Belle Mode Intimates

I have never written a Unilocal review before but I felt so strongly about my experience that I wanted to write something down. I waited for an hour and a half for a fitting room. I tried on several bras and was fitted again for my size. The women were nice enough but I think their customer service suffers because they have too few rooms and too few employees. Once I found a bra that I liked, I went up to pay for it and then I had some questions about another bra. I was not helped and had to wait again to pay for the bras. After being there for 2 hours, I left empty-​handed. I told the woman behind the counter that I had to leave and all she said was a weak, «I’m sorry.» I was disappointed.

THANK YOU!!! I needed a swim suit to go on a company trip and have not had success in the past at the basic swim shop or department store. I knew that they sold swim so I decided to check them out. Not only did they have a selection of sizes so we could determine the fit, but also once we determined my size, they showed me the vendor’s books so I could special order one I liked. I went back last night and not only bought a new swim suit (something I haven’t done in years) that I feel great in, but also a new bra to work with my evening event dress! Everyone was wonderful and I am ready to go! Thank you to Nicole, Monique and Natalie and all the associates there!

I’ve been meaning to get in here for awhile, and today it finally happened! I’ve lost some weight the last few months and as such desperately needed some new bras. I decided that I needed to invest in some good bras, and Monique & Sam were super helpful! They brought me a ton of different styles/​sizes and really listened to me when I told them what I did/didn’t like. I’ll definitely be coming back the next time I need new stuff! =)

I visited here for the first time with my friend a few weeks ago at the recommendation of her neighbor and went back today to pick up a bikini they had ordered for me to try. I have to say my experiences here have been absolutely fantastic. As someone who normally dreads bra and bathing suit shopping, I have found my new go-​to source for both and I found two bathing suits and three bras that I absolutely LOVE with the help of Nicole and her staff! My size tends to fluctuate which means I always have to try EVERYTHING on and I love how Nicole made sure each piece fit perfectly and that I was comfortable in them. I cannot say enough good things — I would definitely recommend you give them a try! They will wow you!

This place is fabulous. Came in today for a new bra, I am 7 months pregnant and have been so uncomfortable in my old bras. Natalie not only helped me pick the perfect bra she taught me about the perfect nursing bras for the future. Will DEFINITELY be purchasing my bras here from now on!

As some reviewers have mentioned, this place is a Lifesaver!
They were very friendly and helped me find my better-​fit measurements. I felt encouraged to try different bra styles, designs and brands and was surprised to find new favorites! There were couple bras that I wouldn’t have found in other chain stores. Would definitely come back to look for more!

Belle Mode is only worth visiting if you need to be sized. Otherwise, the inventory, pricing and service leave much to be desired. I found several styles that I liked, but when I looked for them in my size, there were none in inventory. I asked if they could order the pieces I liked, but the staff explained they could not based on how the designer (Marlies Dekkers) operates. I found the very bra I asked about on the Marlies Dekkers website in my size.
Considering the inventory issues, lackluster service, and pricing at MSRP, I recommend shopping elsewhere unless you have never been fitted for a bra. Even then, there are probably better places to get fitted. The staff was flustered and seemed confused by my questions.

I’ve been shopping Belle Mode since the store opened a few years ago in Fairfax Corner. Now, every undergarment, piece of lingerie, hosiery and nightgown I own is from the boutique. I cannot imagine going anywhere else. The staff is terrific and solutions-​oriented; product quality and selection are top-​notch; and I’m a firm supporter of small business. In addition to buying for myself, I now purchase a lot of gifts from Belle Mode and my friends/​family love them. I encourage everyone to visit this shop and support your community businesses!

I’ve been to Belle Mode twice. I am a 30FF so it is hard for me to find bras that fit. On top of that I am very petite with narrow shoulders. A lot of bras dig in or the straps slide off.
The first time I went I came home with a bra in my size! The manager was super friendly and helpful, but not pushy. I never felt pressured into buying anything. I went back a month later because I wanted a different style and additional bras. The same manager was there to help. She brought me so many bras, but sadly none of them fit my shoulders. She was so patient and helpful and I didn’t feel pressured to buy anything. Since none of them were fitting right I walked out of the fitting room not purchasing anything that day.
The manager then wrote down another bra store nearby that had a different stock of bras and told me to try them out. I was impressed that she would write down a competitor’s store just to help me out. I went and visited that store and found two bras that fit and purchased them. But the other store was not as friendly or visually appealing as Belle Mode. It was also more expensive. I had such a wonderful experience with Belle Mode that I will return in the fall to see if any of the new fall inventory will work for me.
If you are in the fairfax area try out this store. It is right next to the Potomac River Running store. The bras are fairly priced and comparable to bras you would find in department stores.

Thank you for helping me find the right undergarments for my mother of the bride dress. What a difference having the correct size makes!

I’ve been wearing 36C my whole adulthood and when I wanted a good bra in some lingerie outlet, the woman measured and said I was 34D but couldn’t find a right fit for me !!
But only after going here I realised what my size is and how much difference it makes ! I am so so happy right now. It is a whole different level of comfort when you have right intimates !

Great service and good selection. As a guy going in to find something for my girlfriend, I came out feeling like I got something very suitable and sexy for her.

I really like this shop. The first time I went, I had a voucher that gave me a bit of a discount so I stopped by when I was out that way (far from me) to see if it would be worth my while to come back. They have a great selection of robes, camis, bras, panties, slippers, sleep masks, etc. They also will order anything, both sizes of what they have in stock or bras that they do not stock, which I like because there are specific bras I go to for everyday wear and I won’t deviate from them until they’re discontinued!
I’ve been back a few times and have ordered a few items that I went out to pick up. They even got me to try on a chemise that I wasn’t expecting to look remotely good (30G here) without a bra, but they were pretty good. It’s nice to have sleepwear that isn’t just a t-​shirt or a full on bra. They also started stocking my favorite bra, which is awesome!
I didn’t notice a tobacco smell from next door like one reviewer mentioned. They will order things and ship them to you for free (or that’s what they told me last time I was there, policies like that change), which is fabulous. Overall, the more I have shopped here the more I’ve been impressed with how knowledgeable they are about lingerie, both fit and style, and the industry as a whole.

Let me tell you something, ladies (and gentlemen). This place and its owner/​staff has changed my life. This is no exaggeration.
When I went here, I was looking for a cute, comfortable, silky summer robe. Fast forward to three hours later and I was walking out with 2 giant shopping bags, filled to the brim. Here’s why.
My entire life, I’ve been wearing the wrong bra size. I didn’t know that until this day. I had been fitted at VS (which is basically the Target of bra shopping), Nordstrom and various other boutiques. 36C is what I was told by *everyone*. WRONG. When I walked in, the owner, Nicole, said «oh, you’re a 34D, right?» like she had on x ray goggles. A 34D… what?! Me? A 34? D? No. I didn’t believe her. It turns out, she was right!
She said to just humor her and try some bras on, because I told her I’d show her she was wrong. I told her I was looking for a nude bra with at least a teeny bit of sex appeal to it. She brought me 2 or 3 bras. I tried them on and was completely blown away. Not only did they fit, but it was basically like my boobs were screaming «THANK YOU, oh my god, THANK YOU» after years of stuffing them into the wrong size bra. Not only that, but the lounge wear and robe selections are unbeatable. Cute, sexy, comfy, whatever you want, this place has it. Once you admit to yourself just how often you come home, rip off your work clothes and stuff yourself into a pair of sweats and a tank or t-​shirt, this place will become a comfy clothing gamechanger. I never thought spending any money on something I can just steal out of my boyfriend’s drawer was worth it — but it’s so much better than what you’re used to and makes a huge difference in your at-​home comfort level.
I have now complete re-​vamped my bra and underwear collection and own 4 robes from here (one sexy/​silk, one silky/​comfy, one warm and winter-​y but still adorable, and one comfy cotton for summer). I have also tossed all my old sweats for new sleepwear shorts, all types of pj’s and actually bought some lingerie that makes MY curvy body type look and feel so incredibly sexy that I didn’t even think it was achievable.
And last, but definitely not least, this place is completely affordable if you are used to shopping at VS type prices, and it’s infinitely better. The service is personalized, the owner knows her products inside and out, so when you go in there you can say «I need a bra for _​_​_​_​_​event’s dress» and she’ll find you 10 options if you want them so that you will definitely leave with something you love.
The biggest lesson that I’ve learned from shopping here is that when you start your base layer of clothing with something that you feel amazing and comfortable in, it will change how you look at yourself in the mirror, how you carry yourself, and drastically increase your overall daily happiness. I’m not even exaggerating, ladies. I’m 32 years old, overweight and very curvy, but I feel like freakin’ Tyra Banks strutting my stuff down a catwalk when I put on my bras and underwear from here.
I have brought 4 – 5 friends here (INSISTED) since then, and am actually bringing another today and they have all left equally as satisfied as I was and continue to be with this store.
Go. You will regret nothing. Seriously. Your body and mind will thank you.

While the owner was super friendly I did start to feel pressured. I was the only
Person in the place on a weekday afternoon. She was helpful in her eagerness to help me find the right sizing for items that were cut differently. While I am no stranger to splurging on last minute items I was thrown off when my 3 items totaling over $ 400 were shoved into a plastic bag.

This place is amazing. Can not say enough good things about the people, products and knowledge contained in this store. They were knowledgeable and kind through a process that can sometimes be uncomfortable. They made it their mission to find me the right bras. I bought three at very reasonable prices and they are the best I have ever had. I am ordering more and am so excited for them to come it. The owner was awesome and Emily and really helped me discover the brand that fit the best and what ones I should order to try on next time. I will truly never go anywhere else and am now a little obsessed with new bras. Thanks again!!!

Super cute boutique with a great selection of mid-​level sleepware, bras, panties and other fun things. Not quite Agent Provocateur or Wolford, but they have a nice selection of Hanky Panky, Cosabella, Wacoal and Spanx. I am loving the no panty line — Comando. They also have a great selection of hosiery!
If anything, I would say that the store needs to be updated a bit and better organized. Things kind of seemed to be all over the place, and I really had to do some digging to find the goods.
The woman who worked here was super sweet and helpful.

First: This place smelled like the tobacco store next door. I could barely breathe the entire time I was in here. Belle Mode needs to do something to fix that smell from seeping into their store!
I was disappointed in both the selection and service of this store, especially compared to Trousseau in Vienna. They did not have much in my size at all, including only one strapless bra in stock… and my size is not that strange at all. The saleswoman wasn’t very helpful. I actually seemed to know more than her about how my bra should fit. While this store is probably a godsend for anybody just discovering the horrors of how Victoria’s Secret really fits most women, I would recommend driving an extra 10 – 15 minutes for both the service and better selection.
One thing I do like about this store is that they have a sale section! Trousseau never puts anything on sale, so I will definitely stop by every now and then just to check the sales.

There is something for everyone here! Belle mode seriously has everything a girl could ever ask for, and then some!
From a large selection of bras, undies, matching pany-​bra sets, sexy night gowns, fluffy robes, silky robes, shape ware, thigh highs (the hottest I’ve ever seen– ordered straight from Italy), corsets, lotions, slippers, to the very softest most cozy pajamas i’ve ever touched in my life! I mean, I want to live in those cotton bamboo pj’s. You know the ones that are in the front when you walk into the store– right now? Those ones! I need them! I can’t stop thinking about them! I’ll be back tomorrow to buy them… Are you getting my obsession with this place yet? Love-​Love-​Love!
