Specialties
LaserLinc designs, manufactures, sells, and services precision non-contact measurement equipment.
LaserLinc offers a line of laser micrometers for measuring diameter, ovality (also called eccentricity, roundness or circularity), part position, and other characteristics; and a line of ultrasonic material thickness (typically wall thickness) and concentricity measurement equipment.
Applications include wire, cable, tube, hose, pipe, monofilament, optical fiber, and many continuous manufactured products. Our equipment is also suitable for benchtop and automated inspection for products such as catheters and camshafts.
Our equipment typically provides a return on investment in one or more of the following ways:
— Material savings
— Improved quality
— Scrap reduction
— Production efficiency
— Process improvement
— Inspection with quality documentation
LaserLinc’s products are manufactured in the U.S.A. by American workers. LaserLinc is a privately held, 100% U.S. owned corporation.
History
Established in 1994.
LaserLinc began with the mission of providing PC-based interfaces to scanning laser micrometers. LaserLinc’s product line quickly expanded to include its own line of laser micrometers.
Laser micrometers provide precision, non-contact measurements of diameter, ovality (also called eccentricity), part position, and other dimensional characteristics.
In 2007, LaserLinc introduced another extension to its product line: the UltraGauge+ Material Thickness measurement system.
LaserLinc has continually expanded the offerings in each of these categories. LaserLinc has also improved its flagship HMI/MMI product, Total Vu software, since its initial introduction in 1998. The Total Vu HMI now offers a full-suite of tools for measurement processing, graphical display, I/O, data capture, SPC, charting, closed-loop control, process analysis, and reporting.
