Specialties
With nearly 30 years of experience, WKTV is the oldest and première cable television broadcaster of Korean content in the United States.
The Washington DC DMA is the 3rd largest city of Koreans in the United States. Our service in Maryland also ranks as the 13th largest.
Popularity of WKTV based on locally produced programs and highest-rated content from Korea (8 of top 11 shows). Our dozen local programs distinguish us from a turnkey satellite operation, where Korean programs are simply broadcast on a delay with no local content, no breaking news stories, and no community interest. Unlike other Korean broadcasters, we are not leased access or solely a premium service offered a-la-carte.
WKTV broadcasts as a Digital («D1») service through Cox Communications in Fairfax, VA. Comcast Cable is our partner for Maryland. Ads purchased directly through the Virginia office broadcasts throughout the Washington DC DMA, including Baltimore & Montgomery County Maryland DMA.
WKTV will be growing with our local Korean community by delivering most accurate and updated news and local information, and by differentiating our content to meet our evolving Korean American community characteristic and its needs. Our newly produced local programs and high quality KBS, MBC, EBS, NEWS Y, MBN, ARIRANG content will continuously appeal to our Korean viewers and increase local community participation and engagement.
