I have been going to Dr. Bezik for 10+ years after my general dentist recommended I needed a periodontist due to gum issues. Dr. Bezik and her staff are great and highly professional. I highly recommend!

This place is totally rip-​off. They bill very aggressive to the insurance company. I went for regular cleaning but billed for deep root clean and send me a bill after 6 months. They will recommend procedure that is not required. Stay away from this crooks.

I was referred by my dentist to see Dr. Bezik. I thought all dentists were the same, but I guess they’re not. I really have such a fear of anyone sticking sharp metal instruments in my mouth it’s hard to give her 5 stars, when really does anyone want to rate their dentist over 4? I give her the extra start because she’s a specialist.

Better than any Dentist!
Dr. Bezik is a Periodontal Surgeon — that is she specializes in diseases of the gums and does deep scaling, bone rebuilding and implant surgery. She is about the best around for these services and she really knows what she’s doing! She did perio surgery on my two lower quadrants as my teeth were loose (some had been extracted earlier) and I wanted to save them. Dr Bezik did a surgical procedure, cutting and peeling away my gums, replaced bone underneath, removed all the tarter and calcification as well as bacteria, and stitched me back up again. I had no pain throughout the procedure and none afterwards, which I thought was incredible! My teeth are now tight and I’ve had no trouble with them since. That was 3 ½ years ago. Also, my gums are tightly attached to my teeth with no pockets.
Dr. Bezik saved my teeth and I will always be grateful for her care and expertise. Prior to seeing her Dentists advised extractions as they had no way to save the actual teeth. That would have resulted in Bridges or Dentures, which are a poor replacement for real teeth. Dr Bezik believes in resolving the problem and doing everything possible to save the original teeth, and she has specialist training to do that. She is in a class by herself!

Found this place through groupon. They broke two of teeth and refused to do anything about it. Stay away from this place! Package deal cost me $ 69 for whitening and cleaning. Apparently they wouldn’t do that 20 min whitening due to some cavities. Also, They’ll push you to get something you don’t need to get just so they can hit their profit! I regret so much going to this place. However, Very friendly receptionist. That’s about it for this place.

I called 15 minutes prior my appointment time that I would be running 15mins late, I appreciated they still taken me in. Waited about 20mins, if I knew I wouldn’t have fill the form prior coming so I can kill the time. Apparently, I wasn’t late, they were. I would’ve to wait 30mins anyway. Someone before me had to wait for a while too.
The receptionist I spoke with were very cheerful and kind. There was another receptionist when I check out also — both were sweet.
Teeth cleaning was fine. The hygiene were great, friendly, and knowledgeable.
No teeth whitening, and I had to asked about it when the session end. They said they will accommodate me by doing the flourine. No thank you :-(I wanted teeth whitening. They say they can’t bc cavities. I went so many places prior to this place, they all said no cavities. I also had it check after seeing this place, also said no. I was very disappointed. When I read some of the review on here, i’m not the only one who have this situation.
They are very proactive in trying to get u to agree to the «suggested» treatment. I told them I only want the quotes because I really needed to go. I was very hungry and had another an appointment afterward. They kept saying she’s ready to see you soon. 7 minutes pass, I said I have to go, oh she’s ready now. But then now, can’t go in because they ppl were using the xray machine which is in the hallway, inconveniencely across from consultant door. Total wait again is closed to 10mins. I was very cranky from hunger and I didn’t want to be late for my next appointment (which I did). And this is I planned 1hr gap to encase having to run into traffic. If I didn’t have to wait about 20 minutes, I would have been fine.
In summary — No whitening but fluorine because I have cavities when I purchased this especially for whitening. Out of three dentist I saw so far this year, including this doctor, only them said I have cavity. The other two dentists could be wrong but the overall experience was not pleasant. I felt they were very pushy and trying to get you to pay in advance for the «recommend» treatment. To be fair, the receptionists were great, thank you.
Would I come back to this location? NO
Would I recommend this location? I wouldn’t, but everyone have different opinions. Wouldn’t hurt to try if you have Groupon or some kind of deals.

I was duped into this place as well – I really wish I had checked the Unilocal reviews before going.
Groupon was running a special that offered teeth cleaning, x-​rays, and in-​office whitening for $ 69. I showed up on my day of the appointment and the front desk staff were very nice, but that is about the only good thing I had to say about this place.
I really only wanted the whitening, but since I had already paid for the cleaning as well I figured I might as well get it done (even though my insurance covers 3 visits a year at my real dentist). The hygienist picked and prodded so violently that my gums didn’t stop bleeding the entire time.
Once that was over, I was handed propaganda on gum disease and tooth decay, and of course when the periodontist came in – surprise surprise – I had gum disease and tooth decay. Funny because my real dentist told me that everything was perfect just 4 months prior.
She recommended an expensive «deep cleaning» procedure, which seems to be standard issue here, that I would have to have in order to save my gums. On top of that, they refused to do the whitening (which was the only reason I bought the package in the first place!) due to this «gum disease». Instead I got a flouride treatment, which I haven’t had since I was a child.
I was led back into the consultation room and when I told the receptionist that I would decide later whether or not to get the deep cleaning, she immediately hailed the periodontist and the two of them proceeded to engage in good cop/​bad cop on my treatment plan. For whatever reason, it worked on me and I agreed to not only schedule the appointment but also to prepay it (for a 10% discount). This was $ 570 charge that I put on my credit card that day after reading their cancellation policy carefully.
Afterwards I consulted with my real dentist and a family friend who is also a DDS, both of whom confirmed the deep cleaning procedure was completely unnecessary and my actual gums and teeth were «just fine».
I called the Bezik’s office to cancel my appointment and request the refund, which I was told would be sent by check minus the 3% credit card processing fee Mastercard charged them.
This is against Mastercard’s merchant agreement in two ways – they’re not allowed to charge the fee and they must issue all refunds via the credit card and not by alternate means (the check). I informed them of this and have been playing phone tag with them for over a month now, the last two weeks of which they have been avoiding my phone calls. I filed a dispute with Mastercard who has already issued me a preliminary credit for the full amount.
Bottom line: Avoid this practice at all costs. It is shady and unethical, you will be brow-​beaten into services you don’t need, and they do everything they can to fleece you with the money you actually pay them. Hopefully Groupon will also agree to refund my money I unfortunately wasted on this place.

Sadly I have to agree with many of the people before me. I have a receding gum line and knew that I would need surgery at some point and on at least some of my teeth. The one quadrant Dr. Bezik did do was done poorly — I eventually had to go to another periodontist to get the same area done and his review of her work was less than stellar. She also was very persistent that I purchased a $ 500+ ‘stent’ for post-​surgery which was unnecessary. Lastly, and this is not yet confirmed, it is possible that the $ 500+ night guard she insisted I get (twice) has actually been causing additional gum damage

Stay away from this place, they’ll try to rip you off by telling you BS about your teeth condition, asking $ 2000 for deep cleaning… booo shame on you.

STAY AWAY! I bought a groupon discount and should have known better to go to a «discount
dentist. I went for a cleaning, xray and check up. The promotion was $ 50 for all 3, i thought it was good price. Then fluoride charges were added to my bill, ok, so i pay 100 $ for the visit. THen, she told me I had 5 spots of decay and needed 5 fillings. I am 40 and NEVER had a cavitiy in my life. I am ushered out to the business office and told if I sign up now and agree to the treatment plan i get a 10% discount. The pressure to «buy» was high, I left. while on vacation in Canada scheduled another appt with my childhood/​family dentist, who took xrays and did and exam and found absolutely nothing wrong with my teeth.
Irony is i still get postcards in the mai from the office askign me to come in for treatments! AVOiD this practice!

This place deserves –5 stars. I went to this dentist before the review before me was placed sadly. If I had known I would have never have gone considering the same exact situation that happened to her, is currently happening to me! However, instead of them agressively trying to get me to take their treatment, I went in for half of my mouth to be «deep cleaned». Until I found out that what they did wasn’t a deep cleaning but just a scaling (they didn’t use novocaine, just some gel that didn’t numb me at all), I decided to not use them and went with a cheaper and honest doctor. Now they say I owe for the entire amount even though they never did the full amount of work!!!
These «Doctors» are crooks! I have never dealt with a more unprofessional group of individuals. Not to mention that when you try and fix the situation and speak with the doctor, she never returned my calls and hid behind her secretaries. The worst Dentist I have had the displeasure to have as my «dr».

If I could give zero stars I would. This place is so unethical and tries to needlessly jack up the price of your bill. I paid for x rays, a cleaning, whitening, and an examination, and they did 1 of those four things. The dentist told me I had a cavity in almost every tooth and then suggested we take out all my fillings and sealants and put new fillings again, and then they wrote up a deep cleaning periodontal plan and told me they wouldn’t do the regular cleaning until the day of the deep cleaning. Did I ever say I believed them or wanted to get all these crazy things done with my teeth? No.
After I went to go see a REAL dentist with a good reputation, I ended up with a more realistic 1 cavity and a new toothbrush that hits the gum area better. «Dr» Bezik’s office aggressively tried to get me to agree to a treatment plan that was 3K. Once I complained they were like ok you can COME BACK and get the regular cleaning. Why would I go back and waste gas and time doing what they should have done the first time?
ABSOLUTELY AWFUL PLACE. It is worth it to just pay a Washingtonian top ten dentist to check your teeth out to dodge the shady practices like this.
