Business Owner

I come from a long line of photographers! My father was a huge photo enthusiast, and my grandfather was a photo retoucher. I remember when I was a kid, my dad set up a temporary darkroom in our laundry room and I thought it was so magical to watch the images slowly appear in the tray full of chemicals.

I knew I had to be a photographer. It was the only passion I had ever really had. Though I studied and graduated with a degree in photojournalism, it was clear that my skills were in portrait photography. I finished up my degree from SFSU and immediately began my career as a portrait photographer.

I started out working from my home and realized that I wanted to run a studio. I partnered up and opened a studio at Redhill in San Anselmo, but then went out on my own and opened up Creative Portraiture in Fairfax, where I have been part of the community since 2000.
