History

Established in 1994.

Founded in 1994, The Boyd School began as a Montessori school in the basement of a church in Reston, Virginia. The school has grown from its two classroom, 45 student beginnings, to five school campuses serving children and families in Reston, Chantilly, Fairfax, Broadlands and Aldie.

The Boyd School is fully accredited by the American Montessori Society and the Southern Association of Colleges and Schools Council on Accreditation and School Improvement. The school is licensed by the Virginia Department of Social Services and is owned and operated by The Boyd School Corporation.
