History

Established in 1971.

Sunshine Bicycle Center has a long history of serving local cyclists needs, from the early days of mountain biking in Marin to now. From the days of Repack and Klunkerz to the days of lighter than air carbon which we’re now seeing.

Owner/​chief wrench Martin Hansen began at Sunshine as a teenager and eventually bought the business. Gary Fisher worked at Sunshine in the early days, and many notable names in cycling have worked here or been longtime customers. Just as important are all our regular customers young and old, whatever their flavor of cycling.

We have always stayed on top of the best brands of bikes, components and accessories and strive to be both cutting edge and have deep understanding and access to classic cycles and components. We always have been a «best of all worlds» shop.
