We just had our roof done by NuLook (Fairfax) and I must say, after much, much skepticism, it turned out very nice. Yeah the door sale solicitation and main sales pitch were very agressive, and we had the same experience as many have said here or on other Unilocal reviews. My advice: Be prepared for that, get other quotes first and expect the sales pitch to go much longer than the advertised 45 minutes. They will work you (they are good salespeople). After we forked over a check for ¹⁄₃ cost, I started reading Unilocal reviews and started having very serious doubts. But we were ‘in the family’ now, and had to ride it out. Several weeks later and still shopping around, as I’m having buyers remorse still, the dates finally arrive. We were expecting a huge material load in our driveway delivery day. I come home and there’s nothing and I’m not sure what to make of this Come to find out they had very neatly put everything up on the roof. Didn’t even know it was there! Inventory looked correct, so I’m starting to warm up at this point. Install day next day was Insane! Something like 12 guys show up and are all over the place, but they got right to work. The whole day was tense though as storms were coming, and it was supposed to be a 2 day job. I’m still not comfortable yet. Then the storms hit, and really hard, around 6pm, and they were nowhere near finished. Fortunately most of the roof was protected, and what little exposure there was they covered just fine But now we’ve got a huge, ugly mess all over the place, and they’re not coming back until later the next day. So I’m still very skeptical of the overall job. They finally arrive mid afternoon next day — and it’s just 4 guys! I’m expecting more to show up any minute, but nope, it was just the 4. But those dudes ‘Crushed It!’ They finished every little detail, really touched everything up nicely, and cleaned up very thoroughly. And it looks perfect! We now have the most beautiful roof in the land. So if you get sold on them, you’ll get your money’s worth. The quality of roof we did get probably would have cost a lot more in most cases, so in the end I think we got a great deal. And after all that mess, we’ve barely found any nails or roof pieces laying around. Very pleased!
