to make our selections, there were people coming from other states to buy Airstreams. If you have done your homework, you will know they price to sell. You must go and see what they have in the lot.
Like I said, it’s all about «SELECTION, SELECTION, AND MORE SELECTIONS!» If you can’t decide, you can always choose a regular model and upgrade as needed. Or see some of their pre-​owned units, the deals are just incredible now!
HERE IS THE RATING FROM MY EXPERIENCE:
(1) SERVICE (DANNY and BOBBY) *** 5 STARS *** Prepare to go in and ask any questions, he won’t give you the evil look. If he doesn’t know, he will find the answers for you. I don’t know how anyone can read up-​side-​down but BOBBY can. He is fast and ready to find the best deal for your buck! Great team work!
(2) LOCATION *** 4.5 STARS *** This is a bit distance out of our way but with Bay Area traffic, you just have to time it right to be on the road.
(3) PARTS AND SERVICES DEPT (CEDRIC) *** 5 STARS *** We haven’t had to complete any services for our new unit. But from the class we took as new airstream owners, we know they are in serious business. It was a one-​on-​one introduction class that went on for 3 hours. You will be asked to sign off a checklist at the end. I would suggest that you request the list first (or copy of the list) while your service rep goes through everything with you. We found out at the end but took plenty notes on our own.
(4) OVERALL EXPERIENCE *** 5 STARS *** No doubt this has been one of the most pleasant experiences we have had. This is a full service house. They do their own custom upgrade, their own services, etc. Everything is under the same roof.
(5) BONUS *** 5 STARS *** We found out they have truck rental available. This allows people to drive up, hook up and leave in no time.

Two days after writing my Unilocal review — I received an email from Kathie Roes at the airstream dealership. This is all it said
«Are you ready to order? It will be less money to order a new coach empty
then to take out everything & adjust it to your specifications.»
No apology for such a delay in reply to our conversation two months ago. No indepth info on what she said she was going to research.
Really poor service.

Even if you are strongly considering a different product, at least visit Bay Area Airstream before you pull the trigger. They have some very cool Airstreams including those Mercedies Airstream Sprinters. I bought one. I only delt with one person. Her name is Tracey Hale. As a high end business consultant for entreprenuers and start ups, I’m a very discrminating consumer and pay attention to every detail. Tracey is excellent. She is knowledgable but more importantly, a down to earth and nice person. Go there. I’d ask for Tracey Hale if I were you. You won’t regret it.

My husband and I had a very positive experience with Bay Area Airstream sales. This was our third travel trailer purchasing experience and was by far the most pleasant. We purchased a used non-​Airstream from them and they treated us as if we had purchased a new expensive Airstream! Everyone we encountered from sales to the service department were helpful and professional. Thank you Denise, Bobby V, Gary, and Ben. We will not hesitate to take our trailer there for any service. We are really enjoying our trailer!

They left several things not done and did not check my batteries in particular.

Hard to believe all those poor reports. Any way to verify real customers vs. online posers?
I had my trailer in for wheel bearing and brake work. I got an appointment and they completed the job faster than any of the shops in my area, I live in Concord.

BAAA has a good selection of Airstreams and makes purchasing a trailer easy, even for an out of state purchase like ours. But, once they’ve made the sale, their job is done. The delivery was full of problems and delays. I called a week ago with an electrical problem, and after sending pictures, sending follow emails, calling, I feel like I’m on my own to get this fixed. After spending $ 88k on a coach, I was expecting better service after the sale, but I guess the relationship is over… But they won’t care.

We just purchased a 2014 Airstream 23D from Bay Area Airstream Adventures and I cannot rave enough about the fantastic team of folks we worked with at BAAA.
First, our Sales Consultant, Tracey Hale was fantastic. Over the course of many, many months we toured a number of trailers at BAAA with Tracey’s expert guidance. Her demeanor is warm and focused. We always felt like we were spending time with a good friend who was sharing her joy of RV camping and love of Airstreams with us. We sat and talked about RVs, Airstreams, life in general and all sorts of topics as we toured the many trailers in their spacious showroom. During the colder visits, Tracey brought hand-​made scarves for us! As a result, the more we spent time socializing in the rigs, the more we could ‘picture’ ourselves actually owning one and enjoying it. Eventually we purchase the 23D with Tracey’s gentle guidance. Likely, we would not have purchased an Airstream had it not been for Tracey.
During the search process, Tracey introduced us to the other staff all of whom were warm and welcoming. I was a bit obsessive about making the right purchase and dropped by the showroom many times unannounced — sometimes even on Tracey’s day off. The other staff always welcomed me and showed me around. Arman and the other sales staff were fun and informative. We met Bobby V, the manager and he has the southern hospitality gene and was great, sharing lots of information and fruit snacks.
Once we made the purchase, the big day of the ‘training and walk-​thru’ came. Steel was our tech/​walk-​thru guide. He was fantastic. Details, details, details. He kept asking us if we had other questions (and we had tons) and he kept giving incredibly useful information hour after hour. Most folks would have burned out, but we’re (did I say) obsessive and Steel was great. The whole training was 3 – 4 hours. Steel informed us at the end that we’d certainly have more questions and encouraged us to return as often as necessary to ask more question and get support. Tracey and Bobby echoed this several times. We left with our new trailer and smiles on our faces.
The hitch that they provided us wasn’t the exact size we needed, but to get us on our way and testing out the trailer (and since they had to order the correct size) we took it home and knew we’d have to come back a week later to change it out.
A few days later (between Xmas and New Years) I called Bay Area Airstream Adverntures and asked for Darrell, in service. We’d met him briefly previously. I was told he was unavailable and the staff took a message. Here’s where I thought to myself, «All right let’s see what happens. Really? A message? I’m sure I’ll have to call back in an hour and nobody will remember that I called.» (This is so often the experience I have with things like this.) To my surprise, Darrell called back in about 15 minutes, remembered me, knew about the issue and said he’d call back after checking on the order. Again, I thought, sure… I’ll be I have to call back and check on this. Sure enough, in a few minutes he called me, assured me that the new hitch was on order and would be in the next day. Wow. That’s the way it’s supposed to work!
The next day, I arrived and was met by Darrell. He’s also warm and personable. He arranged Steel and another staff to install the new hitch. During this time, I mentioned to Steel that I though the circuit breaker for the microwave wasn’t working. Lickety split, he and the other technician quickly came out with a generator (were were too far from a power source in the yard) and hooked up the RV and tested the breaker. It worked fine and I felt foolish for causing all the commotion. They finished up and then Darrell and I went thru the trailer — very impromptu — and he gave me yet another training –sharing lots of do’s and don’ts that he’d learned over the years in the RV world and with Airstreams. Camping spots, etc. Darrell was yet another fantastic staff member.
Tracey, Steel, Darrell, Arman, Bobby V, the other staff, the woman in the parts dept (sorry I forgot her name), everyone is fantastic, professional and personable. I could not be happier. The location is great, the showroom and facilities are amazing and the product is… well… it’s an Airstream.
We went camping for four nights on the coast of Mendocino during the new years and the rig performed flawlessly and we tested everything!
I can tell you that I’m a very picky customer and I detest bad service and products and I LOVE great service and products. I LOVE these folks!
I cannot say enough about Bay Area Airstream Adventures, except, we’re so luck to have them so near. Besides the product, the dealer and service team make the difference and it’s great to have it all in one bundle right up highway 80.

I have a 2012 Air Stream Trailer that needs it’s annual service.
I have contacted this company a number of times to request service, as well as a service date. It’s as if they don’t want you business. The sad part is this company is the first one Air Stream lists on it’s website when looking for service in the area.
If anyone has a good alternative, please let me know.

Not recommended.
I have tried to set up appointments, get information regarding storage, or inquire about a new battery. Over a 3 week period I called 3 times and each and every time was greeted with enthusiasm and we’ll have someone call you right back. Never happened.
Don’t bother wasting your time — go to Gilroy, Santa Rosa or Los Banos instead. They at least are interested in trying to get your business.

My wife and I purchased a new 27-​foot international signature trailer last week and have nothing but wonderful things to say about Skylar and Kathie and all the staff we encountered. We are in our early-​30s and they never treated us like young kids just looking around. They took the time to answer every question, even calling on their personal time. That’s service! It was a pleasure to go over all the pricing and Skylar was so thorough. I highly recommend checking this place out. Oh yeah … the trailers are cool, too!
