Inner Harmony Massage

I have been a member of Inner Harmony Massage for 6 months and each massage I get gets better and better. I came in with a lot of neck and shoulder tension related to migraines and Tyler relieved so much of my pain and I felt fantastic afterwards. If you get a membership, you can add a 2^nd massage in the month for a really affordable rate. That 2^nd massage can be used for a family member, which I can use for my husband.

Awful awful awful. I had ordered a groupon for a tandem massage for my fiancé and I. Tried to make an appointment online, emailed, and called. I had received one email back, only to never hear from them again. Constantly after multiple tries to again make an appointment for my already paid tandem massages, my groupon expired. I am very disappointed with their complete lack of customer service and failure to win possible clients. I would not ever recommend them.

There are 2 points that I want to talk about in this review, the experience and the customer service. I will start with the experience as this is why most people are reading the reviews for a massage business.
We arrived and the place was nice, not a typical massage/​spa business. You don’t get the tranquil music, waterfalls; this is a more modern place, which is completely fine. I was there for a couples massage for my me and my wife. Our Massage Therapist, came out and introduced themselves to use before the appointment which was nice, a few minutes later the brought us into the room. I am leaving their names out, as I don’t feel like they deserve a bad review or a good review. They asked if we have any trouble parts, I told them my shoulders and back have been tight lately. My therapist took that as a sign that I only wanted her to massage my back and shoulder. The tables were comfy, probably one of the better massage tables I have laid on. The massage was OK, as I mentioned my therapist only massaged my back and shoulders, no hands, feet, legs, arm, head, so I did not feel as relaxed and loose as I would normally feel after a typical massage. The massage was guaranteed 1 hour, although I highly doubt it was a full 1 hour, as there is the 10 minutes to get ready, 5 minutes to check out, it was more like a 45 minutes massage, for a guaranteed 1 hour massage. At the end of the massage, there was an associate and a new client talking very loud in the lobby, we could hear everything, they were chatting, and laughing very loud for a massage business, not a good end to out massage; however we bought this from a Groupon, so I did not expect it to be amazing. During check out they offered us another massage at the Groupon price… this is where things fell apart. Keep in mind that this review would have been a 3 star, maybe a four star (if i was in a good mood at the time of writing this), if not for the extremely poor customer service.
Time to talk about the customer Service. At check out we booked another massage a month out, when I say booked, I mean they charged out credit card, and the told us we will receive a reminder before the appointment. A month goes by and we never received a reminder. My wife calls. No one ever picks up the phone, and I mean never. They say to email… My wife emails them, and a few days later they respond, with they did not have an appointment scheduled for us. She responds with asking for our money back, and all communication gets stopped, she try’s to contact them several times, and no response. 2 weeks go by, its my turn to contact them. I call, no answer, I email, no answer, I email again… I finally get a response. He tells me the same thing trying to calm the situation down, says they had some people leave, maybe it was the therapist we had, and they don’t have enough staff to pick up the phone or respond to emails. It should not be my problem that they do not want to hire staff to service their customers, if you want to have a business that performs a service you need a service staff, but I digress. He gives me two options, I can get a refund, or he offered to schedule us an appointment and offer us 1 free 1 hour massage, so I guess my wife and I would have to roshambo, to see who gets the free massage, as he said we would have to buy one session to make it a couples massage. I asked for a refund, partially because I don’t feel like doing business with them, and partially because we just do not live close enough. After I asked for a refund, once again all communication is cut off. It has been 4 weeks now, almost 5, and we can not get a hold of anyone. It is shady, how they will communicate with me, and then just completely stop. What business charges your account but does not make an appointment. I looked on the BBB to write a formal complaint, but they are not on it, go figure.
To summarize: you will be an average massage, the ambience inst that great. I have bought better Groupon massages, had better experiences, and had better services elsewhere. Find a different place, most places cost the same and have better services. Massage places are a dime a dozen now a days, but this is a penny. Pun Intended.

This place, WOW! I am so frustrated with them! I purchased a Groupon for a couple’s massage for my boyfriend and I and was soooo looking forward to it. I got online to schedule an appointment as they recommend when you call, appointment scheduled… easy, right? NO, i get an email the following day saying there was a mistake with the system and that time was no longer available… ok, mistakes happen… WELL, I called AGAIN and left a message, no return call, I get online to see about next available, NO RESPONSE! I email one more time and detail the experience I’ve had trying to get ahold of them for a new appointment and STILL NO RESPONSE! I am so disappointed and disgusted by their lack of regard for my time and money. It’s no wonder they’re using Groupon to drum up business if this is the way they treat their potential clients!

My wife and I had a couples massage last weekend and it was a wonderful experience all around. I’ve read other reviews complaining about the chickens but this didn’t bother us a bit. The staff is great and very friendly. The rooms are clean and the atmosphere is great and relaxing. I’d recommend Inner Harmony to everyone. Cudos to the management as well for making sure we had a good experience.

I had a two hour massage today with Tyler and it was by far the best massage I have had in the area… EVER…, I am very athletic and active. And need a quality deep tissue massage for my body type and everyday sore muscles. I was a previous athlete and I have had dozens maybe hundreds of massages over the past 15 years and Tyler definitely made it to the top of that list. I love the location in old Fair Oaks.
They also offer a great membership if you are one who needs more than one massage a month. You are getting every dollar’s worth with your service here. I will be referring my friends, family and my business clients to Inner Harmony.

I’ve been going to Inner Harmony on and off for a few years. I loved my massages from Annie who unfortunately left almost two years ago. But now I feel just as great about my massages with Chadd. He is attentive and calming to be around also. Please don’t hesitate to book a massage with Chadd!

So great! My boyfriend and I went in yesterday as new costumers for a tandem Swedish massage and it was just all around a great experience and great location for me. The massage therapists were very in tune with us and our personal requests for certain things and everything was great! Booked a second appointment.
If you are planning to book an appointment, definitely do it online. Don’t try to call and re-​call waiting for someone to pick up; they don’t have a front desk person right now.

This review goes out to anyone who has ever messaged me to remind me that I haven’t been to Le Cordon Bleu. I haven’t been to massage school, either, but here I am reviewing a massage parlor. Audacious, I know.
It was hard to find at first, largely due to the fact that the massage parlor had inadequate signage. It turned out to be hidden away in the back of an office building on the corner of California and Temescal. I’m not going to pretend that Siri didn’t get yelled at on the way there. Once inside, however, I forgot all of that. This is the cutest, most calming, best-​decorated massage parlor I’ve ever been to. The couches were comfortable, there were well-​chosen soothing mantras on the walls, and I got to do my intake paperwork on a tablet. After checking «no» to roughly 7000 health conditions, I was taken back to the room to get into my Kim K. suit and get under the blanket. You know the drill.
The room was perfect. There were tons of clean shelves to store belongings on, a really pretty rug hung on the wall, rain-​forest music, and beds that were actually warm. They didn’t have lotion warmers, but I was cool with that, because it ultimately meant that less time was spent pumping lotion (pet peeve of mine).
I don’t normally mention names, but I do when Rashawn gives me one of the best massages I’ve ever had. I was having a great deal of trouble relaxing, because, you know, anxiety was not one of the 7000 conditions I checked «no» to. #projectsemicolon
However, she just kept gently reminding me to relax, like, «It’s okay, you can just let that leg go, I got you,» and she reminded me to breathe a few times. I would say that by the end of the massage I was as close to tranquil as I could be considering the circumstances.
I have never had another therapist who made me feel like she was so connected to my body. I mean of course all masseuses know pressure points and things, but she really, really seemed to care. You know how cooking tastes better when it’s done with love? (That is, by the way, official technical food reviewer speech, it’s what pays the rent in my Unilocal mansion.) Well… it’s like she put love into her massage. She really cared about what she was doing. She listened to and heard my needs before, during, and after the massage. She took so much care for my privacy that she would have aced the test in nursing school (no one else has ever even come close to how good she was at this). And, most importantly, I’ve never heard so much connective tissue pop in my life.
When the massage was over, she gave me a fairly detailed review of what she had found, as well as some suggestions (good, sound suggestions) for healing properly. Overall, I would say she is the most caring and professional masseuse I have come across so far. I actually calmed down a little bit just thinking about it and writing about it.

I bought my boyfriend and I a couples massage on groupon and we both LOVED it! It was our first time ever getting a massage so we were a little skeptical, and didn’t know if the place would be clean or what area it would be in. Cute little suite it is in and everyone looked very nice there and welcoming. We had I believe Cameron and Rashawn (two females) they did an excellent job! We will be returning soo

My massage from Kiddle was the best I’ve ever had. I’ve gone to her before and will always request her. Her quiet, soothing voice, nurturing and caring manner and wonderful massage technique made it a wonderful experience. She discusses what YOU want, and makes it very clear that it is YOUR massage, whether you want deep tissue or a lighter touch. She also makes notes about your preferences and problem areas for your next visit. She is very attentive to appropriate draping when you change positions on the table. She will talk if you want to talk, or stay quiet if you prefer silence. She’s perfect!
Their on-​line appointment process was a little slow and does not confirm until the next day.
This place is not a day spa, so don’t expect that type of atmosphere. But it is a very nice, calming environment to get a great massage, with excellent customer service. I can’t wait to go back.

I’ve had other deep tissue massages, but this is as good as it gets.
First off, the staff was very accommodating while trying to fit into my schedule. I booked by email and with only a week home they fit me in the day after I called. Everything was very efficient. Felt relaxed as soon as I walked in.
My therapist was Nicolas, and since i’m in the marines my body is pretty sore. Not anymore! He’s absolutely wonderful. Not only is he a good therapist, but he made me so relaxed I forgot where I was for a minute.
Definitely recommend Inner Harmony Healing.

Don’t book online, the system is full of bugs and there is a lack of staff. Scheduled twice with both times being cancelled without explanation.
Beware if purchasing a Groupon as you MUST view the voucher in order to book a schedule.

My girlfriend bought a package for two 60 minute massages on groupon. Checked in with a man stating he was the owner and he was very nice and had his stuff together.
During the massage was a thermal heating treatment which in so many words means that you lose 5 minutes of the hour massage due to constantly messing with the towel which produced no heat. The pressure was amazing as it was deep tissue. I might add that approximately another 5 minutes were lost walking to the cabinet in order to get more lotion, no lotion belt. After the massage was complete, 10 minutes before the hour would of been complete I never had my arms, hands or feet massaged. During the massage I was constantly directed on the proper breathing technique and the talking never ended. All in all I would definitely rank this as the worst massage I’ve ever received in my life and I’ve had close to a hundred professional massages if not more. I wouldn’t go back if they did free massages.

Pro’s: really great therapists every time I went. This new location has a lot more room than the old one.
Con’s: A lot less parking, and yes, there are roosters everywhere! If you are scared of roosters, this is not the place for you. They are all over, it did scare me a bit since there was a few outside my car door. And they make a lot of noise.
I had a great therapist, Nicolas who does a great hand and foot massage. He also had great contact, and a great flow with his hands.
Overall, it’s a great place, I just wish they didn’t change locations.

I purchased the Groupon for a sixty minute massage for two with thermal heating treatment. Neither my friend nor I had ever received a professional massage so we were both eager/​anxious to try it out. I read so many good reviews about this place and thus, we decided to give this place a go!
Firstly, the location was extremely hard for us to find. My friend is usually very good with directions and we were unable to find the location for ~10 minutes. There also seems to be limited parking directly in front of the massage center and we parked on the street across from the center. Upon arrival, I was apprehensive of the location because the outside of the building/​inside of the hallway leading up to Inner Harmony did not look very well kept.
Upon entering the actual massage center, however, my fears dissipated. Inner Harmony is very well decorated, clean, and even home-​y! There isn’t a lot of «new-​age-​y» decorations/​wall décor, which my friend and I appreciated. My friend and I filled out some paperwork and then met our massage therapists — Rashawn and Justin! My massage therapist was Justin. We spent a few minutes talking about the areas I wanted to focus on, my driving/​commute (it’s a long one!), and other exercise habits. He was very, very, very sweet during the entire massage, and did a great job of making sure I was covered/​felt comfortable. It was an absolutely mesmerizing experience. Justin didn’t go too hard with my massage (because it was my first time) but now, I wish I had asked him to! My friend LOVED Rashawn and raved about her the whole ride home!
Overall, the experience was wonderful and I highly recommend Inner Harmony!
Also — if you’re tipping with cash, make sure to bring it upon arrival! I mistakenly did not, assuming that the massage center (located next to many restaurants/​small shops) would be close to a bank or drugstore (cash back). My friend and I had to drive to a Raley’s a couple miles away to find an ATM. I was so scared we would be late for the massage since they are VERY strict about time! Luckily, we weren’t!

Amazing… The new place is beautiful and has a great feeling to the space. Our groupon for the thermal wrap upgrade for two was perfect. Chadd and Nick provided amazing massages and created a comfortable welcoming energy for us to relax.
I’m looking forward to the next appointment!

Tyler is awesome! He has a magic touch. I came in here with stiff back, glutes, and neck… so much stiffness around those areas but after seeing Tyler, everything got better. He listened and adjusted the pressure to my liking. Usually I wake up with migraines as well but after my session with him… no more migraines. I just love him. I’ve been to a lot of massage places and trust me… he is one of the best masseur in Sacramento.

I’ve had massages all over the world and Tyler wins that contest hands down. I needed someone that knew what they were doing and Tyler’s knowledge base is well beyond that of most others in his profession that you come across. You can tell that he constantly learns and works on improving which is exactly what those who are the best in their profession do. Massage is an art and a science and Tyler is the offspring of Picasso and Einstein.

For whatever reason I had never, ever had a professional massage prior to my appointment at Inner Harmony– I never had any aversion to it, I just had never gotten around to it!
Let may say firstly, that the vibe of this place is just great– I was worried it was going to be too «clean» «stark» «zen» «stuffy»… kind of like when my dermatologist relocated to a new office and it feels like I’m on the set of the show Nip/​Tuck every time I check in.
The lobby is clean and comfortable with a couple couches, and the lovely receptionist brought me water.
I hadn’t scheduled an appointment based on a particular therapist, although I do see they have profiles on their website– I received my treatment with the owner Tyler today; what a great guy!
I wasn’t sure what I «wanted» from my massage, but Tyler listened to what I had to say and was gentle and applied more pressure when I asked. From the beginning I was very warm and he gladly turned the bed warmer to a lower setting for me. We ended up chatting through my whole treatment, I know some people find the «quiet» relaxing, but it was more fun for me to get to know Tyler and hear about his very impressive professional qualifications. Now I have a better idea of what to ask for when I have another appointment! It was a very relaxing environment for me, I wouldn’t have changed anything.
I am a teeth grinder at night and end up with a lot of stiffness in my jaw during the day. Tyler was able to spend a few minutes on this problem area for me and it definitely helped relieve some of the tension.
I have nothing negative to say about this place at all. They were very informative on the services they offer and about their membership (which actually is a pretty good deal if you think you want to come back pretty often). I did not feel that they were pushy into signing up for a membership, I was thinking about it but said I would take the info home and think about it. I did go ahead and book an appointment in a week for my significant other and I will be interested to see what he thinks of his experience!
I absolutely found this place because of Unilocal & a Groupon I purchased, but I would pay full price because of the level of professionalism, cleanliness, and overall welcoming vibe. If you are new to massage or just looking for a new place, definitely give this place a try!
