Went there on a Saturday night night. Bar on the right was empty except for a few patrons at the bar and a man at a table. We wanted a bite so we were told to seat ourselves at a table. We did. We waited and waited and waited. No waitress. And it wasn’t busy at all. After about 20 minutes of waiting, three customers came in and sat a few tables over and were immediately handed menus and their table was set up. Are you kidding me? When we got up to leave, the waitress looked at us baffled as to why we were leaving. If this is the way you treat your customers, well then now you now lost a few. We went somewhere else. we ate and drank a similar establishment, had over $ 100 meal check and left the server $ 50.

The food is phenomenal here. Everything I’ve ever had from rivaras has been top notch, fresh and delicious. The service is great too. The bartenders are friendly and efficient. The drinks are strong and everything is fairly priced. They have lots of themed nights and great deals for holidays.

Our party of 4 went to Rivara’s on Sunday night. There was only one party of 12 and another couple but it took a long time before we had the waitress come to our table. She apologized since they were short staffed. Every part of dinner took a long time but the waitress was very apologetic and said she would give us a free dessert since we were the only ones not complaining. The owner stopped by with bread and was hospitable. I asked that my dinner be packed because there was more than half leftover. We paid and tipped well since it was not her fault. As we got up I realized I hadn’t got my leftovers. The waitress said they probably threw it out but she will check. And sure enough she came back and told me that’s what happened. I was upset… that was the last straw. As we left the owner was at the door and I would have thought at a decent establishment the waitress would have told him what happened and he should have made some reparation. Very disappointed.

Went for a night of bands and the cover charge was $ 5… Let me tell you after a couple hours we wanted our $ 5 back. Horrible. But the ribs were delicious!!! The only reason I’m giving any stars is for the delicious ribs.

Place is actually pretty darn cool. They have a standard restaurant on the left as you walk in and a bar if you go right. It has a nice amount of space and usually has live music according to some of the signs I saw. For a Monday night, place had a decent crowd. The waitress was good, the food was pretty good too! The beer selections are okay, nothing crazy but a few crafts to choose from. I overall really liked the atmosphere. It just has a pleasant homey vibe. You can go in and have a conversation(granted it was a night without live music). Seemed like everyone was enjoying themselves. Enough tvs to also watch any games that may be on. I’ll be back for sure. Glad I found this little gem.

We’ve passed by this place several times before, but today my family decided to try it. A gift certificate from is what brought us in, but the food and people are what will bring us back. First off, the food is great! Two of us ordered a steak and each was cooked perfectly. The medium-well was not over done not underdone; it was exactly what a medium-well steak should be. The same can be said for the well done steak. They were so good that steak sauce was not required to enjoy it. I ordered the Penne Vodka with chicken for myself and it was equally as good. The sauce was not too watery, it was perfect and the chicken did not taste like a separate add-on but really went with the pasta. To finish the night each of us enjoyed a delicious dessert. Secondly, our waitress Jessica was amazing. She was lively and kind and helpful(and I personally thought her mascara was great but that’s besides the point). Really, all of the staff was very friendly and welcoming. I definitely recommend it to anyone.

Been going here for years. Food is good, Frank the owner is great. They updated their dining room which looks great with the hardwood floors.

i like this place. the owl pub definitely has its regulars(i guess i’m sort of one too) — old drunks talking about how they hate obama(if you can tune them out, you’ll be fine). the food is good and the specials that they have aren’t bad either. the crab cake sandwich and the french dip are highly recommended.
