Let’s just say that I love coming here !!

Went here in April this year after my insurance changed. They confirmed over the phone accepting my insurance. The day of the appointment, I arrived at the office, which is very clean and nicely decorated. I was taken to the back and it went downhill from there. I was there for a routine cleaning, but unfortunately the patient before me was new to this country and had not had dental care in a number of years. I knew this because I could hear the entire exchange between her and Dr.Ngo. Long story short, she required gum work and had to have several teeth removed. Unfortunately, this was happening while I was waiting for my cleaning. After 3 HOURS, I left still fairly satisfied, even after being told I had 9 cavities, and being repeatedly asked if I drink soda (I don’t). Fast forward 7 months, and I return to my old dentist since he now takes my insurance, who tells me I have NOT met my deductible for the year. I tell him about Dr. Ngo’s visit, and his biller looks into it. My deductible was not met because Dr. Ngo’s office does not take my insurance after all! I went back to review my EOB and, sure enough, my responsible part was $ 220. The funny thing is I NEVER received a bill. I called immediately, worrying that it had been sent to collections. I was «reassured» they do not send bills to collections until they are more than a year old. That made me feel so much better (sarcasm intended). They would have never sent me a bill unless I contacted them first, and what’s worse is they could not give me a reason as to why a bill was never generated. Oh, and to top it off. At my recent dental check up, my old dentist reported I have ZERO cavities.

This place is very expensive: hence the 4 stars.
However, it is amazing!!! The doctors there are wonderful, caring, and very knowledgeable. They will actually remember you and things about you when you go back after your first visit. They are genuine and kind, gentle, and understanding of your pain or needs.
They also accommodate you on the schedule the best way they can. I would recommend to call 1 – 2 weeks ahead to get your appointment. Waiting time isn’t very long at all. They actually do respect your appointment time unlike other offices. They are great and I would highly recommend them to everyone with dental needs.

This is definitely the best dentist I have ever met. Not only does he do good work, it is obvious he cares about his patients.
I just recently had a wisdom tooth taken out by Dr. Ngo. Before I knew it, the tooth was out. I didn’t even know he had gotten started. A look to the left, and the tooth was already on the tray. Impressive.
A+ all around.

Dr. Ngo is the best VA has to offer. If only ‘Gentle Dental’ hadn’t been taken already, the trade name would’ve fit this practice like a glove.
[ATMOSPHERE]: Unlike other dental offices that make you feel like you’re in a Home Depot, all the drilling noises and all, this office sets a calm environment. Here: enjoy yourself a back massage in the massage chairs and t.v. individually equipped at each station. Don’t like the bright light from the lamp? Don’t worry, they have sunglasses for that.

–Dr. Ngo is brilliant and passionate about his work and the experience is painless.

–I love that he lays everything on the table. The patient teaching towards the end is always thorough and backed-​up with X-​rays, and he explains possible options to carry forward without acting pushy like an annoying salesman.

We moved to this area at the end of 2013. Because we didn’t know anyone well enough at the time to ask for a referral, as a last resort, I did a Google search to find a dentist. Dr. Ngo had received several excellent Google reviews, so I decided to give him a try. I’d also like to state that I’ve had prior negative experiences with Dentists in the past, so I’m always leery when trying someone new (regardless of reviews). Very much to my relief, Dr. Ngo has lived up to every positive review I have ever read about him and his office. So much so, that I decided to write my own. He has been an excellent dentist who we now entrust with the dental care of our whole family. My favorite thing about Dr. Ngo, which I’ve also shared with him, is the way he communicates with you throughout a procedure or exam. It’s difficult, if not impossible, to speak when your in the chair. But he is excellent at communicating with you so that you are informed about what he’s doing every step of the way. You never have to wonder what’s going on or what he’s going to do next. He’s also very sensitive to queues regarding your comfort level during a procedure. And he is very patient at answering any questions I’ve had about any aspect of what he’s communicated. Probably most importantly, he is honest. And I have never felt that he has recommended treatment that was not necessary for myself or anyone in my family. He’s also great with kids! Both of mine have never had any reservations about seeing him (and they love being able to pick something out of his treasure box, which is well stocked with some pretty cool stuff). All of this, and I haven’t yet mentioned that he also appears to be up to speed on the latest tools and technology of the trade. In short, he is a really great dentist. I feel like we really lucked out by finding him the way we did. Hopefully this (and all other) reviews will reassure someone else who might be in the same boat we were in, that he’d be a great choice for the whole family.

If you are going to any other dental office for your dental needs… you’re doing it wrong. This place is the absolute pinnacle of dentistry. Dr. Ngo and staff are extremely knowledgeable, professional, and friendly.

When I say that this is hands down the best dentist who ever messed with my teeth and mouth I promise you!!! The staff is ALWAYS nice and pleasant. Dr. Ngo explains every little facet of what he’s going to be doing to you and how it will work. They show you x-​rays, pictures of your mouth in color on T.V. screens so you can see that they are pulling your leg… I went here on a whim because I was having pain from my teeth clenching best decision EVER… When I have had work done I didn’t even feel the needle or anything just amazing!!!

I had a great experience at Smiles 4 Fairfax. It was my first appointment with them and while I was nervous when I got there (my standard feeling when I go to the dentist), that quickly went away when I was ushered to the back.
The staff was very professional and courteous. Dr. Ngo was fantastic. He walked me through the process and did not speak to me like I was a 5 year old. In my experience, most dentists are incredibly condescending. Dr. Ngo was anything but.
Bonus — each chair has a TV. Helps take your mind off of the actual dental work.
I enjoyed that the practice is small and quiet. My last dentist was a cattle call — a billion patients and even more staff.
I will definitely be going back and will let my friends know.

I can’t say enough good things about Dr. Ngo and this office. The expertise and level of friendly professionalism are obvious from the start. I had a cavity filled at another practice a year before going to Dr. Ngo. I always just assumed that it was never going to feel right. Dr. Ngo not only took the time to explain what was wrong but extra care to make sure he fixed it the right way. That’s the way he approaches everything. They take the time to explain their recommendations and the process and follow through with exceptional results. And you get to lay back and watch tv while they do all the work.

This is a professional dental practice. Dr. Ngo will goes over with you how your teeth look like on the color X-​ray images. He will explains to you very detail on how he’ll treat your teeth and recommendation. Dr. Ngo and staff are very caring. They will measure your blood pressure, heart rate, and saturation oxygen on your visit. Yes, they do it.
I have several filling and I don’t experience post-​trauma symptoms as I had with my previous dentist. I don’t experience any soreness inside my cheek; Dr. Ngo uses a thin protective layer to protect the inner cheek tissue. I don’t have uneven bite because Dr. Ngo takes time to correct the bite. When he asks you to «tap, tap, and squeeze your teeth together», it means he is creating groves on the surface of your teeth and balancing your bite. I don’t even know that I just have dental filling!!! I can enjoy my food after the numbness is gone.
I don’t feel rush or pressure when I go to have dental care. Ah, they rub a numbing gel prior needle insertion. You won’t feel pain, just a slight pressure.
The waiting is less than 10 mins. Make sure you give yourself 10 – 15 mins to fill out paperwork on your first visit.
This is the best dentist place that your teeth deserve.

I love Dr. Ngo and his staff! They are so friendly and care so much about each patient. The office is very nice and new, with the latest technology and is set up to make the patient very comfortable. It is helpful to be able to zone out to HGTV (or whatever you like) while you have a procedure done.
Dr. Ngo is very careful to ensure your comfort and health. He explains procedures well and I like that he has a phased approach to your dental health plan so you understand priorities and what your investment may be. I have had a root canal in a molar and crown done that I have been incredibly happy with, no discomfort or issues at all. I have also had several old fillings replaced that are now much more comfortable than they ever were. I have recommended him to others and they also have been very happy. I’m so glad I found this office!

Dr. Ngo and his staff are extremely professional. He explains everything in detail and is direct to the point. He does not sugar-​coat things and will tell you exactly what you need without being pushy. I really appreciate the fact that he does not rush during his appointments and makes sure his patients understand their treatment.
Dr. Ngo and his staff are like family. They will do everything to make your visit comfortable. The office is very clean and has the most up to date technology. I love the massage chair and flatscreen tv. Ahhh, now I actually enjoy going to the dentist — but only Smiles 4 Fairfax. Dr. Ngo and his staff take excellent care of their patients.

Dr. Ngo is a fantastic dentist. He is very detail oriented, explains every step he is going to take and why. His work is excellent.
I am a visual person. When he showed me the pics he took of my teeth, I was jarred into reality. From that day forth, flossing has become a part of my daily routine.

I hadn’t been to any dentist in a while, due to bad experiences, but when I read some of Dr. Ngo’s reviews, I decided to give it a try. I was beyond impressed! The office is staff is extremely friendly, always greeting you by name and with a smile. When you show up for your appointment, you are back to see the doctor within minutes. Dr. Ngo is excellent. he takes all the time necessary for a thorough exam and will answer any and all questions. He actually does the cleanings and gets to know you and your teeth!

I have been trying to find a good dentist around the area after college and Dr. Ngo and staff are the best so far! 5 –stars for using most advanced technology in the practice, they are fully electronic in terms of records, x-​ray, billing system, etc. 5-​stars for the welcoming and helpful staff, they even let me choose mouth wash flavors :) 5-​stars for the experienced and personable doctor.
I had my wisdom teeth extraction done there 5 months ago, which is a procedure my previous dentist had to refer me out for. It went smoothly and I have had absolutely no issues after the procedure. I also had a previous filling that was incorrectly done and causing pain every time I eat. He fixed that too and no problem since.
Very happy being a patient there and worth the extra 5 – 10 miles.

Nobody likes going to the dentist. If you were to poll 100 people about the one appointment they hate having to go to the most, I’m sure seeing the dentist would be at the top of the list.
Smiles 4 Fairfax and Dr. Ngo help to rid all of that. Dr. Ngo is extremely professional in the way he deals with his patients. He uses the newest and most up to date technology in a state of the art facility to diagnose his patients and provide caring dental work. He also proves that smiles are contagious.
On top of all that, Smiles 4 Fairfax is located right in the heart of Fairfax a stone’s throw away from Fairfax Corner. The office is heavily involved with the community providing Family and Comprehensive Dentistry. If you’re looking for local Fairfax dentistry, you won’t be disappointed by this great Fairfax dentist.
