I had the carne asada taco at the Marin Farmers Market. Not to repeat other reviewers but it was the best taco I’ve ever had. That calls for a review :) Wow.

This place is by far some of the best Mexican food I have ever eaten. I get something new every time and am always impressed by the freshness and exceptional quality. These people go above and beyond to serve exquisite food. The best way I could describe the flavors is «gourmet». Every flavor and texture is thought out and executed perfectly. If you have the opportunity to eat at this booth– do it. You will not be disappointed. I would especially recommend Taco Milo.

Best. Tacos. High quality meat, tortillas from scratch, fresh herbs and rich seasonings. They seem very simple but there is a lot going on. I can’t recommend them enough. Please do yourself a favor and get one or two or ten.

These are quite honestly the best tacos I’ve ever had. Organic, local, fresh ingredients… and even gluten-free options! My favorite is the carne asada taco with pickled red cabbage and a drizzle of sour cream. The tacos can be a bit on the salty side, but they are an awesome hangover cure. ;) Thanks, Barrio! You guys rock!

It was so worth the drive from San Francisco to Barrio. Delicious pork tacos and refreshing Cucumber Aqua Fresca! The corn tortillas had a perfect corn flavor and the pickled cauliflower was delicious. Thank you Carlos and Myra!

If I had a million dollars I would invest in Barrio so that they could expand their operations and spread their good food love everywhere. This is honestly the best«eating out» experience I’ve had in awhile and they deserve all of my five Unilocal stars. First of all Barrio uses quality ingredients: GMO free corn masa in their tortillas, local and mostly organic produce, organic and grass fed meats. Second, their food tastes not just good but really, really good. Full of flavor nuances, expertly prepared, fresh and creative. Third, they are reasonably priced. Not cheap, five dollars for a taco, but the tacos are filling and worth it. Fourth, they are friendly, warm and professional-they have their act together and they deserve their success. My favorites are their Taco Mananero with Bacon and their chicken Taco. My only wish is that they would offer enchiladas and dessert! But on the other hand they are smart in sticking with menu items that customers have grown to expect and love rather than bombarding us with lots of new things and straying from the crowd favorites.

I recently discovered this wonderful stand at the Farmers Market. The food is absolutely outstanding, the quality of the ingredients is exceptional and the proprietor is warm and gracious. What a great addition to the market. I can’t wait for them to start selling their incredible GMO free corn tortillas to go, which I’ve been assured is int he works. They are hands down the best tortillas I’ve ever tasted. These folks hit it out of the park!

Wow When you eat their Taco Milo, that is what you will say. It is quite possibly the best taco you will ever taste. The meat is divine(Marin Sun Farms) and local/grass fed. The tortillas are handmade. The sauce… the best. I’m serious. Try it. These guys come to our local town farmers market in Fairfax. I get as many tacos as I can hold and I still want more. I must admit that I don’t always understand what I’m ordering — call me old fashioned, but what’s a Panucho Bomba? But, luckily it doesn’t matter at all because you can order anything and it will be pure deliciousness. So, come out to Fairfax on Wednesday afternoons(during the summer only) or Civic Center Farmer’s Market on Sundays in San Rafael and get some. Oh, and keep praying they open a restaurant(preferably in Fairfax!).
