Carpet Palace

Before I get into the review, here is my rating system: 1 star = poor, 2 = adequate, 3 = average, 4 = very good, 5 = excellent. I wouldn’t consider returning to 1 or 2 star places and I would only return to a 3 star place if there wasn’t a better option.
Carpet Palace is in a slightly difficult to get to location but that’s about the only negative. I walked in, looked around and the employees were helpful in answering my questions and concerns. I bought a carpet remnant to protect the newly installed hardwood floors from heavy furniture back in December. The staff helped me understand the quality of carpets and how they cut and bind the remnant into a rug. I bought one large remnant to make two rugs — one for the living room and the other for the bedroom. The living room rug was according to the specification I requested but the bedroom piece was a few inches short (8 sq inches). Unfortunately, I had kept this piece rolled up for a few weeks since there was no space to roll it out until recently. So close to a month had passed before I realized that it was smaller.
I recently went back in with my receipt and explained the situation and my concerns, not expecting much (i.e., that they would say that I waited too long and that there would be nothing they can do since it’s been cut), but they proved me wrong! They said to go ahead and bring the shorter piece back and that they will cut me a new piece according to size. They couldn’t find the exact same remnant type, but allowed me to choose one that was comparable. I was perfectly fine with that. They fully acknowledged the mistake (hey, we all make mistakes right?), took responsibility, apologized, and corrected the situation, even though they could have said too bad, it’s against store policy, have become really defensive (even though I approached the situation calmly), treated me rudely, or not have apologized at all.
Proper customer service like Carpet Palace is what I appreciate. I don’t subscribe to the notion that the customer is always right, as the customer can be wrong. I simply want people to be respectful of my concerns, acknowledge them, and work with me to address my concerns. Carpet Palace certainly did so and because of that, I will definitely be returning here the next time I need rugs/​carpet. And the quality of carpet remnant rugs that I bought are very good — no problems there!
So, if you’re looking for rugs or carpet, I would say it might be worth your while to at least check out their store and take a look around. I will definitely be recommending this place to my family and friends. Thank you Jay and Kim!

The price is competitive and the sales people are professional. They helped me to pick the color and style of the runner. Before I signed the contract, they also explained to me how the runner will be installed and things need to be aware of. On the installation date, the installers arrived on time. The main installer had 15 years of experience in this industry and is professional and friendly. The job was well done.
I will recommend Carpet Palace to my all friends.

I have bought area rugs and remnant on three different occasions from Carpet Palace Inc. The staffs are very nice and friendly especially the owner who always helping us. He has a great eye for what will work for each rooms in our house. I enjoy talking with him and he always give us a great deal for the goods. This store always have a great section of area rugs and remnant and the price are reasonable.
