The ladies here are extremely welcoming and Pssssst ask for the off-menu Bulgogi Sub!!! OoooooohMyyyyyyyyy! Not an adventurist? The California Chicken Sub is a yummy fresh sub that keeps America happy and strong. Special includes crisp fries and a drink. «Blue Collar Goodness» Interesting that Auto Stop and Sub Stop(not related) are outstanding businesses.

Great locally owned stop. The staff is always super nice and fast. Place is in a weird spot but super clean. Great spot for breakfast. All items are decently priced. A must try if in area for a quick, decent priced, and above all else good breakfast.

Love this place. Used to work in merrifield and went here almost everyday. Now that I work else where I stop here from time to time and it does not disappoint! The turkey club is my favorite. The cashier and cooks are very nice!

The appearance of this place had put me off of it for sometime. It does not get any better when walking in, but once over looking the appearance there food is awesome. Steak and cheese and some chips is the best I have had in a while. They make there omelets right in front of you and the soup is homemade. To top it off try there baked goods at the check out!

A goto in Merrifield. The sandwiches are great and staff friendly. I took one star off for the dated, worn and sometimes dirty tables/booths. The bathrooms also leave a lot to be desired. Even going in to wash my hands is scary. But i can always count on an excellent steak and cheese or breakfast platter here. Sometimes the tv is on a Korean channel, but they switch it back to price is right or news when I sit down facing it.

I have been coming to Sub Stop off and on over the last 5 years and will say as far as your typical deli shop goes, it is in my top 3 for the Merrifield area. The place is a deli counter, go up, order, pay, wait to be called. They have a small buffet of food that I cannot comment on because I am a sandwich guy and would never dream of ordering anything but. There is also an assortment of chips, candy, baked goods(the blondie bar is yummy) and fruit to compliment the meal. Beverages are fountain(coke) soda, coffee and mix of bottled items including tea and energy drinks. There is always a special of the day which includes a particular hot sub, fries and drink for $ 9. My favorite go-to is the California Chicken. Chicken breast with provolone cheese, bacon, avocado, lettuce, tomato, mayo and sprouts stuffed inside a wheat pita. It typically comes on a sub roll which is good too, but I like the pita since you taste more of the food content and less bread. If youre in the area, come by for a quick lunch, bring your coworkers. The ladies that work the counter are super nice and will serve you up a great lunch at a decent price.

Why did I build my hopes up for a sandwich joint located in the industrial heart of «lovely» Merrifield? I’m not quite sure, but I do know that my dreams were shattered upon entry. If you work downtown, the scene before you is one that is all too familiar in this city. A Korean«food by the pound» place with Chinese favorites and a sandwich board containing familiar sandwiches given confusing names. The only positive note of the whole experience was that I did not see any sandwiches named after streets or places in NY. There really is nothing worse than having to order a Chelsea Pier to get a PB&J.
