History

Established in 1996.

We started as a father and son team back in the early 90s taking care of some business networks in the borough of West Chester.

Through Henderson High School and then on to Penn State, Kevin maintained several office networks and provided IT support, PC sales support, and IT instruction to both students and faculty at PSU.

Milt grew his side of the business supporting manufacturing software and had Kevin provide IT services to several customers who were in need.

We worked together after Penn State and opened our first retail location in 2006 in the heart of Downtown West Chester.

Being completely honest and having expert level knowledge regarding all aspects of computer repair helps us continue to deliver the most fair and in your best interest computer service in the area.

As our client base grows so does our staff… We now have 2 locations with several full time repair technicians at each of our locations.

Kevin M.

Business Owner

Kevin has over 20 years of professional IT experience. While still attending Henderson High School, Kevin supported several local lawyers’ networks and personal computer systems.

During his college time at Penn State University, Kevin held simultaneous IT positions including classroom instructor, sales consultant, lab technician, and student support director.

After college Kevin continued his career in IT supporting a large MRP/​ERP platforms running on Novell, AS400, and Microsoft networks using multiple database backends. In 2006 Kevin established West Chester Computer Doctors delivering top level IT support to customers in and around the borough of West Chester.

Friendly, clean storefront, and they work on Macs. I decided to try them out for a Mac repair. It was a mistake. It took them several weeks and $ 50 to tell me that they couldn’t fix the Mac. In all fairness, I told them I would be on vacation, so they didn’t have to rush. But, even after I returned two weeks later, they didn’t have an answer. They promised to look at it the next day, but that didn’t happen. Not trusting the Exton store information, I contacted the main office. Got a callback stating the delay was caused by a storm which diverted their attention to other customers. Almost a month after dropoff, I picked & paid for my still broken Mac. The same week, I found to a business that looked at it within one day, fixed it, increased the memory, and shipped it back to me — all within 3 days. Can’t recommend West Chester Computer Doctors in Exton. Do your research and take it to a shop that has good reviews specific to Mac repair.
Update: The business owner emailed me after I posted this review. He generously accepted responsibility for the poor service that he had been unaware of, and offered to refund my payment. I appreciate the offer, but will not take him up on it. He sounded committed to increasing his awareness & process improvement. I increased my rating to 2 stars, only because I appreciate a small business that wants to learn from what went wrong and do the right thing.

Thank goodness West Chester Computer Doctors are in Exton! I recently had them rebuild my father’s ancient and previously obsolete Dell. They replaced the hard drive with a new solid state hard drive and ran a virus and performance check. Just two days after dropping it off, it was back in my hands and their work is amazing. So glad I had them repair it instead of buying a new computer. Saved me a lot of money. They were quick and took the time to explain all of my options in such an easy-​to-​understand way. I have had questionable experiences with IT people in the past and these guys were amazing. I will be going back now that they are open in Exton. Highly recommend!
