I only wish that Joel’s revisionist history to my initial posting were accurate. It was not. I could more details about the problems with their restoration of our 1986 Trans Am, or, I could describe the problems with the body work and repair of my son’s car following an accident. But, I will simply leave it that my strongest recommendation based on extensive experience with Cedar Park is to not let them do anything to a car other than paint it. Their painting is good, everything else…

Fast, efficient and friendly professionals. Would recommend them to anyone.

I’ve owned my 1966 big block Corvette for 27 years and am very particular about who works on it. Finding expert diagnostics and repair together with a passion for muscle cars isn’t easy. Mostly I end up doing the work myself if I’m able or just letting a problem fester.
This summer, before contacting Joel Ross, I was experiencing an expensive trinity of diagnostic/​repair/​restoration nightmares, i.e., a mysterious vacuum leak, faulty carburetor, and significant ignition system problems including a failed distributor. I consulted with and had work performed by three recognized «experts» in the Corvette and muscle car field to the tune of over $ 2,000 and rising. None of them correctly diagnosed nor even came close to solving the problems. Simply, the car wouldn’t run or when it did it was un-​driveable.
The day I first visited Joel to discuss working on my car, they were working on ’69 Camaro, doing a body off on a ’59 Corvette, painting an MGB, making an early ‘60s Impala restomod and fabricating at least one hotrod. Using that experience and consulting with me every step of the way, they methodically went through my car’s problems, fixed old parts where they could, installed new parts as needed, repaired faulty old wiring where necessary and installed a new ignition system which I supplied. My car now runs as well or better than it ever has and is certainly more reliable.
I engaged them to correct mechanical problems, and they certainly did, but I also like an awesome looking engine compartment and their attention to detail and the neatness of the wiring is the best. From the hours spent and quality of the work, I know Joel could have charged me much more than he did. For those caring about such things, his labor rates are essentially the same as any run-​of-​the-​mill shop in this area.
In the off season I plan to have Joel and his guys replace all my wiring harnesses (a job I’ve done on another old car and will never, ever do again) and that’s the best recommendation I can give.

I just took my 2002 Grand Am to this shop because I’ve had great success with them in the past working on my other vehicles (including my F250 pick up a couple weeks ago), and once again, I was not disappointed. They had to replace a belt, and some pulleys which involved lowering the engine, and it seemed to be no problem for them. Finally, I’ve found an auto shop I can trust, with great service and prices!

I went to this place to get an estimate on replacing my headlight, they said that it would take three days for the part to arrive. I let them know that I would be going out of the country but wanted to get this fix. I called them the Monday I returned and they let me know that the part had nit arrived but should be in later that day or the next, and that they would call me when it dies. later the next day having nit received a called I called back, they told me the same thing. not in yet but should be later that day and that they would call me. I had let them know. that I needed thus fix because I had just switched my license plates to VA and needed to pass inspection. However this seemed
concern to them because I called back for the third day in a row and again the said the same thing it would be in later that day and they would call me. They never called, and have yet to do so.
Clearly they only want business they are interested in with who they are interested in.

I don’t think these guys are what they used to be from the reviews I read here. When I first read the reviews, I was dead set on going to these guys, even though it was really out of my way.
I called ahead of time, explained my situation that I was recently in a fender bender, and I had an estimate from my insurance company. I first asked if they could help me. The lady on the phone said to come on by. She sounded friendly and I felt piece of mind as my poor crushed toyota made its way to Merrifield. I pulled in probably 5 minutes late, to an overcrowded parking lot with a lot of «project» cars, like old cars and expensive cars. When I entered the shop, I was rudely greeted by an employee. I explained to him I made an appointment, and he looked at me like I was the biggest idiot on the planet. I showed him my estimate from my insurance company, and he walked out with me to take a look at my car. With one glance, he told me he couldn’t help me. WHAT?!
He said he wasn’t interested in taking my car and he was «too busy» with other cars. I begged him again, but the same response was given. Then, he walked away, back into his lair of lies. What the hell? If they were «too busy» to even touch another car, why didn’t the receptionist tell me? Why did I have to haul ass all the way to Merrifield because I thought I would get good customer service? That’s generally the point of calling ahead.
Minus points for the rude introduction, minus points for the rude brush off he gave me, minus points for the receptionist.

I’m sorry to report, but this place really is only good for body work. The mechanical work is not a strong point for them. I had to take my vehicle back 3 times to get things working somewhat properly. And on top of that, the customer service was awful. I never received calls from them regarding updates on my vehicle. I had to call them to find out if the work had been done and what the costs were going to be.
Not a good experience. I will never go back.

We have a fleet of 17 cars and trucks we use for delivery. In this area we get run into allot. Anytime one of our vehicles needs bodywork I take it here no matter where the other insurance company wants it to go. Joel and Larry have been taking care of me for 5 years now. It is usually a fender bender situation and I can come in get an estimate done in 5 minutes and be on my way. They give me a call when the parts are in and I’ll go drop it off. I have never had a car in the shop for more than a week. This is a big deal I need these cars on the road. Great people that do great work and get it done on time.

After searching high and low for a good collision repair place I’ve finally found one. From start to finish I was completely comfortable with my experience with Cedar Park Auto Body. I would definitely recommend their service to anyone in the DC metro area.
I showed up without an appointment for an estimate and they took their time (in a good way) looking over some damage I had caused to my passenger side doors. I stupidly cinched the side of the car on the corner of a brick wall… it was ugly. I wasn’t paying with the help of insurance but the guys at Cedar Park Auto Body did everything they could to keep the cost down. The estimate I received was less than the three I had gotten from other collision repair shops… by far! They replaced the shell of both the front and rear passenger side doors while maintaining the mechanisms inside. Other places wanted to completely replace both doors. They also said they would do their best to make the paint match the color of my 10 year old highlander and they certainly did! It looks great!
Everything they had told me at the time of my estimate was true. The repairs took just as long as they said they would and the price was exactly as estimated. When I called for an update they happily obliged. They were always friendly when talking on the phone and when I called to say I couldn’t pick the car up until the next day they had no problem with it. And Alice C. is right – Everyone I interacted with was respectful and personable.
These guys are top-​notch and well worth your business!

When I need something done quickly, correctly, at a fair price and a smile I go to Cedar Park. This is a family owned business and they are truly the definition of honest mechanics. They’re not out to make an extra buck at the expense of unknowledgeable people like myself. They’ve taken care of everything on my car (s) from oil changes, to brakes to misc. other crap that breaks on my cars without breaking my bank account.

Auto body and mechanical work is no cheap thrill. So when you need work on your vehicle and want to avoid any problems/​headaches, Cedar Park Auto Body is the place to go. No more worrying about the quality of work on your car. These guys are top notch! Excellent customer service and very easy to deal with!
With that said…
I’ve seem to spend a lot of time at Cedar Park due to my roommate’s inability to back out of a driveway without hitting my car! Cedar Park did an excellent job repairing the damage. If it happens again **AHEM** let me try that again. WHEN IT HAPPENS AGAIN… I will definitely return to Cedar Park!

Incredible to find a fantastic, honest body shop!
Took my car in after a friend backed it into a pole, causing some damage to the bumper. After looking it over, Cedar Park told us that the damage was only cosmetic, and that since we live in D.C. (where cars get hit frequently while parked on the street), it’s probably not even worth it to try to correct. If we do decide to correct some of the damage, they quoted us a very reasonable (under $ 100) rate, and said they can do it in a day.
You know you’ve found an honest body shop when they will turn away work. If anything else happens to my car, I will definitely be back!

I have found my new body shop of choice. This place is great.
Having read great reviews of Cedar Park Auto Body on Unilocal and Google, I decided to take our 2005 Prius there after it had been backed into (T-​boned) by another driver while it was in my daughter’s possession. Both side doors were rather significantly smashed. The other driver’s insurance company accepted liability and wrote us a check for the repairs.
Dealing with Cedar Park was the least stressful body shop experience I have ever had. They are open on Saturday mornings, 9 – 12, which was very convenient. (Another convenience is that they are very close to my house, but that doesn’t help most people.) When I took the car in last Saturday, they examined it on the spot and compared their observations with the insurance company’s estimate.
In addition to the T-​bone smash, we also needed to repair/​replace the front bumper and part of the grill from damage incurred by driving over potholes. They wrote up an estimate for that repair immediately, and told me both repairs would be done in about a week.
Five days later, on the Thursday after I had brought the car in on Saturday, they called to say the repairs were done. When I picked the car up, the charges were LESS than what they had estimated. The work is immaculate, and everybody in the shop was courteous and respectful.
Believe all those positive reviews. This is a fantastic body shop. (It’s a tiny bit hard to find, since it’s back at the end of a driveway off Hilltop Drive. Just follow the sign and you’ll get there.)

Last week, my car decided it wanted to see what would happen if it tried to take out a pole. My car lost that battle, and i was left with a scratched up back door and dent in the back panel. After taking it to several body shops in the area, and explaining that I didn’t want to get my insurance involved, I came up with a wide range of prices.
My decision to go with Cedar Park was based not only on the thoroughness and attention to detail from the staff but also due to their helpfulness in working with me on the price. They explained what I needed to have done versus what would be nice but not necessary. They were so friendly and even though I had an other autobody shop with a lower bid, I chose them because I felt completely at ease leaving my car there. The little bit of extra money was totally worth the peace of mind.
The end results were fantastic. You wouldn’t even be able to tell that the car had any sort of damage to start with. The car looks great and if I ever had any issues again, I would go back to Cedar Park in a heartbeat.

Dealing with Cedar Park was quick and easy. I picked the shop because of prior Unilocal!reviews, and because they are located near my work and the Dunn Loring metro. I liked them because they were flexible with my time and reasonable in cutting costs.
1. They give accurate estimates on the time to repair, and was willing to work with me on that to shorten it. On their advice, I was the first person into the store in the morning on a slow day with good weather (for the paint) so they could the work done faster. They originally estimated they would need the car for two days in the shop, but by planning out the repair date and coming in early, I had the car back the same day, which was very convenient.
2. I ordered a part off the internet, it was about 33% less expensive than retail. Cedar Park Auto Body was fine with my parts, and just gave me a new estimate, with the retail cost of the parts deducted. The drawback in this approach is the time and research in ordering a part off the internet.
The repair job was good. They did forget to fully clean paint off a dent upon pick-​up, so I had to wait an extra 20 minutes for them to do that when I got my car, but it was an understandable, and I was very happy to get the car back early.

These guys were great. What I was looking for was the following:
(1) Honest and reasonably priced for parts and labor. They totally met this requirement by being very open about what exactly they were charging me for and how they were going to go about fixing the car. They mentioned that what work would be «nice to have done,» and what was actually the crucial part of the repair. The price was very reasonable.
(2) A body shop that respected my time. I went for a consultation, they ordered the necessary parts, I came back in the next day and they had it fixed in 20 minutes. No muss, no fuss. It was awesome.
Basically, I got what I came for, and the work was quality and the price was very reasonable and I was able to get on the rest of with my life. That is all I ask for in a repair shop, really.
A plus (but important for some people, I suppose) was that they were very respectful and personable. I mean, the more important issue for me is the price and quality of work, but it’s cool that they weren’t brusque and disrespectful when I asked questions. If I have need to get more repairs done on the body of my car, I’ll probably go back to this place again. It was a huge relief to me to be able to find a place like that, particularly after I’d had somewhat of a bad experience at another body shop in Alexandria.

Car repair is not a fun activity. No one enjoys paying $ 714 out of pocket to make their precious four wheels look a bit better, especially me. However, Cedar Park did their best to make it as pain free as possible.
There’s a back story here, my car was hit and the other insurance company was paying. This is where they recommended and though it was quite far from where I live, I acquiesced. They arranged the car rental and took care of all the repairs. Sadly on my way to drop off my car I hit someone else! :(But they were great and repaired my own damage in the same time as the other damage, so I didn’t have to get my own rental. They were very easy to work with and the final price actually came out less than the estimate.
Though one reason why they only get 4 stars (well two reasons if you count the fishy sounding two previous reviews that sound a bit staged…) is because the put my rear windshield wiper on upside down, which rendered it inoperable until I had time to drive back out to their location (10 miles or so from me) and have them repair it. Which they did quickly (about 15 minutes) and for free (obviously).
