I would like to compliment Lamp and Lighting Gallery for the superb job in repairing an antique lamp that dates to the early 20^th century. It had developed a stability problem as the harp bottom basically disconnected from the neck of the lamp. It had always been top heavy. The people at the shop corrected this problem and more by securely attaching the harp to the lamp base. They also inserted a weight at the lamp base making it more balanced and no longer top heavy. The lamp was rewired, also. The lamp should give us years more service and the risk of toppling over should be gone as well. I would give this shop more stars if possible. Wonderful shop.

My wife and I have been patronizing this place for years — we must have at least 15 – 20 lamps, fixtures, etc., that we bought there. The shop always has a really great selection of different types and styles; owner (?) Frank provides great advice and is willing to order whatever you need. We have also had repairs done here (wiring and shades); they do excellent work with quick turnaround.

What a great place to shop for a variety of lamps, bulbs, and anything related to lighting. Big enough to carry a robust inventory, small enough to give personal service. Their repair shop is just great. They use top-​shelf Leviton parts for their repairs, not that cheap plastic garbage so common these days. Odd that this gem of a store sits in a nondescript strip mall, but don’t let that scare you away. Take advantage of that huge parking lot and check it out.

I went to this store based on Unilocal reviews and they were accurate! Great selection and excellent personal service in my selection of new lights and ceiling fan. I brought old lamps to be refurbished and they took care of me and them. They are beautiful. One was a standing brass lamp that is now gorgeous with its new finish and lampshades. Reasonably priced and excellent customer service. Highly recommend!

Like the kind of specialty or hardware store you remember, where you see the same people and they listen one-​on-​one. I’m not sure if it was Oscar or Frank helping me, but he was extremely friendly & helpful. He was creative in finding a way to fix my lamp, where others might have said it couldn’t be fixed. for $ 20. It looks great. They sell retail; can make a lamp out of just about any object you might have; and I highly recommend them for repairs!

In the era of amazon and other low priced online options, sometimes you forget how nice it is to talk and deal with a HUMAN BEING. Someone with expertise of what you’re looking for and can give you great advice. Best of all they even price-​matched the online prices I saw on amazon so there was literally no reason to buy online. WIN-​WIN!
Coming in here and talking with Frank was like a breath of fresh air. He was so incredibly helpful and patient. I was searching and reading about undercabinet lighting (specifically LED lighting) and it was really rough sledding to find much information onilne or even be able to see the lights in person. (i had checked out some kitchen stores and other stores) Frank was very knowledgeable about the lights, had some suggestions on how many would be appropriate and even took the time to sit down and compare some different options to see which was cheapest and most effective. You never got the idea he was trying to up-​sell or looking out for his own interests.
I ended up going with lights from wac lighting which he ordered for me and they arrived within the week. The lights are much higher quality than what you would typically find in home depot or lowes and being in the store reminded you of the difference between a specialty store vs a big box store. I wasted so much time walking around those big box stores or getting poor information, I only wish I had came in here sooner.
Highly recommend, especially with the price matching, you can find what you want faster and for the same price as online anyways.

Frank and Oscar were incredibly helpful and went out of their way to assist with a missing lamp part. The service and prices were wonderful. I highly recommend them and would definitely use them again.

I walked in with three broken lamps, two of which I could have thrown away because the parts were so cheap but when I walked out, I has three «custom» made lamps with quality parts which will last for years and years.
Selection of lamps, floor lamps, outdoor lighting is extensive (floor samples are tiny bit of what they can offer). Better to come here for reasonably priced lighting that is unique versus going to huge big box stores and getting what ever other Lemming is installing.

Just like another reviewer has said, if I could give this business 6 or 7 stars, I would! Frank, the owner, helped us out of a tight spot with a caring attitude, exceptional knowledge of his products and a willingness to order our products in a rush. We will return here for all our lighting needs! He has earned our loyalty many times over.

Went into Lamp & Lighting Gallery today searching for a chandelier for my dining room. Didn’t know the name of the distributor of the chandelier, but they let me borrow their iPad and their phone to get as much information as I could about the light to see if they could help me locate it. They let me look through their catalogs to see if we could find something as similar as possible. I ended up not buying anything because they just didn’t have exactly what I was looking for but honestly– they couldn’t have been more helpful and pleasant to deal with. They even made me a printout of the chandelier and suggested I take it around to other stores in hopes of finding someone who would recognize it and could order it for me. Will definitely be back when looking for a light fixture again!

Great service and I highly recommend. Frank, who I believe is the owner, is the best in the lighting business and I will go back for all our lighting and lightbulb needs. He answers questions, remembers customers and makes great suggestions. We got a series of Hubbardton Forge lamps & sconces from Lamp & Lighting this fall and had issues with the contractors breaking several of the glass covers, one easy phone call to Frank and all was easily taken care of. Great selection and ask questions, Frank knows the answers and if he doesn’t he calls the manufacturer!

Great selection, variety of lamps and fixtures. We’ve purchased our dining room chandelier, bathroom lighting and various lamps from here. Competitive prices, great customer service. Not to mention the owner is very courteous and so helpful. He’s very honest and gives good advice. We highly recommend this place, as they have every style you can think of!

I have a beautiful antique crystal French, Empire-​style chandelier, and it needed re-​wiring because over time a few of the light sockets stopped working, and it was missing a few of the candlestick covers.
Due to the excellent reviews on here, I took it to Lamp and Lighting Gallery, and they re-​wired the chandelier and replaced the candlestick covers. The chandelier has six light sockets, and they did a good job. What impressed me the most was how nice and professional and courteous they are, and they completed the repairs in one day. I dropped it off on Friday and they called on Saturday to tell me the repairs had been completed.
I have a few lamps and other light fixtures that need fixing, so I’ll be taking those items to their store because they did such a quick and conscientious job on my chandelier.

I had a 1920’s lamp (dual bulb) rewired for $ 70. It was a bit expensive, but the job was done quick and correctly. After dropping it off it was the next day when they called with an estimate and were completed two days afterwards. The service in the store is very good.

If I could give 6 or 7 stars, I would. I had an extremely good experience with this business.
I purchased a very cheap vintage lamp at a thrift store with some loose wiring around the harness. I was assuming it would not be safe to use that way so I took it here based on the two other 5 star reviews here on Unilocal and I’m so glad I did.
The two guys working there took a look at it and suggested replacing the brass part that holds the lightbulb with a new three-​way switch, but not the cord, which they said was in good shape, on the (correct) assumption that I didn’t want to put a ton of money into it. They charged me $ 25 and did the work overnight.
They were so friendly, personable and reasonable! If I ever need anything to do with lamps ever again, this will most definitely be my first stop. Don’t bother going anywhere else.

Lots of options and reasonable price range. Good quality. People at the store were very helpful and knowledgeable. Highly recommend.

After all of the epic fails I experienced this past week — attempting to look at — and learn about — under-​cabinet LED light fixtures, it suddenly dawned on me that I should check with the Lamp & Lighting Gallery in Fairfax. After all, I had purchased a number of table and floor lamps there, got a lamp repaired, and received outstanding service from Frank and his staff.
So I called ahead — asked if they carried under-​cabinet LED light fixtures? Yes, come on in!
Frank recognized me and I told him what I wanted — he took me over to their LED display — and I might add, mounted in such a way that I did not have to crane my neck to look under low counters and such. Frank carries WAC Lighting products as far as under-​cabinet LEDs are concerned.
He likes them a lot, spent some time advising me on them, and he was able to authoritatively answer all of my questions about installation, configuration, and more.
This experience has been in stark contrast to my experiences at Lowe’s, The Home Depot, Ferguson, Dominion Electric and Burgess Lighting — all of which have earned the grade of EPIC FAIL when it comes to LED lighting.
