History
Established in 2007.
Chris Mcilwain’s first job out of college was working as a Quality Engineer at Schilling Robotics. By the end of his tenure, he worked his way up to lead engineer on the Orion tele-manipulator Arm.
Next, he worked at Motion Control Engineering, an elevator controller company, as a Sales engineer at first but eventually sold elevator controllers and motors in the North East of the USA.
He became tired of working for corporate America and in 2005 he quit his job and started working for Geddings Engineering as a structural engineer. It was during his tenure here that he started McIlwain Mobility Service to help people improve their lives though independence.
When the housing market fell apart so did the structural engineering work. Chris found that he enjoyed solving peoples mobility and Independence problems far more than corporate America. He enjoys this more than anything he has ever done in his life.
