We bid on a $ 1000 gift certificate to Lubin Portraits at a charity event. The picture session was fine (though he is a bit tense with active children) and we got some great pics. Then after picking out our favorite pic, he let us know that $ 1000 didn’t cover anything that he sold, We would need to add AT LEAST 2 thousand dollars to get a portrait and of course it would need to be framed by him (adding several hundred dollars). He didn’t even know of the charity where I got the certificate; and clearly this was a business scam. He gets you in the door, shows you the pretty pics, takes hours of your day and then you find out this will cost thousands. Like a fool, I got the portrait. It is very pretty, but people generally pass by it in my house and focus on some other beautiful portraits that cost a fraction of Lubin’s cost. When I called my friend to complain about this situation, she told me that she had the same exact experience with this man. She won a certificate at a different charity event and ended up feeling just as tricked and manipulated as I did! I’m shocked that he gets away with this!

We received a gift certificate from a friend for a portrait. We met with Jeff and felt comfortable about the experience. The photo shoot was a lot of fun. Unfortunately, when we met to choose which photo to use, we were only shown about eight poses to choose from. We also felt pressured to apply our certificate to a larger picture, which we did not want. We also did not get to see the picture after he doctored it and before it went to final printing. While my husband looks terrific, I look lifeless. I have shown it to several friends, as well as a picture I had a neighbor take of us later that same day. They are stunned. Several people say I should replace it with the photo my neighbor took. Glad we only paid for the frame.

Cannot be more happy with our family photos. Jeff knows what he is doing and having a major in photography, I know what I’m talking about. Worth every penny!!! Thanks Jeff and team!

Jeff’s work made my wife, mother and mother-​in-​law cry because it’s so beautiful. He has a way of capturing you or your child in a way that you maybe see once in a while, and never when you have a camera. He has an old-​school way of treating people right. Guarantees all his work for the lifetime of your portrait. Just an amazingly caring and talented guy.
