Stellar experience all around from quality of the product (doors, windows, and siding) to the expertise of the staff. We worked with Gary and he was wonderful and very patient (no pushy-​ness to sign up right away or obnoxious phone calls urging you to go with them like with other companies out there). We shopped around a little and this was BY FAR the best deal, other companies wanted to charge us twice as much for less quality products. Gary was very knowledgeable and took the time to really explain exactly how they were going to do the install as we have a 100 year old house that has some quirks. The install team was amazing and took great care from laying down plastic, salvaging some of the original pieces to the house, and cleaning up at the end of the day. Gary came not once but twice to check on things and once again explain everything that they had done. Don’t waste your time looking elsewhere you will not regret going with American Windows.

We picked American Windows & Siding to replace the windows in our recently purchased first home, and we couldn’t be happier with the results! We started getting quotes from some of the other businesses in the area, but started having second thoughts about the project. The sales reps all seemed a bit disingenuous and like they were just trying to make the sale. We weren’t comfortable parting with the little money we had left after buying our home in return for a product and service we didn’t trust.
American Windows was the last company we called– and we were happy that we did. We worked with Ben, who did an incredible job from start to finish. He came to our house for the initial measurements, and recommended a few products to choose from that fit our needs and budget without compromising on quality. One of the things I appreciated the most about Ben is that after he gave us the initial quote, he left us alone to think and make our own decision; he did not continually call and pressure us like some of the other companies did. He was very reachable and answered all of our questions and made sure we were completely informed on all points. Still being a little cautious about such a big purchase, we went to their showroom to look at all the different windows available. He walked us through each one and carefully explained everything. We left convinced that the products he initially recommended were indeed the best ones for us to choose from.
We picked our window, and were told that the windows would be ready in X amount of time, which would probably be after our wedding rehearsal dinner that we were planning on having at the house. We would still have the old beat up windows there– oh well. Ben called us a week before the event and told us that he was able to get the windows delivered in time! His installation crew, led by Sam, were there a few days later and did 9 out 10 windows in just about 3 hours, and their work looks flawless! They truly are a talented team, and worked very diligently and professionally. The 10^th window ended up not fitting properly. Ben said he would do his best to have it rush-​delivered before our event. Ben and his installation crew came through with flying colors. They came the morning before the event, and completed a flawless installation. We all can agree and understand that stuff just happens sometimes and mistakes are made some where down the line. But what really makes a company’s customer service stand out is how they handle that unexpected mistake; these guys handled it perfectly.
They even helped me figure out how to get our blinds back up since the brackets no longer fit in the window frames because of the new windows. Crisis resolved!
Our rehearsal dinner was a huge hit, and we received so many compliments on the new windows, both on the product itself and the flawless installation. We do not regret a single cent of this purchase. Give Ben a call. These are the guys you want to put your trust in.

I hated buying windows with a passion. From 3-​hour at home consultations (you go ahead and listen about windows for 3 hours), high pressure sign-​right-​now tactics, all homeowners have to be present nonsense, to the fact that it’s extremely difficult to find any objective comparisons between different brands of windows. The process was rather overwhelming and we ended up with quotes from $ 5K to $ 20K to replace 19 vinyl windows, and very little understanding of why such a huge discrepancy.
Then I met Ben in their showroom, and life got better. He was straightforward, helped me understand the difference between options, I could actually see full size windows for all brands we were considering, and within 30 minutes I had a quote. It wasn’t the lowest (but it was far from the highest), and it was in line with another quote we got for the same brand from a different contractor. Ben came to the house to take measurements, and that’s when I actually got impressed. As it turns out, we have 3 windows that needed tempered glass. How do I know, you may ask? Well, after Ben mentioned it, I read the building code. If you didn’t think 3 hour presentations are fun, try reading the building code. None of the other contractors brought it up. This showed Ben really knew what he was talking about, and we signed the contract.
The first order that came in was wrong, but Ben let us know promptly. On the day of installation, Sam and his crew showed up on time, and got to work right away. The guys were really nice, efficient, they replaced some rotten trim at a very reasonable cost, they cleaned up after they were done, and around 5 pm we had all brand new windows. We’re very happy to have a contractor we like and trust now, and we’ll certainly work with American Windows on our next project.

This is a first-​rate company in all realms! We worked with Brad and right from the start we could tell that we were in very good hands. He is totally versed in his field and he is wonderfully straightforward. His expectation of superior workmanship and his attention to detail are incredibly impressive. Moreover, the work crew was highly skilled, polite, and dedicated to producing high quality results. We will definitely call American Windows and Siding when we are ready for our next project that falls under their expertise! Let me start by saying that my wife and I spoke to five companies before choosing to go with Brad and American Windows. Brad set himself apart from other salesman by his straight forward approach and his attention to detail. We were looking to replace all 20 windows and Brad clearly explained our options and provide great suggestions. He clearly explained the process from order to installation. There were no surprises and we are thrilled with our windows. On the day of installation, Sam and the crew were on time, clean and extremely polite. They were able to install all of our windows in one day with perfect craftsmanship. When choosing windows it can be very confusing and overwhelming… do yourself a favor and call Brad… it’ll be the best decision you make. I have a couple of photos from today’s installation that I’ll attach to this post. We will be using American Windows in the future projects.

If you’re pricing out windows or doors, you should definitely give these guys a call. Very straightforward, easy to work with. I called and had a very knowledgeable salesman (Paul) to talk to within 30 seconds. THAT NEVER HAPPENS.

I would give more of 3.5 stars if I could. The windows and installations process was great. Nevertheless, the communication needs improvement. We were told it would take 4 weeks for the windows to come in. After waiting over 2 months, we called the company and they informed us the windows broke during shipment. I understand they have no control over that, but at least inform us about the situation instead of leaving us hanging on what is taking so long.
Secondly, I gave the installer two checks for the total amount. The next day, the manager (possible owner) informed us that we still owe money. To find out, he only cashed 1 of the checks. The manager should have not assume that we didn’t pay for the job, but rather inquire about the situation and give us the benefit of the doubt.
At the end of the day, the windows look great and the installers were nice and efficient.

These guys were great. I did a lot of shopping and they had the best price. No «Sign Right Now Discount», just straight up and honest dealings. Did 95% of the design via e-​mail. Give them an idea of what you want and they’ll email you a graphic of what it will look like. The door turned out great, installed well and in one afternoon. Replaced the old door cause the fit was so bad you could see light around the edges, the new door seals up tight. Thanks so much Jim & Ed!

I have to give these guys 5 stars. They replaced 16 old wood windows with vinyl double pane double hung at a very reasonable price (about $ 500 each including lead containment add-​on). Their work was professional, fast and the clean-​up practically flawless. Salesman Gary was a pleasure to work with. I had gotten 5 estimates and American was very competitive. I’m loving my new windows and are happy to recommend American Windows & Siding.

These guys are great. They replaced my windows and siding years ago thanks to neighbor referrals and all still look good. I just recently had a problem with one of the windows and they promptly had it fixed and I was happy to learn that it was indeed under warranty.

I’m loving my new windows! They’re such a step up from what we had before (well, that’s not hard considering they were the original metal windows from 1958 that wouldn’t even open).
We had 15 windows replaced in our house. We purchased windows that are double-​pane and double-​hung vinyl with with a good u-​score and a lesser-​known brand than Pella or Anderson, so the price was right. With removal of the old windows and install, it came out to just shy of $ 500/​window, and that includes a huge picture window in the front of the house. American was less than other estimates we got for the same windows.
The salesman, Jim, was very nice and not pushy like some other window salespeople we dealt with. There were 3 workers here on the day of the install, and they had their system down pat – one removes the window, one comes along with the flashing, the next installs the window, and then one guy comes back to add caulk. They were done in 6.5 hours and cleaned up after themselves.
They have excellent reviews on Angie’s list so this is another reason why we selected them. There’s a coupon on Angie’s as well so don’t forget to use it.

We had 5 vendors come in and bid on our project, 18 windows and a sliding door, first their price was cheaper by almost $ 4000 than anyone else for the same class of window (Vinyl energy efficient, etc.). We saw very little difference in any window company that came to our house. The sales rep was quick, efficient and didn’t give us any BS, like a buy it now price. The windows were ready in 2 weeks and installed in one day. The crew was professional, efficient, and gave me tips on how to put my blinds back up. They cleaned up after themselves and the end result was great. They didn’t even take the soda and drinks we offered them.
