Smog ‘N Go

This place is one of the best smog shops I’ve ever been to. .. and I’ve been to quite a few!
Clean, well organized, clear & posted charges actually make the dreaded smog trip a pleasure.
The office manager Jesse was very efficient and kept the line of customers informed of the process as we checked-​in and waited for the results.
After I passed, an unexpected bonus was the shops ability to renew my registration right then & there. For a small extra fee of $ 25.00 (plus normal DMV fees) I walked out with an official CA 2017 sticker!
Anyone who has ever had to endure CA DMVs reg. process will happily pay almost anything to avoid the field office congestion.
Can’t say enough good things about this place. In & out in under an hour.
Our family cars will now return here on a regular basis. Thanks again Jesse!

DO NOT USE THIS PLACE FOR SMOG. Incompetent techinican took over an hour to test my car. Called for another kid to monkey with my crankshaft, (im not kidding) failed me, took my $ 50 with a free retest. Then when i went to leave, my car immediately had sudden mechanical and idle problems that it never had until they touched it. First they told me they were trying to get it to pass, then they became rude, aggressive, argumentative, and denied any wrong doing. Both employees talked down to me, i left and my car was really sluggish/​idled bad all the way home.
The next day, the punk kid manager jimmy just dished off the phone to the tech who broke my car who continued to be rude, i got a district manager brian involved who was even more rude, very argumentative, laughed at me, denied everything, lied. then in the end admitted his employees touched my car. I got a full refund, and they printed on my reciept CUSTOMER DID NOT LIKE THE WORK WE DID IS NEVER ALLOWED TO RETURN AGAIN. Dont worry i will NEVER RETURN HERE. Horrible people. Do yourself a favor and AVOID.

I have gotten a few cars smogged here in the past and just got our ’91 truck smogged here last week. I am generally uncomfortable going into places like this as a female, because i never feel that Im being taken seriously. Smog ‘N Go employees are great. They are respectful, efficient, and they provide great service. When I took my truck in, I was there for less than 20 minutes and I had a few questions while I was waiting and the gentleman at the desk was incredibly friendly and made the short 20 minute wait more enjoyable. I would definitely recommend Smog ‘N Go!

10 bucks off just by checking in on Unilocal.These guys are fast and efficient. I have used then about 7 times and it is quick and efficient. I have also used there DMV services which work great. They charge 25 bucks for DMV help which is expensive but so convenient.

They put separate prices for items that you have to get all together. So it will say the smog check is $ 59, in the certificate is another $ 9, but you don’t have a choice on whether or not you even want the paper. So when you think you’re getting 10 $ off The cost of the inspection you’re actually not. Which is literally the only reason I even went to them in the first place. So that sucks. And it’s pricey compared to others and takes longer. I give them 3 stars because at least they actually did the service.

Super fast and really nice! I’ve been here several times in the past and I have always had great service. I’m leery of dealing with anything that has to do with a car without my hubby there but I’ve always had a good experience here. Mention Unilocal and you will get $ 10 off with nothing to print. I highly recommend this location.

This is the second time that I’ve been to the shop and the first time was with my husband’s car which for some reason it didn’t pass smog even though its a fairly new car I think it had something to do with the computer chip being out of whack so we ended up having to go to the dealer to have it fixed it was a real hassle but it wasn’t their fault I took my car in this year and it did pass smog but I wasn’t really happy on that they had moved the seats in my car and not put them back and I’m really kind of it about that because it’s irritating to have to reset your seat

Only reason I didn’t give this a 5 star is because I am used to a more personalized service of my usual smog guy who knows me on sight something a chain store with multiple employees just can’t really do.
DMV required me to go to a Star facility to get my smog these last two times so I couldn’t go to my regular guy. Smog N Go did an excellent job both times. Fast friendly and had more service bays than my regular guy.
If my regular guy ever retires Smog N Go will be my regular smog place. It is great to have such a wonderful alternative to my regular guy.

Stay away from this location.
Why all employees over there look angry and stupid!
Smile and pay attention to the customer’s questions.
Clean the bathroom also.
Always say thank you to the customers. You are not there if customers aren’t coming.
Kindness matters. Smog N Go should teach kindness to the employees.

«Quick» is the word they have written all over their windows, yet they’ve had my car for an hour after telling me it’ll only be 20 – 25 minutes. When I asked about it, they were rude. Wouldn’t recommend coming here. Go spend a $ 70 somewhere that can get you in and out as quick as they promise.

I went here today and I was so impressed. The customer service was great and they took care of me right away. I walked in at 11:11 and walked out at 11:31. Twenty minutes is all it took. Another guy came in with a diesel truck and it took less time for him. Friendly young kid at the front counter. It was easy and hassle free. I also got a discount for checking in on Unilocal,so that was helpful.

If you’re in need of a good dose of patronization and condescension just ask for Chris, he’ll hook you up! Left with more questions than answers from this place. I would have said something to the manager but he was busy straightening out a personal financial issue on his phone the whole time during my visit. I will not return.

Does what they say they’ll do. No hassle at all. I drove in midday during the week, they had me smogged and out the door quickly. The guy at the desk was polite and efficient.
On their website, they have (or had) a $ 10.00 off coupon, so my grand total came to $ 58.00, including the certificate. That came to about $ 10.00 less than another place that I looked at (that offered a $ 20.00-off coupon)

Excellent and super fast service. Went in just as they opened and sailed through in less than 20 minutes. Car still under 10 years old so no problems expected and none found. Really great and fun guys provided good customer service too.

AVOID.
Long story short, these guys failed me stating on my report «Visible smoke from tailpipe» Young guy told me they didn’t run the test because after seeing the smoke they knew it would fail.
Called around to various mechanic shops, all of whom were surprised and dismayed to hear that a test was not run. They said in order to diagnose the problem, they need the report to see WHY it failed.
Called in, spoke to John about this. He said bring the car back in and they would run the test. Brought it back in, he did not re-​test, saying that they did run the report and points to some readings, saying it failed an evap test and probably has a leak. I asked him why the guy would have told me that. He said he didn’t know.
I took it into a mechanic. He checked the whole car, found no leak. HERE IS THE IMPORTANT PART.
Mechanic told me 9 times out of 10 an «evap leak» fail is simply a loose gas cap and that the guys at the smog shop should know that. He said they should have immediately checked the gas cap and re-​run the test. He noted that on my receipt from original test, I came in at 5 minutes before close. He says these guys are notorious for doing stuff like this right before close.
Went back for my re-​test (this time making sure gas cap was tightened) and I passed with flying colors.
Bottom line, these guys are either lazy or incompetent. Whichever it is, it cost me $ 50.00 to have a mechanic look at it for no reason (he gave me a discount because he felt bad) and $ 50 at the DMV for the little red «I didn’t pass smog» number, which I never needed in the first place, not to mention the 2.5 hours I spent at the DMV and paid time off I had to take to go there.
I have come here before, but will never do business here again.

I took my truck for a smog here, and they handed me the results, charged me for a certificate, but failed to tell me that I’d failed. I then sent in my registration with the $$ and went on 2 weeks vacation. When I returned, I had a letter from DMV saying that I didn’t have a smog certification. When I returned to the shop for a retest, and flunked, I asked the gentleman behind the counter why he didn’t originally tell me that I had failed. He said that «he must have overlooked it» and then took the $ 8.25 for the certificate out of the cash register to refund me. These people wasted my money and time, and left me very close to not being able to get my truck repaired in time for registration. I would NEVER go to these people again. Very unprofessional!

My experience at Smog ‘N Go was excellent. The process was very smooth and convenient… from being directed on where to park my car to having a clean waiting room to sit in… I would highly recommend this place to friends and family. When I arrived on a Saturday morning at 9:00 AM, I expected a long wait time… To my surprise, I was paying and on my way to the rest of my day by 9:45; there were at least six other customers ahead of me, too. My one and only complaint was that the waiting room was freezing, but then again, I am cold in most places and I am sure other customers appreciated it since it was going to be a very hot day.

These guys are amazing! I had the worst experience at Rancho Smog and they told my vehicles computer was broken and charged me and the Smog n Go guys had me in and out in no time and tested me with no problems!!! Good job guys!

DO NOT USE THIS PLACE FOR YOUR SMOG NEEDS!!! i have never been so mortified than the expierance i had last week at this place. The «Manager» was a 23 year old smart ass punk. The service tech was working on my car and blew up my raditor. The 23 year old kid hands me my paperwork and says «looks like you arent getting a smog today!» They then proceeded to lie and say that they werent even touching the car when it blew (as i was watching the entire process through the service bay window) By the time the whole thing was over, i was verbally attacked by 2 employees and told they werent going to help me get the car to a mechanic. After a call to the corporate office, the regional manager set them straight however, they wouldnt even look or talk to me for the 2 hour ordeal, just like typical spoiled high school kids who got in trouble for acting up. None of the employees even wear name tags which tells me that this happens alot and they dont want people to know their names. Customer Service is number 1 these days and i didnt see one bit of it here, in fact… the un-​professionalism, rudeness and lack of respect was overwhelming. as a previous repeat customer, i will NEVER go back there and i will NEVER again refer anyone there as i have in the past.
STAY AWAY! by the way, the previous review on here mentioned «decent prices»…sorry my friend, the price is the same everywhere so, that doesnt necessisarily make it a good place to go.

For a smog shop which of course is never fun, this place does their job and does it well .
I’ve had two cars smogged here, quick service, decent prices.
